One thing that drives me crazy about Il-2s is how the machine gun is on the inside of the canon. On like ever other aircraft, the largest weapon is first and they get smaller as they get further away from the fuselage. Hate it so much, kek
I find that the best use for the IL-2's big rockets is hunting open top SPAAs. Even if you're off by a few feet, overpressure will at least kill a few crew members. Given you only need to line up for a second, it makes it harder for the SPAA to shoot back.

The IL-2 (1942) is one of my favourite IL-2s. It can mess around with fighters and ground pound at the same time. Love this thing

skill issue i hit kills with every rocket i shoot some from over a kilometer away
