Howdy form Texas! As always, thank you for taking the time to provide your expert feedback. Love to see the comparison on the Stihl. Take care and be safe. 👍
I’m in the business too but I’m not active. My main 9-5 job took on more responsibilities and being a single parent I struggled with free time and also rest time too. I was thinking that I could do the my normal hours and then 1-3 lawns a night and some weekends. But I’m trying to get back into the mindset and get some extra cash on the weekends and I have gone with Stihl products.
There apparently is also a model called the 525ilxt new/next model straight shaft ( not multitool ) it goes up to 46 cm cut width up from 42cm from the 325ilk model. Has some kind of ergo feed head, push button activation, feeds the line out. This will be very interesting to see it in action. So has the extra 4 cm cut width, has it got a bigger motor ? Also Not sure if coming to AU. If so may see some on your channel later in the year, for a full test out.
Thanks mate. Yes we use the blade edger as well. We have dedicated tools for hedging and sawing so only really use the combi as a line trimmer and edger. 👍🏻
Great review. I am looking fir a string trimmer and am considering Husqvarna and Makita. Possibly Dewalt or Milwaukee as well. I had the EGO ST1623T with the Line IQ but I returned it. While using that trimmer as an edger along my sidewalk, it suddenly let out more string and damaged the edge. From now on I want control over line feeds. Which battery would you say gives the best weight distribution / balance for the 325iLK?
Any idea when the 525irk model will ne released in Australia. Its listed on the US website but not the Australian one. On a related note, how did you find out about the 525irk or product releases from Husqy? I only looked it up after watching your video
The new Husqvarna 525iLK looks cool, will be interesting to see how different it is to the 325ilk. It's crazy expensive though... Funny you say about things being "commercial" because as you know I've just got into the Makita xgt stuff and I think the build quality is top notch 👍🏻
It’s about the same price as the Stihl FSA135r isn’t it? I agree with you about the Makita gear. Will be interesting to see how it stands the test of time and commercial use.
@@lovelawns yes similar price here in the UK. yeah definitely.. I mean the Ego stuff I was using was classed as "semi professional" whatever that means.. but so far I think this Makita stuff is better build quality. The XGT hedge trimmer is awesome aswell, especially the 5000 strokes per minute blade speed, leaves a lovely finish on those finer hedges. They do a rough cut version as well which I would like to try. To be honest I'd be happy with just some battery and charger reliability after the numerous troubles I've had with Ego...
It’s pretty new to me (just two weeks) but it’s very well balanced and has a lot of power. I am even getting along with the T35X trimmer head, which I thought I’d want to replace.
Hey, cant seem to find the shindaiwa speed feed 375 genuine heads in the UK, looks like they dont make it anymore? There is the 400… would this fit the tool?
Mate I’ve got the 325ilk and love it. How have you installed the speedfeed head without a spacer? I have to have a spacer in mine or else it doesn’t clamp up properly…and by having the spacer the line is too low now for the guard…? Any tips??
Great vid the only problem with the husqvarna 325ilk is that in Australia you can’t get one . I’ve had one on back order for over 6 months and was just told a couple day ago it will be another 2 . Have always bought husqvarna power equipment but looks like I have to go over to stihl for battery power equipment
Hi ki can get my Hands on a 525ilx the balance and the weight felt great I need it to be lightweight as I have had wrist surgery. But I was worried that it wouldn’t have enough power for my kikuyu lawn what do you think ?
About to move my ego on (it just didnt work for me). Between the Husqvarna 525ilk and the Stihl 135 r. Ive watched your other video on the 5 comparison and i know you prefer the husqvarna. Just wondering if you were still intending to a comparison video between them? Is there anything the stihl does better?
Hi mate, thanks for watching. Yes I will do a comparison as soon as I get my hands on the 525ilk. It’s only just been released here in Australia so should have one coming in the next few weeks.
The other thing is that no load delay trigger feature doesn't work well with heavier edger blades. You need to have thinner blade for it to start to spin every time. I've tested this many times and it's very difficult to get it to spin with a blade that's not light enough. This is something that's very frustrating and should be something that can be toggled on and off
Hey mate, thanks for watching. Yes I’ve noticed that with the blade edger attached too. Sometimes it takes a few goes to get it spinning. Can be a bit frustrating. I wonder if the newer 525 will improve on that. Will test it soon and compare. Still waiting to get the 525… cheers
@@lovelawns ok yea that's good you noticed it too. Yea can't wait for next one that you can review. I do love this whipper snipper, plenty of power and the ergonomics are great. As always speed feed head is the best and I quickly swapped out the original one for your one

Howdy 🤠 thanks mate. That comparison is coming soon. Cheers 👍🏻
That's what I wanted to hear. I also have a Husqvarna Gas Mower that refuses to die.

Good choice 👍🏻 thanks for watching.

Yeah it is coming to Australia and yes you will see it soon on my channel 😉 it looks very good
Same size, I think. The 525 Ilxt has Ergofeed, I love this function on my 535 IRXT. And 3 speeds.
Next year there will come a 540 or 545 IRXT👌🏼
Totally agree with your review. Have you any other attachments for your 325iLK?
Thanks mate. Yes we use the blade edger as well. We have dedicated tools for hedging and sawing so only really use the combi as a line trimmer and edger. 👍🏻

From you previous messages I’d recommend the Milwaukee combi or the Husqy 325 with the bli300. Cheers.
Thanks for the review. Do you reckon it'll be powerful enough cut through bush/brambles/wild roses, that kind of thing? Cheers
Thanks for watching. Yes I reckon. I’d probably put the blade trimmer in for that though rather than use line. Cheers

Should be out for the start of our season mate, which is normally around August. I’m a man in the know lol 😂

Hi, Have you tried any rotary scissors with this machine.
Yes they work great 👍🏻
Really liking my new 525iLST trimmer.
What do you like about it? 👍🏻

Nice. I look forward to getting one too.

Hi mate, yeah they replaced them recently with the 400, which is a better head and better size and fits perfectly 👍🏻
Thanks dude, got mine ordered for after christmas with a 525ib blower and 520ihe3 pole trimmer :))
@blobnar great choices. Happy Xmas 🎄
Mate I’ve got the 325ilk and love it.
How have you installed the speedfeed head without a spacer? I have to have a spacer in mine or else it doesn’t clamp up properly…and by having the spacer the line is too low now for the guard…? Any tips??
Yeah mate, you have to get the genuine speed feed otherwise its as you describe. The genuine Shindaiwa 375 heads work best on the 325. Cheers
"...Shindaiwa 375 heads work best on the 325." ?? Should I get the 375 or the 450?
I see some other videos that say the spacer is needed with the Husqvarna and it appears to be included in the package.
@@davidingemanson7749 375 is a good size for the 325 👍🏻
@@davidingemanson7749 yes the spacer is included but if you get the genuine speedfeed you won’t need the spacer and it’s better without it.
Looks forward to the Stihl comparison!
Its live
Legend, thanks for the review. have you used it with the metal 3 head blade for 'brushcutting' ? Score out of 10?
Cheers mate. I haven’t used the blade attachment as I don’t do the sort of clearing work that would need it anymore. I’m a lawn snob these days lol. 😂

That’s sucks mate! It’s a problem with many things at the moment not just Husqvarna tools and it’s a real pain in the arse! Hope you get one soon.

With the Darwin's Grip 3 its even better. Better back, shoulders and arms balance
