Would absolutely love a series on this! You have such a fun and thorough way of exploring games that I particularly enjoy, and this looks like it has so much to offer!
I love that you've covered this game, I don't know if I would ever hear of it otherwise. I'd recognize the free graphics pack the dev used anywhere, so if I found it on my own, it may have unfairly turned me off from a glance. This looks like a refreshing take for a genre that has been suffering from a lot of "sameness" lately imo. I'm excited to see if this game receives regular updates after release. I can definitely see the love the dev put into this game.
Good evening Mr. Retro, captain of the Reto Hypers, the GOATiest of the GOAT Esport teams of all time, have you played a game called Crown Trick, I've just started it on Switch, I'd assume it's on steam as well, couple years old, turn based adventure rougelite,I feel like it might be right up your alley.
The sound design here needs some work, as does the detonator effects. For being a class that uses explosives, there is an extreme lack of anything exploding... it's just a magic green effect. That's super unsatisfying. And I don't know why you would ever design a hot/cold system for things that are already visually marked by blinking/pulsating. Thing whole thing just feels like an alpha build without any polish.

If they made the sounds of the slots and what not slap a little harder for the extra dopamine surge it would really go a long way. Very neat game!

I was confused as to why Retro made a series on this game. Then I watched this video. I have fallen in love with the style of this game.
The hot cold is a great design feature. Also not hand holding pick the x is nice too.
