What i thought
The fan uses a thermo-switch. (at least in a 1.6). It's a simple ground that can by hotwired to any piece of metal to turn on with ignition. If you ground the thermoswitch wire and it turns on, you probably need a new switch.
with my built 1.6 i put a 30$ fan controller in as a back up for the track 100% recommend

I had an early Miata w/ the 1.6, 16psi on the stock motor. It was a blast. After years of fun the guy i sold it too put it into a tree. 😢😢
Wire the fan to turn on when the key turns on just clip and tie the wires on

Hey Evan how do you make nipples? Or in what video can I find them in because I'm building a intake for my project car and I'm replacing the valve cover breather hose with a breather filter but the hose is connected to my short ram that sticks out of the hood so I need to cover the hole with a nipple so it doesn't throw a code
