Remains of a Saxon chapel from the 13th century!!!!!!!!!!! That view from the top!!!!!!!!!! Sorry I can't comment on your makes because I'm too busy admiring your photos!!!!!!!! Have a great weekend!!
Yessss you are a pro at the binding now! They look so great! Love the gathered yoke on the green top! Really pretty! Such gorgeous pictures at the end. You know that’s my favourite coastline 😉
Well..... not quite a pro but I'm getting there 😂. When the boys came over yesterday I was examining the neck lines of their T shirts and I did notice companies taper the ends. I may try that rather than my blunt ends 😂. Glad you liked the photos and come on over next Summer! You can combine it with a trip to BTPD 😊💕 Have a great week x
Carole those tops are amazing, they look so good on you. Glad you found some bargains at the op shop, I very rarely seem to have any luck, but occasionally there is a bargain to be had. Lovely photos of the English countryside which I do miss, even though I’ve been in Australia for 40 plus years 😊. Have a lovely weekend with your grandsons. Take care Linda.
Hi Linda, thanks so much for your comment. I so rarely find anything sewing related in the charity shops, I get so excited when I do! I am glad you enjoyed the photos, England does look so pretty when the sun shines and you are on the coast! Hope you have a great weekend too 🧵😊
Good Morning Carole. Both those tops are super! I do especially love the rust colored one, I am in love with all the Autumnal colors and have been sewing a few things in them lately. Here in the U.S A. it's been very warm-in the upper 70's F. which is very warm here for this time of year, so it's a bit difficult to put away my Summer things. Have a wonderful weekend with your Grand kids!🥰
Thanks so much Theresa! did have sun here today but the temperatures are definitely down now hence I can feel Autumnal. Sounds like the whole of the US is taking its time to cool down from what others have told me! Hang on to those Summer things as long as you can. Hope you have a great weekend too 🧵😊
Carole, I have seen and thought about buying Butterick 6859, and have hesitated for a long time. Now that I see what a wonderful job you did in sewing it up I plan on finally purchasing it. The top looks great on you. I think you do a great job holding up the pattern and talking about it. Personally I like how you talk simply and informative about the pattern. Keep doing what you are doing. Unlike other you tubers, the clothes you make are well made, fit your style.
Thank you so much for your sweet comments, I really do appreciate your kindness about my channel and makes. I have made that Butterick pattern 5 times now I think. 2 in Double Brushed Poly, 1 in a Bamboo jersey, 1 in a fine linen knit and then this one. I am so pleased they all worked out and I hope you have success too. Thanks again 🧵😊
The new tops are great and I really like the one you are wearing as well. I can't imagine making jeans and don't have a lot of time to sew; they don't make the list. I love those Christmas fat quarters - although I live in a big city (Philadelphia) there are a lot of deer near us and although they're destructive they are pretty and graceful and look lovely in the winter in the woods (where they should stay 😄). You were lucky at the charity shop; like you, I rarely find anything worthwhile that is sewing-related - it's nice you did this time!
Hi Mary, how strange you have deer near you in a city? We live opposite a forest and yes we have them but actually not the cute ones I saw in Virginia. I know what you mean about jeans, it's fun to have a go when you have time but they never end up looking authentic, I guess we just can't get that look of denim we can buy. Life is too short I agree 🤣 Thanks so much for your comment and watching, have a good week 😊🧵
Oh wow, that is wonderful that you made yours from scraps. Now that is something I would love to achieve at some point. It must look awesome. I do however copy you in using my cotton jersey scraps as underwear but sometimes I have to laugh at myself when I end up wearing a matching T shirt 😂. Thanks for your comment 🧵😊
Hi Carole. Love the tops you've made and the embroidery detail too. It just gives it something special. I too am intending to finish off my t-shirt necklines following The French Seams tutorial. It does give garments a lovely finish. Sounds like your Janome overlocker has a blunt blade, but won't do any harm to get it serviced. No point in having machines at your holiday home that you can't actually use. I too have an overlocker and sewing machine at our holiday flat in SW Scotland. Looking forward to the collaboration results. Bye for now.
