GREAT episode Spencer! What a treat for an old fan like myself seeing Coach Brooks. I was only 2 when he started at Oregon but I sure do remember him and the Ducks from about the time I was 6. Sometimes, if my mom was watching tv in the living room, I would have to go to my mothers room where she had a little 12" black and white tv to watch them. Newer fans have probably never seen Autzen half full, I have! LOL! Oregon has come a long ways since I started watching them in the early 80's.

Coach is 83. He is older than President Biden and older than Trump, but he sounds far sharper than both of them. Perhaps coaching football is the best thing one can do for brain health.

One of the biggest thrills in my life was my first time to attend the Rose Bowl in 1995, thanks to Rich Brooks and his perseverance and turning our program around.

It all starts and ends with the QB. A Blitz comes you see it throw a screen , or the QB scrambles, throws the ball away , what he doesn't do is fall down . The players see this it doesn't inspire confidence, it shows weakness. You take the hit , go chew out your offensive line be a leader . Haven't seen this yet from Gabriel.

Gabriel backed up into two sacks against Boise that were actually being blocked well.

What if this was a playoff game? Would the Oregon fans still be dissatisfied? As a BSU fan I’m disappointed we lost and our fans have been very critical of the play calling at the end of the game just like Oregon fans are about their play calling. I think Oregon fans need to realize that BSU expected to win this game. We didn’t come there to get blown out or for a moral victory. I don’t understand why Oregon fans aren’t more stoked to finally beat Boise. It’s Boise State! It’s not North Dakota or Idaho from the FCS. BSU has been the best of the rest since 2003. Be happy you guys won against a team that will likely be in the playoff

Asking a coach associated with the system during Oregon's worst years. It's probably the reason it took you guys so long to get to real winning was having Rich for a coach. Rich stayed too long. The only reason they liked him is. Probably, he was probably part of the Husky lynching crew of the 90s. Don James mentioned him doing that. There is no other good reason to like Rich as a coach otherwise.
