I love how original this hero/villain dynamic is. It’s basically a famous business man that runs the city and makes super cool products, and a hero that fights the villain but still fangirls over every product he makes. I’ve never seen anything like it before and gotta give credit where credit is due 👍
I find it a unique twist to the Hero VS Villain Idea. Sure its the typical cliche most people sometimes enjoy in superhero focused media. But even heroes and villains are still mortal people. Figurative monsters bent on their own way of life and control of the populace. Like lex's idea to kill superman because of the intent to rid him from metropolis, seeing the people rely on him than other people who have jobs to work and live, and by taking him out of society, means humanity will continue to rely on each other. A descent hidden allegory for a sometimes commom issue in present day, where technology is being used to more than just make life more convenient but also take away the jobs of people, basically stripping down the idea of hard work slightly to conform to the convenience of machines instead of simple physical work.

The more I watch this show, the more I get why they chose Ben Schwartz to voice Sonic in the movies. Sonic and Randy are extremely similar characters, both cocky teenagers with cool powers they use both for good and for moderate self-benefit and show-off, fighting against big old men with tons of machinery by their side that they use to benefit themselves, no matter what or who gets the short end of the stick for it, and also magic. Also both of them use swords. Well.. at least Sonic had used a sword.

I have a bit of a theory as to why McFist hates the Ninja: Given it's said that McFist was in Norsiville High at the same time as Mac Antfee(Ergo when Mac was the Ninja) it's a possibility that at some point due to Mac's recklessness, McFist ended up losing his arm. And yes, I'm aware that in McOne Armed and Dangerous, it's implied he lost his arm because he touched the conveyor belt, but my theory is possible.
McFist isn't actually all evil, he's a businessman that probably did some underground stuff to make his corporation what it is today but still a normal person. It's his obsession with the ninja that really turned him into a villain, honestly I don't even know if he is a villain. Most of his plans aren't that elaborate or complex, it's just destroy the ninja with a bot. I forgot why he's mad at the ninja but I remember it being about his robot arm. He seems like a doofensmirtz, just misguided.
If I remember correctly, Mcfist started hunting Ninja mainly because he has a contract with a Sorcerer , but over time it became more personal. But it's been years since I last did a rewatch, so if I'm wrong, please correct me 😅