Hi Ann, thanks so much for your comment as always. You are right about the neck bindings and I am so glad I am taking the extra time to do it now. I have seen it for years but it is when Rachael holds up her garments I realise I could do better! I am actually annoyed about the overlocker as before I retired it to the loft I got it serviced and blade changed. I used the man I always used to then recently I heard that a lot of customers had complained as he was literally doing nothing to the machines and still charging for it. It seems that is obviously the case for mine so yes, I am now going to get it properly serviced. That is probably why I was so angry about it 😂. As you say, pointless having a machine in the holiday home that makes me cross! Hope you have a great weekend 🧵😊
Hi Carole, another great Friday Sews video. I always enjoy your content. I do not sew jeans even though I have purchased a couple patterns to do so. I have so little time to sew and since I have no trouble finding jeans that fit well, I have decided to take the pressure off myself to make them.
Oh thank you so much for such a lovely comment, I am glad you still enjoy my channel. Re making jeans.... I mean it is great to have a go but they never really look the same do they? I think it is the denim we buy, it is always too 'perfect'. I too don't have a problem finding them to fit but I do like to have a go a making them as well. This pair however, I have just finished and have been the death of me 😂😅. Never again!!! 🧵😊
I love the rust coloured fabric, perfect for Autumn ! Lovely pictures, so peaceful. I made a dress for my Granddaughter for a wedding this week, finished a sweater I was knitting and crocheted a wind spinner so I've had a lovely creative week as well ! I really like your cargo pants as well. Have a wonderful week !
Thanks so much for your comment! Wow, you really have covered all the crafts this week and how wonderful that must have been! I do love to crochet every now and again and now you have made me want to get the hooks back out. Have a great week too with lots more crafting 🧵😊
Hi, Carole! When I see how much everyone gets sewed each week, I’m just amazed! I started a top yesterday. It has a mesh overlay. I may be able to finish it today. I’m knitting a hoodie for my youngest grandson, a cardigan for me, a jumper for me, and occasionally I knit a row on my mitered square blanket. I love sewing and knitting. I’m going to have to designate days for each🤣 I love making garments and seeing a successful end or as some say, “A win!”
All that knitting!!! Wow, no wonder you have no time to sew. Knitting takes far longer I know, I only ever do baby things as I get so frustrated 😂. Those needles will certainly be busy. Thanks so much for your comment and good luck! 🧵😊
Carole, I love seeing the photos you share. I know what you mean about taking photos ahten no one sees them. I rarely take photos because my husband likes photography so I know he'll take plenty but then I don't see many, if any, of them so I'm trying to get better at taking some of my own. Your green top turned out great! I have a New Look pattern that's very similar that I want to test out with a remnant left over from another make. X
Thanks for watching Diane and your lovely comment about the photos. My husband and I are the other way around, if he sees me taking a photo he copies my angles 😂. I really would encourage you to take some though, mine are all just phone photos. Thanks for the comment re the green top, I also have that New Look pattern I think and made it in the Spring? It was for a woven if I remember rightly. Good luck 🧵😊
Thank you so much for your sweet comment. I know exactly what you mean about having 'virtual' sewing friends. When I met with Diann (Silver Threads Sewing), it was like we had known each other for years!! The same with others I have met in the past. Have a great week 🧵😊
Great tops, love the embroidery and look at your fancy binding. Awesome job. Cool charity shop finds. I never seem to be able to find good stuff in those stores. I'm looking forward to seeing your Oakley vest. I have one cut out that I need to sew up, but as it's been in the 90's until this week, it's difficult to sew clothing for cold weather. Have fun with your grandsons. Pancakes and tacos are a real favorite at my house too. Darcy (age 6 going on 30) and I made a Project Dress a Girl dress this week. As always she had a lot of opinions on the fabric, but I think it came out very cute. Have a great week and thanks for sharing.
