The episode where Randy tries to help Dicky is probably my favourite episode. It shows how much he has matured ever since he became the Ninja. I kind of wished he had that maturity throughout the series after that episode, not just a few episodes.
@@billykaplan9915 Yeah because the mayoritie was like perfect people who was corrupted by the power but Randy is a person of good heart that makes mistakes is selfish sometimes but he become better
@@theincrediblespiderdude5454 being selfish is few things that makes us human. But only so much can actually put aside their selfishness. And Randy happen to be one of them.
Something I noticed and liked was the fact that in just one moment where Howard mentioned the 80s kid was named Dicky, Randy actually used Dicky's name right after. He still pays attention to Howard and still holds him responsible for losing Dicky. Haven't seen the show but man, Randy is really mature!
It was for humoruse reason. Chuckle at a guy who chosses something trivial over important matters. Not every scene is meant to be taken seriously, all the time.
Howard isn’t that bad of a friend compared to other friendships depicted in media that are meant to be portrayed as healthy or good when in fact they're god awful and toxic. Both he and Randy share their moments of being awful or selfish in the show. Randy at one point was the cause for most of his problems in the show as he became an instigator. It’s simply Howard’s legit what a 14 year old freshman whose best friend has recently obtained superpowers would act like. Howard nor Randy truly understand how big of responsibility being the ninja is and what it means to be a protector of the world. Howard’s helped Randy out of situations plenty of times, and while being selfish, he's always the one that will side by Randy in the end. Heck, Randy almost died and he's the only one that went to save him (knowing the possibility he could die too) in a cave full of people who "love" the ninja. Also, Randy is an position that he's maturing quicker than his peers and best friend which makes other characters flaw stand more out compared to his own. Like Howard, Randy was obsessed with attention, fame, and validation from their peers in the beginning, as well as selfish. He's simply learned a lot from being the ninja.
Yeah, he is a bad character. Some shows really suffer from this type of character. The fat, selfish, mean friend. Patrick from Spongebob in his bad episodes and the Redhead from Robot boy come to my mind. Also Jake the Dog but he has good and bad(recklessy selfish) moments more balanced and it's always made clear that his bad moments are considered bad. Maybe they want to go for a Cartman character but I don't know why, there is a reason Cartman is the villain in many episodes. The only good "Howard-episode" is the Tengu one, also the only one where I have memories of him.

Randy is honestly the best ninja in my opinion, kind, honest, dedicated, loyal, and humble. We've only seen 4 ninjas in the show (first ninja, Mac Antfee, Kronk, and Randy) and out of all of them Randy is the best(although we didn't get to see a lot of Kronk ninja but he was good from what we saw), I hope we get to see more past ninjas if a season 3 comes, I'd honestly love to see some bad ninjas come back from the past and team up with Antfee (he'd get his memory back somehow) to take the mask from Randy, followed by good ninjas coming back and sending them back to the past and wiping Antfees memory again. Ngl the episode where Randy fixed the stupidity that the last ninja did like freezing someone transformed for who knows how long and getting him reunited with his love is one of the most wholesome episodes
I've read some comments about how some people doesn't prefer Randy saying their actions or moves out loud and adding a word Ninja to it. I don't understand why but him saying those things out loud never caused a problem(or at least I may have not seen an episode focusing on that, like his enemies hearing it and knowing what to do to avoid that attack after him announcing it). Shit started a year a before hit freshman year
He also (almost) never directly gets in trouble for his mistakes beyond a light scolding from the book and instead he learns by seeing OTHERS suffer because of his actions
“Ain’t no shame in losing to the class of in your face”
When I find a situation and I perfectly deliver this line, I’ll be one happy man
when i rewatched the first episode i just noticed how neat randy's handwriting is neat but cute at the same time, like in his essay he adds little doodles and sometimes he changes the fonts of his handwriting, and the way he writes in cursive is actually pretty clean
I love how he names / announces all his moves too like : "Ninja-hose borrow" "Ninja-delfect"
8:59 This line just made me realized that we never even saw who Randy’s parents are and what they look like
He’s only ever mentioned his mom if I can recall. So I think she’s a single parent.
The episode where Randy tries to help Dicky is probably my favourite episode. It shows how much he has matured ever since he became the Ninja. I kind of wished he had that maturity throughout the series after that episode, not just a few episodes.
This man actually managed to get this show popular again
Women, but thank you 😊
He was chosen because he is pure of heart 🥰💘
To be fair the chooser made mistakes like his ninja before Randy who was a selfish prick
@@billykaplan9915 Well According to the Nomicon Randy learns abput his mistake and he being better every time
@@theincrediblespiderdude5454 like I said the guy choosing the ninjas did better choosing Randy
Id highly recommend it! Though fair warning s2 is not as good as s1
He understands the relationship between power and responsibility
The guy had like 30 years of his life stolen from him...couldn't even let him age gracefully as a consolation, eh writers?
"Ain't no shame in losing to the class of in your face!"
I honestly don’t know why he’s still friends with Howard, he’s such a terrible friend
Howard isn't THAT bad
Not the best person but still a decent friend
It's hard to believe this is the same guy who made invader zim, this is way more kid friendly
He just designed this he didn't write it
The only time his work( art style) was terrifying was when Randy killed principle Paul
Randy really does shine when he finally gets the lesson the nomicon teaches him
dicky didn't age gracefully at all with his metabolism, but i like how the show's stance on that was "sometimes life is just like that, lol"
4:37
Dude seriously did all that with one hand cause he's holding something precious in the other.
🥰
I missed this show so bad 😭 The humor was pure gold

