@@user-ff2mu4fh4v oh i agree i think what we have in america is pretty fair. its around 10% for the lowest bracket and 30-40 for the highest bracket which imo is pretty fair.

Been recently looking into the situation in UK, I'm in ireland so it pays to keep an eye on things, and I have to say, as insanely expensive as ireland is, England is in such a predicament, I can't believe how hard it is to live a good life there, best of luck with the move my guy 👌

I don't know UK taxes, but even in the US as a self employed high earner you are looking at 55% unless you live in a no-income tax state. Add in property tax and it can crack 60% real fast.

the USA taxes your income, your spending, and your sales. 45% tax is low for us, and we get nothing in return besides shitty infrastructure.

Hello Kevin, I am an IT entrepreneur in Germany and I can absolutely understand you. I think it would be interesting for many to see what such a step could look like. We hear more and more about the idea of leaving the country. But few dare to actually take the step because of the uncertainty.
That's because there aren't very many safe and or free places left even here in the United States.
When everything fails, be prepared to fight for what you believe in.

Im glad im not the only one thinking about a change. Im in Canada and its getting harder by the day, high taxes for regular folks, business owners have a bit more wiggle room but the issue is everything is taxed on top of your income. Best of luck Kevin. Looks like a wonderful place!

I'm 45 and can retire full pension at 60. I'll probably go back to the interior, that's where I grew up. I can't imagine starting fresh in the lower mainland now, with new job and finding a place to live if you don't have connections. If I was young I would work up north or something, away from the big cities.

We’ve lived on the IOM for the past 6 years. I can honestly say it’s an amazing place to live and it’s great for the kids. There’s amazing beaches and glens all around the island.

Yep I'm in Sydney and Labor wall to wall worrying about everything except policies that are for the average man. Now increasing immigration massively while services and schools etc are stretched to the limit not to mention no housing, it's a bloody disgrace..