Hi Carol, yes look at me with the fancy binding... I mean...who is this person?! I wonder how long I will keep it up 😂. That Oakley vest was a quick make don't get me wrong, the result is good as well so hope you get yours made up before long... however you don't need it just yet do you 😅. How wonderful you made a dress with your Granddaughter this week for PDAG, I am laughing as I bet it was a challenge choosing the fabrics with her! Hope you have a great week too and happy sewing 🧵😊
Carole, Beautiful sweaters. I love the style and fit. GREAT job on the embroidery!! Jersey is the hardest fabric for me to embroider. Adding stabilizer works. Adorable neck bindings too!! Excellent jeans hem! I've done the exact method and it's a wonderful sew. Cute undies!!! I LOVE your Christmas fabric. Go for the table runner. Wonderful free patterns. So sweet. You might just need a new blade on your Janome.
Hi Grace, thanks so much for all your sweet comments. Re the Overlocker...so after I bought the Babylock I got that one serviced and put it away so it would always be ready if I needed it. 2 years on I realise that the man I gave the machine to probably didn't do anything on that machine, he knew it needed a new blade etc. I have heard from my local sewing shop that he has had a lot of similar complaints so yes, in a nutshell you are probably right, it needs a new blade and sorting out!! When I can I am going to take it to a proper place for a service. Ah well, we live and learn don't we!! Hope the storm has blown over for you now xxx💗
Hi, Carole, I just love those new tops, they look so classy! You have turned yourself into an incredible seamstress, just look at what you’ve accomplished this year alone. My serger was doing the same thing so I changed the blade and it took care of the problem, maybe that will work for you. Your pictures are stunning again, they always are, I love seeing the views from your holiday home, and also the beach ones are great . I stopped in at Walmart yesterday, they had 100% cotton marked down to $2 per yard, I couldn’t resist, I’m not meant to be buying fabric, but I couldn’t resist. My husband was with me, he didn’t object, so I took it as consent😂. Have a great weekend 😊
Hi Sue, thanks so much as ever for your comment and kind words. I blush just reading them! The story behind my overlocker is... when I bought the Babylock I had that Janome serviced by a man I always used and blade changed etc then I put it away....This was the first time I had used it and it seems that I may have been mislead by the man and he probably did nothing after overhearing conversations in a sewing shop locally. So in other words, yes you are probably right and I am taking it to a proper shop as soon as I can. How funny you ended up buying some bargain fabric with the approval of your husband, you couldn't resist that opportunity could you?! Thanks again and I hope you have a great weekend too 🧵😊
Your tops are beautiful! I’ve spent part of my week making the sleeves of a purchased (I’ve had it at least two years) crocheted sweater larger! I’ve had some health issues, and that little bit of immobility planted lots of fat on my upper arms. I taught myself to crochet (it’s far from perfect), but I managed to accomplish what I set out to do. I’m starting a YT channel soon, and I’ll be doing the other sleeve in an upcoming video! I enjoy your videos!
Hello and thank you so much for watching and your comment. I do love to crochet as well as sewing so I love hearing from others that do. I have never made any clothing though, just toys and gloves! Well done you for making a jumper and then altering the sleeves, that is talent. Let me know your channel name when you start up. 🧵😊
I love your fabric wheel videos and I've been trying to figure out how I can incorporate one into my sewing. I don't do a lot of me-made sewing anymore. I mostly buy clothes from the thrift store and redo them to fit and/or suit me. I've just decided I'm going to do a Re-Makes Wheel and actually do them! Thank you!