This was miraculous before it even existed. I love this show so much.
When we all miss randy, but happy to see and hear the voice actor of randy voice sonic movie now
Randy is just very wholesome. He's one of the best heroes ever! What a shame this show ended in a cliffhanger thing

I always found it fun that Mac Afee chose Samurai Armor when fighting Randy.
Since, Samurai vs Ninja is popular for very strange historical reasonings when Farmers got tired of being bossed around.
Nice fact
What we never talk about is how good this show really is
I love the fact, that despite not watching this show since I was like 13, youtube randomly decided to recommend me this video. Ahh the childhood memories :)
I think it's funny how this show pretty much predicted Nedd from the MCU Spiderman movies.
I know Nedd existed before but he was different in Ultimate Spiderman
And he was also different in the comics, so yeah, the show pretty much predicted the future.
😂 no it didn't. Ned and howard aren't the same at all
Before they were famous:
Now he’s the voice of sonic
I can't believe I forgot Randy was a cartoon character crush of mine when I was a kid lol
3:24 The most unfair cure to being from the past and turning into a Stank Monster.
The first one was so beautiful.
Dicky Seriously needs some therapy now.
Watching these made me realize how this show was basically an early miraculous ladybug
And a better one at that
Same with Danny Phantom and Jake Long lol
But better
I miss this series
We need it back.
It's on Disney + if u wanna watch it
@@Local-crow-on-the-internet thank you
@@Bananarama8930 your welcome
Watching this really reminds me how bad of a friend Howard was. Randy really deserved better tbh.
I absolutely love how Randy reunited Dicky and Tawny, it was so sweet. 😊
This was my childhood and I'll never regret letting this be part of it 😭✨
Randy is honestly the best ninja in my opinion, kind, honest, dedicated, loyal, and humble. I think it'd be so cool!
Just realized that this show is like miraculous lady bug but without the romance and cheap baiting tactics
ACTUALLY THOUGH
Ngl I actually prefer RC9GN than Miraculous ladybug
@@janjacobtumbaga82 Same. Miraculous has funny moments, but this show much more well put together
6:30 this looks so cringe and cool at the same time
8:37 True ninja must always relied on their exit.
5:17 really sounds like a perfectly cut scream
As someone named Randy, back when I watched this show this made my 8 year olds self entire week better
That's hardcore how that dude lost decades of his life frozen in that cooler.
I can’t believe I forgot this show!! This show was awesome!
What was the show name again
8:30 Also this trick reminds me the propably coolest ability, Distraction or in visual representation imagine if your succesful in stabbing your foe but the "foe" turns into log while the real one takes you off Guard.
6:47. Someone should call the cops on this guy. He’s beating up a kid.
I like how he does literally no ninjutsu at all.
“His name’s Dicky and he hates his parents… I assume, because they named him Dicky.”
I love how randy has a ninja sense that doesnt warn him of danger but it points out possible tips to defeat a enemy
I love Randy cause he such a well written character- yeah hes flawed but he actually acknowledges it and tries to do better
thank god this was on my recommended.
Happy to people remembering this show exists, ive sat in the dark corner all alone watching this years after it came out, finally not alone in likin it :)

Proud to say that Randy was my very first fictional crush
1:28
Says the guy constantly wanting to go to the "Gamer Hole"
when i watched this show as a kid i was convinved it was good, but coming back and binging it years later, it soooooo much better than i initially thought it was, WE NEED MORREEE
Love the way he just talk to himself like that
What I like about Randy is that he's like spiderman a jokester, not too dumb, and still serious in his work.
Used to love this show as a kid, glad it's getting a fandom revival
"ya hungry?, howd u like a bite of a cool long leg"
DAMN really like how he said that LMAO
I guess Randy is my fav protagonist cause he is clever and adapt to the situation when he can't use suit.
Especially how he outsmarted experienced ninja from 85s Mac Anfee.
Or weared suit and used laser against robot.
Or break the ice to defeat robot that was trying to kill him.
God damn Randy and Theresa are so cute together I never really noticed that way back when I watched the show.
Too bad they people shipped him with the book, still mad about it. Like who doesn’t like a cute and reliable gothic girl like theresa. Can someone tell me i wasn’t imagining a episode of her standing up for randy.
it's weird how relevant this became recently
Not to me I've been working my ass off
Probably because the voice behind Randy voices Sonic now. But I could be wrong
3:25 to be fair, the ship could not continue otherwise but they still did him dirty
At least she's still happy w/ him as he is
Did it age him up mentally as well ooor

I really do think it’s cool the va for our ninja boy played Leo in Rise of the tmnt
He defeated the robot without the mask by choosing where the battle took place.
I genuinely think that it's really really cool for him to say those things when I was a kid(even so now) and that I would somewhat find myself adding Ninja to every action I make too.
I love that even without the mask, hes still a great ninja.
"There's no shame in losing to the class of *In Yo Face!"*
Before Ben Schwartz voicing Sonic I felt he is perfect voicing Sonic 😎

I always watch this in the morning it's so good and I love how the villain who cursed people by their negative emotions(if I remember correctly) in his secret place with his companion rat😭😭
This show deserved so much more
When I was little I loved randy so much when he was in his ninja form 😍

YES! He's such a good kid, and sure, he messes up sometimes, and he's kind of a dork, but he's still good person.
