Big After 7 fan here. They had big success but still had untapped potential. I don't think the record label helped them very much. Virgin actually didn't have a good track record with R&B artists, at least from a longevity standpoint. And there was probably some ageism at play as well. I am a bit puzzled when you showed "Til You Do Me Right" hitting #5 on he R&B singles chart of 1995. Directly ahead of it was "Here We Go Again" by Portrait and "Rump Shaker" by Wreckx-N-Effect. Both of those singles were released and charted in 1992/1993, not 1995.