Now a remakes wheel sounds amazing and something we should all be doing!! Please let me know how you get on with that. Thanks so much for watching and taking the time to comment 🧵😊
Oeh!! Your sewing room has been a buzzing!! I love the green top. The sleeves are stunning. And the other one is my favorite color. Always love spending time with you.i love the spring dress pattern
Hi Carole, some lovely makes. I really like the Butterick 6859 in green. The sleeves remind me of a top I made but it is a pattern for wovens, I think you may even have this pattern. As for holding up patterns, keep shaking them lol. Have a nice weekend 🙂
Hi Babbra, I think I know the woven pattern you mean and yes , I did make that one in the Spring. I was pleased it worked in that knit as I wasn't sure it would 😅. Thanks for putting up with my shaking... you can't please all of the people all the time can you 😉. Have a great week and thanks for watching 🧵😊
Love both your knit tops. Great autumn colours. That embroidery really elevates the top. I’ve made the Spring dress several times and I love it but always as a Summer dress. I’ll be interested to see what fabric you use for an autumn one. Lovely photos. 👍
Thanks so much for your kind comments. The Spring dress looks so good on my daughter so I can't wait to try it. I don't have any fabric yet as I don't often buy more that 1 1/2 metres so I will need to go shopping I think! Glad to hear you have had success with it as well. Have a great week 🧵😊
Love the two tops and the embroidery on the 2nd one is lovely! Thank you for sharing how you hem jeans. I have a pair that I’ve been thinking about shortening and this should work perfectly. Have fun with your grandsons this weekend and thank you for the pictures - they are gorgeous and making me want to go back to the UK! Xx 💞
Hi Izzy! Thanks so much for your kind comments as ever, you are so wonderful to me. Would you believe after I filmed the jeans clip, Katie messaged me to ask me to alter her jeans 😂, I really am a witch! So that is another pair to do, it really does work a treat. We had a good day with the boys today and even managed a game of Charades this evening 😅. Hope your last Island weekend is going well xxx💗(PS Yes, come back to the UK and I can show you the countryside and coast!)
I will have to stick up for you regarding the patterns. I think you hold the pattern fairly still and also make the pattern numbers available in the dialogue. I really like the green top. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you so much! I am glad you don't agree with the other viewer🥰 I do try to cover all the options but I guess you can't please everyone. Have a great weekend🧵😊
Love that jeans hemming trick. Is short girls have to do magic with our pant legs! Your shirts turned out great. I am so jealous of your 22:01 fall weather! I still have to run my a/c full blast.🙁 have fun with the boys!! ❤hugs!
When you are a shortie like me (or Dinky as my Mother in law called me when she met me for the first time 😂)yes, we need to learn to shorten trousers!! You would have loved it here today, it was chilly and sunny, your dream weather!! I keep saying, get yourself on a plane 😂✈️xxxxxHugs to you too xxxx
Hi Carole you always make that Butterick pattern look amazing! And the other top also looks so pretty on you! Love the added embroidery! You are inspiring me today, if only I hadn’t signed up to do a Christmas bazaar- my free time has been taken up with making things to sell mainly my grinches- which I think will be retiring this year😂😂😂I hope you have a blast with the grandkids and all those American meals! My “kids” love taco night! Happy sewing 🧵 xx ❤❤❤
Hey Mary, hope the storm didn't reach as far as you. How wonderful you are doing a Bazaar again as we can all see the things you make! It must take a long time to build up the stock but rewarding I bet. The kids are finally to bed (8:30pm) but they aren't quiet 😂. I have opened a box of chocolates after a hard day!! Have a great weekend and stay safe xxx💗
Can't wait to see the vest collar. And I love the green chewed t-shirt! That's the Butterick one, right? You need to come back to Florida, it's still 89º and 69% humidity!
Hi Jen! Thanks so much, I am really pleased with the Gilet, it suits our climate and my lifestyle! Sounds like you won't be needing anything like that yet in Florida, not until your January chill anyway! Stay safe and hope all is well 💗x💗😘
Thanks Carole. Always a lovely way to start the weekend. I’ve been trying to pluck up the courage to take up some jeans with a tapered leg but think I’ll have to cut the original hems off. Wish me luck! 😊 xx
Thanks for your comment Debbie. You make an excellent point about shortening tapered leg trousers, luckily I only had an inch to bring up. I have done hemming in the past copying the colour of thread as close as I could and running two lines of thread from above as I find even the topstitching thread isn't as thick as what the factories use! I do indeed wish you luck and let me know how you get on 🧵😊
I'm looking forward to the Oakley vest. please Carole, dont worry about people moaning in the comments about things like holding up the blumming patterns, we are grateful you bother to make all this content. X
Thank you so much, that is so sweet of you to stand up for me! You can't please everyone all the time but it did make me more conscious of how I hold up patterns 😂. Have a great weekend and week ahead 🧵😊
What a find, I have been looking for the spring dress pattern for ages in charity shops. I did find the sew liberated arenite pants pattern for 50p though.
