The only downside to catching you play this now is that there's no second episode or series yet to binge watch oml I love watching your videos and this game looks way to fun 🤣🤣
Thanks for giving Forward: Escape the Fold a good showing! You've got good gaming instincts thinking there was a way to make corrupted items useful when you first saw one. And you had a great second run too! Glad it seemed like you had fun with it. I know the developer is accepting feedback and I've told him the same thing you said that enemies having some variety would be good so maybe we'll see that in the future. It was neat to hear your tactical thinking when you were making decisions, so if get the game when it releases it'd be neat to see you play the other characters and challenges and such!
"You're being manipulated by rectangles." Yes! So many games are using card motifs to represent items, characters, in game choices etc. It doesn't make them deck builders or even card games. A lot of times (especially recently) it's just a design choice.
@@wyattbakken I think the thing that defines deck builder for me is customizing a pool of actions and receiving a random selection of those actions to use each turn. And in theory you should only be able to pull each action from the pool once otherwise it might get too random. Most deck builders also refresh the pool after all the actions are gone, but I don't see that as a required mechanic. I know there are some games that do limited refreshes or offer other mechanics to replenish the pool.
@@bobbusc to that we agree, however Pokemon is a grand majority of that besides the random luck of the draw that you would get when playing with an actual deck where as the game at which retro was playing was nothing of the sort in any way besides involving the cards .
19:31 Ahhh I knew it! The big rectangle conspiracy is real, people called me crazy , but it's real! xD Also, the Two Tiny Dice's site says that the dev has worked on small mobile games prior to this one, good eye reto
Thanks for always showing up with some real gems I'd otherwise miss! This looks really neat for a minimalist game with (after unlocking all those cards) huge variety!

Also not every game is like Dark Souls...
I mean like pokemon is closer to a deck builder than this is, right?? Maybe?? 🤔🤔
