The part that really stuck out to me about the BMO distant lands episode was when BMO mentiond to y5 that heroes run towards danger or screaming (dont quite remember the quote right) It gave me the impression that BMO somewhat did have an impact on shaping who finn & jake would become
He definetly had an impact on them, and I'm pretty sure he also takes care of them the most. He's not as childish as them, but he's the reason they are.
I really like to look at BMO through the lens of what they were created for by Mo. He has a really intense sense of imagination and built in games makes him a perfect companion for a child. I like how in the episode when Marceline starts to ask BMO about his memories they are like the memories of a very young child. The writers did such an incredible job with this character. They voice acting really brings him to life.
BMO becoming the King of OOO feels so correct to me as a long time fan. Only BMO would be able to just assume the title of king and everyone be okay with it 😭💖
There was an episode where BMO talks to air again. I forget which one it was, but it was kinda sad because he apologizes for not having spoken in a while. Air didn't respond, but BMO gained some resolve from the event.
The episode was “The More You Moe, The Moe You Know”. I just watched that episode the other day! BMO talks to the air about the meaning of growing up and whether or not it changes you as a person as he sets off on a mission given to him by “Moe”. :)
Some people may say I am way too old for cartoons, but Adventure Time is a treasure, and so are your videos reviews. Thanks for the attention to detail.
If you're taking suggestions, I would love to see a video on the Prizeball Guardian, or maybe just a bigger video on the whole future era itself. But the Guardian honestly was the most fascinating part of that for me. Was this Bubblegum's protective nature taken to an insane extreme, making her citizens immortal but preventing them from actually living their lives? Is this new, quieter era somehow inhospitable to the Candy People, perhaps because of a waning in Magic, and this is how she's devised to let them sleep until a more hospitable time? And do either of those work with what we discovered in the specials?
Yeah I would love to do a more in-depth video about that. Also breaking down the new intro sequence. I think a lot of good stuff is in that, that I didn't cover in the original video. It will definitely come in the future!
Okay so first off BMO talks to Football twice in his episode in Distant Lands but the more I rewatched Distant Lands the more I noticed something. A) a voidcaster can be seen in the market towards the end and B) Martin who is obviously Mr. M is shot out into space. BMO leaves saying mission accomplished when on reality that place lost its most valuable resources and the races don't exactly get along. What if this episode is showing us why Martin was in the cosmic prison...because that civilization probably collapsed due to his actions and when it does, which is off screen because that would be depressing, he's taken by the guardians? Just my theory.
Hmmm... that could be. I would have loved to find out why Martin got put in the citadel. Because, compared to everyone else, he had to have done something horrible. So maybe it was that, that he was blamed for all those deaths if that civilization did collapse
The Drift is actually shown briefly in the new “Fionna and Cake” series! Some of the pods are deactivated/dark and the Hugomats no longer work but the place is still active and there seem to be plenty of people living there. I also don’t think that would’ve been bad enough to warrant Martin being sent to the Citadel. Prismo said you need to commit a “cosmic crime” to be sent there.
I'm sorry for nitpicking, but Bmo was the one who did the woops in the beginning because he says the feeling of deleting files was funny or something along those lines.
I assume pb gave bmo her crown and crowned him king of ooo because all the candy people are now in the prizeball guardian, so she didn’t need to rule them anymore. Aside from just knowing each other, she might’ve chosen bmo in particular since it seems the land of ooo has become less magical, and bmo can live forever without any magic.
After the Bubble episode, theres another ep that starts out w BMO coming outside, singing. I cant remember the words exactly but it went along the lines of "Last night, an electric presence came into the room and said BMO you'll be the perfect incarnation for a human baby." Do you think there was any truth to that or was it just BMOs vivid imagination? I will add, the fact that it happens after BMOs marriage to Air is interesting lol it seems like BMO has a slight obsession w babies lol Someone also once mentioned that BMO has a dark side, seen in the way BMO treats Neptr and other robots. For all that, BMO is still a lovable and enjoyable character but BMO needs to stop dissing my boy Neptr lol
Yeah BMO is such an interesting character. I think it was probably just BMO's imagination, but he's also programmed to give love to people. Yeah Neptr gets so much hate for literally no reason
@@paxw37 I think you're right too- it was probably just BMOs imagination. It always struck me as odd though. Btw, I finally got around to Distant Lands this week and that ep for BMO was pretty tight. The revelation that it was a precursor episode was pretty awesome. I always wondered how they had met. You know, it's weird tho- I was just watching the last ep this morning. At the end of BMO telling the story, Shermy asks about what happens to "Phil & Jake", but Beth also asks, directly, " And Bubblegum?" As a "Princess", I think Beth had an ulterior motive for asking. I am so curious about Ooo's future, I swear. Like, I was noticing at the beginning of the ep, as Shermy is beatboxing, a blue butterfly passes by. I wanted to add again, I think the reason Shermy isnt Finn is bc Finn is on a new path of reincarnation. The events of "Together Again" makes me think that. You see Life pair soulmates together- I think they were in that process, being threshed into new forms by Life, by the end of the episode. I'd like to see their 1K reincarnated forms, should a new show ever come up for Ooos 1K future.
I absolutely love to listen to these videos while I clean or work around the house, thank you for these great serious of adventure time videos! ❤😊 very entertaining!
TLDR: Bmo is baby and i love them Bmo Lost is one of my top episodes because it really feels like we're seeing it from the perspective of two kids in a serious situation (being lost), but getting through it with play. Bmo, the more outgoing, imaginative, yet brash one, and Bubble, the calmer, more introspective one who's still along for the ride. Even things like Bubbles marriage proposal make more sense from this lens because kids do stuff like that all the time. He even says something like "i dont even know what marriage means". Or them arguing over what Sparkles name should be and Bmo completely ignoring Bubble, thats such a kid thing to do! 😂 i really wish they would have brought air back at least once, not just Bmo trying to talk to him.. I think a lot of Bmo episodes become clearer if you look at it from the lens that they are essentially a forever child. Sorry for the long comment lol.