Oh no Andrea, I count myself really lucky I got that dress then! I will keep my eyes out for another for you. I hadn't heard of those pants so I have just looked them up and they look great. What a bargain price of 50p, I paid £1.50 I think for mine! Thanks for watching as always 🧵😊
I have done the jeans hem hack. It’s such a nice finish. I love the neck binding. ❤ I’m going to start doing it. Thanks for sharing. 🧵🪡 Have a wonderful weekend!
It is so good isn't it? I have tried properly hemming jeans and trying to match the colour of the thread but it really doesn't look the same. Thanks so much for watching and hope your weekend is going well too 🧵😊
Fabulous makes Carole. You reminded me I need to make a batch of panties:D Thank you for such lovely words. It means so much to me. I can't wait for our collab videos to come out :)
Hi Carole! Those tops you made are perfect for fall. I’m trying to get some like that made up too. Btw… I hate skinny jeans too. I have about 3 of them I’m going to convert to wider legs. There’s a great video by Catherine to show you how. I’ll see if I can find the exact name of her channel. She up cycles a lot of apparel in very creative ways. I was so excited to see how those Jean hems were done like that. I-have a pair to hem right now. I also buy my jeans ready made. I’m too chicken to make my own.
Hi Lori, I think I found the video you were on about by Catherine, I think it is the Catherine Sews one? Lost my thread is another lady called Theresa? It does look a mammoth task so I wish you good luck with that! That isn't something I would attempt I am afraid. I had a tough week making my 'jeans' this week!! They didn't end up quite how I thought 😂. Thanks for your comment as always x🧵😊
Hi Carole, love the look of your soft green top, having the gathered sleeve tops gives it a special look. Thanks for sharing your photos - it looks a lovely place. ❤❤
Thank you Suzanne, I really wasn't sure what the gathers would look like but as I think it was a lighter weight knit, it worked. I really appreciate your kind comment, thanks and enjoy your weekend 🧵😊
Looks like you have had a very productive week. I love the embroidery on your top as it adds just that final touch! I am very slow at getting things done as my list keeps growing and I struggle to decide what to do first. lol. Great charity finds! I bought the Junior Classic Sweatshirt pattern by Made By Me Patterns and just made it up yesterday for my grandson who is 8 out of some beautifully soft french terry with his favourite, foxes on it. I am a tracer so the cutting out process takes longer for me but you never know when you may want to make a different size. Have a wonderful week, take care!
Thanks so much Brenda for your comment. How funny you have just made a sweatshirt for your Grandson and by the same company. I do trace for the little ones patterns as they seem to grow so quickly and it would be wasteful to keep buying patterns but I don't trace for myself, it is very rare I need to make a different size but for that one dress pattern I wish I had! Have a great weekend 🧵😊
Love both the tops they look very cosy i tidy my sewing space after every project as the space is small you did a good job on the jeans have a wonderful week 😊😊😊
Oh Robyn you are obviously a much more naturally tidy person than me, good on you! Like you say though, when I had a smaller space I was far more disciplined. Thanks for watching and have a great week too 🧵😊
Thanks!! M & S eat your heart out 😂. I really love making them and can get a pair done in 30 mins now. If you haven't made some already you need to try it!! Have a great weekend and look after that ankle xx🦶🏼💓
@@socarole66 I have made one pair of tilly and the buttons ones. I definitely need to make more as I love the ones I have. I need to get some of that stretchy lace trim xxx
Yes a great way to use up fabrics carol. I must also tell you that your 3 minute tidy up has changed my life except that mines a 5 minute mad dash. I’m obviously untidy than you are 😂😂
I will admit I had to add another 30secs the other day as couldn't quite make it in time 😂. It really does help me though and I am glad it works for you too. Thanks for watching🧵😊
I love both the shirts and have that pattern. I've been afraid to work it up bc of the sleeve detail. Thanks for your advice. BTW, are you planning on doing the leggings. I would be excited to see how that works out. Thank you again Carole for sharing your time and your makes. God bless and happy sewing!
