Personally I love mine! You didn’t bend back the top leg (the one holding the phone) which is why it was straight up and down and didn’t balance as well. I agree though that the balance takes some work to find the balance spot. I enjoy it because I hate using tripods that snap around my phone.

I agree. I wasn't looking at this as just as a tripod stand. I'm using it more as a stand to display my phone. But I didn't see anything about wrapping it around poles or anything like that.
I'm sorry dude... this is not a good review of the product! you can use it to hang off all kinds of stuff if you're creative - the video had me a bit worried as I had one coming in the mail but its definitely useful if you have ideas in mind for it. If you just need a phone stand/tripod, this isn't for you. if you need a small/low profile, versatile phone holder/hanger and you have some ideas of stuff to wrap it onto, it might be for you!
Can it be common practice that if you’re going to use the line “ you can find something better for so and so amount of money.“ well how about you give us some of those better options ?

Just Purchased one yesterday (11/6/21) and I love it! What worked for me was bending it into the shape displayed on the box. I have the iPhone 12 Pro Max (in an Otter Box case) which usually tip these type of stands over because it’s so heavy. Not this one. Whether it’s straight up or in landscape this stand holds my phone with no problems. Well worth the $20 bucks for me! As a matter of fact I’m buying another one because I didn’t know they came in other colors besides black. I want a pink one!!😊
I bought that out of curiosity. I arrived from Amazon. It’s not bad but it could be better. It kept falling down probably because the weight of my phone, case, or both.
I bought it by mistake. I didn't realize it was only the mount. I thought it included the pop socket. Sucks. I don't think I paid $20 though. I can't remember the price. I'm still salty that I bought it. But I have it and I'll use it. Whatever.

I received mine in the mail and it works perfectly fine. You're not supposed to close your popsocket.

Try extending it and then placing it into the popsocket. Then try closing it.