Thanks so much for your comment. Every time I get that Butterick top pattern out I wish I made the leggings up to try it as people say it is really good. If I get time in the next week or two I will!! Watch this space. Have a good weekend and happy sewing to you too 🧵😊
This year was my daughter’s 50th and granddaughters 18th and made a photo board for both of them which was such fun to do. The only problem was that I had no physical photos for my granddaughter after she was 8 they were all on my phone! Son to the rescue…. He printed them all off for me. But I thought it was rather sad that we will no longer have photos to pass on .
Thanks so much for your comment and you are right. We recently put together some photos for my Dad's 90th and although we could find old ones, we had to search through so many on our phone to find recent ones. I vow every year to print some off and never get around to it 🙄. Maybe 2025!! 🧵😊
OK girl, did you really think you could show us those wonderful undies without a tutorial? I have tried several times with no luck, please show us how to make and what kind d of fabric and lace, along with where to buy!! Thanks for all your shares.❤❤
Ha ha if I'm honest I'm just too shy to do a tutorial and show my knickers in full detail on my channel 😂. I have now put the link in the description box for Beyond the Pink Doors tutorial. Honestly she is brilliant, you don't need me!! Good luck 🧵😊
Thanks so much for your comment. I've never used either of those or heard of them. I have to look into that! I'm still such a beginner so I'm just saying the things I've tried and worked for me. Everyone seems to say different don't they 🤣
I'm so sorry. I really struggle with the Minerva Website and finding things but I have found it now and added the link in the description box, right at the bottom I can NEVER search successfully on their website for some reason. Not sure if everyone has the same issue or it's me 😂. Thanks for watching 🧵😊
Hi Carole, I noticed in your Description that you mentioned a Simplicity pattern but you showed a Newlook pattern at 1:11. I’m trying to find a pull-up pants pattern for my mom, would you please share the Newlook pattern number? Thank you! 😊
Hi there, thanks so much for your comment. I didn't really elaborate on my trousers as they were a mash up of three patterns I did earlier in the year. They have a zip fly so I don't think they are what you are looking for. If you want a pair of elasticated waist trousers then I have used in the past NL 6351, 6217 and Simplicty 8841 all with good success. Hope that helps? 🧵😊
As usual Carole, you've made 2 lovely tops. How lucky were you to find that nina Lee dress pattern? I've put my machine away as we are off to Portugal tomorrow. I'll be in full autumn sewing mode when I get back though. Enjoy your boys and have a great week.
Thanks Annette! By the time you read this you will be happily sitting in Portugal having watched a wonderful sunset (hopefully!). How fabulous to escape all the rain over here. Enjoy your time away and yes, it will be full on Autumn when you return. 🧵😊
Thanks so much for your comment. I did before I 'retired' my serger have it serviced and a new blade was meant to have been installed. I don't think it has been so you are probably right. As soon as I can I am going to get it properly looked at instead of who I used before. 🧵😊
Remains of a Saxon chapel from the 13th century!!!!!!!!!!! That view from the top!!!!!!!!!! Sorry I can't comment on your makes because I'm too busy admiring your photos!!!!!!!! Have a great weekend!!
Ha ha, thank you so much for such a wonderful comment and I am so glad you appreciate my photos!! Don't worry about the sewing 😅. Have a great week 🧵😊
Thank you Carole great tip and love your tops. Hope you get some dry autumn weather to enjoy 🌞
Thanks Anne. I love my new tops and can't wait to refresh more of my Autumn wardrobe. Still waiting for the dry weather 😂. Have a good week 🧵😊
Hope you have a great weekend too 🧵😊
Both tops are so pretty! I always enjoy your photos! !! 🥰❤️
Thanks so much Nancy, I am so pleased the green one worked out. Hope you are having a great weekend 🧵😊xx
I have never seen the jeans hemming trick. Your tops are beautiful. Thank you for sharing.
l
Thanks so much for your comment Linda and I am glad I have managed to introduce you to the jeans trick, it really is great and quick to do. 🧵😊
I have just made an Oakley Vest. I made mine in patchwork, using up my quilting cotton scraps. I'm currently making knickers from my jersey scraps
Hi Carole, your tops look beautiful and you did a great job with the jeans! Is nice to have a refresher on that.❤
Thank you so much Zelda, I do love the jeans hack and is so much quicker to do!! 🧵😊
I’m going to have to designate days for each🤣
I love making garments and seeing a successful end or as some say, “A win!”
All that knitting!!! Wow, no wonder you have no time to sew. Knitting takes far longer I know, I only ever do baby things as I get so frustrated 😂. Those needles will certainly be busy. Thanks so much for your comment and good luck! 🧵😊
Hi Carole. I love watching your channel for the sewing, photos and stories about your grandchildren and rest of your family 😊
Thank you so much for such a kind and wonderful comment. I am so glad you still enjoy my channel.
I so enjoy your videos! It’s funny how I feel like we are seeing friends even though we’ve never met! Keep up the great work!
Thank you so much for your sweet comment. I know exactly what you mean about having 'virtual' sewing friends. When I met with Diann (Silver Threads Sewing), it was like we had known each other for years!! The same with others I have met in the past. Have a great week 🧵😊
I love your rust top and the embroidery is beautiful!
Thanks so much Nancy, have a great week! 🧵😊
Hi Carole! Just getting caught up on videos here. Have a great week-end!
Thanks Deb, you really are working through the videos😂 💗x
Thank you so much Katinka. I thought you would like the rust coloured top, it is Autumn in a nutshell isn't it! Hope you are having a great weekend 🧵😊
@socarole66 thank you, I am
@@socarole66 oh how I wish I could zip across the pond and enjoy you and your beautiful weather!!!! Im jealous!!!❤️❤️
You reminded me I need to make a batch of panties:D
Thank you for such lovely words. It means so much to me.
I can't wait for our collab videos to come out :)
Thanks so much Agata, I love having new knickers!!
I am so excited for our collab too 👏🏼🧵😊
Catherine’s channel is called Lost my thread
Hi Lori, I think I found the video you were on about by Catherine, I think it is the Catherine Sews one? Lost my thread is another lady called Theresa? It does look a mammoth task so I wish you good luck with that! That isn't something I would attempt I am afraid. I had a tough week making my 'jeans' this week!! They didn't end up quite how I thought 😂. Thanks for your comment as always x🧵😊
@@socarole66 yes, you are right! I’m sorry I gave you the wrong name of the channel. Duh!
Thanks for watching and have a great week too 🧵😊
Ooo fab knickers and charity shop finds! 🤩😍 Kxxx
@@socarole66 thank you sweet. I hope you are having a beautiful weekend xxx
I would use mesh cutaway or mesh water soluble, double layer on knits, funny how we r all taught differently
Thanks so much for your comment. I've never used either of those or heard of them. I have to look into that! I'm still such a beginner so I'm just saying the things I've tried and worked for me. Everyone seems to say different don't they 🤣
For knits of any kind the mesh does not pucker the fabric, I hope it works for you…embroidery is complicated, lol
Did I miss the link to the fabric for the rust top? Beautiful makes as usual, Carole!
I'm so sorry. I really struggle with the Minerva Website and finding things but I have found it now and added the link in the description box, right at the bottom I can NEVER search successfully on their website for some reason. Not sure if everyone has the same issue or it's me 😂. Thanks for watching 🧵😊
@@socarole66 Thank you for the link! I didn't mean to make you struggle.
Hi Carol I think your older serger needs a new cutting b!ade.
Thanks so much for your comment. I did before I 'retired' my serger have it serviced and a new blade was meant to have been installed. I don't think it has been so you are probably right. As soon as I can I am going to get it properly looked at instead of who I used before. 🧵😊
