Here is another great hiking gear review, for the best lightweight sleeping pad, the Nemo Tensor: ruclips.net/video/EKvyNCMO5zs/видео.html

Just FYI, the compression straps on the side pockets can be adjusted so they sit either on the inside or the outside of the mesh side pockets.

Yes, I forgot to mention that. I'm not sure why one pocket has straps on the inside and the other has straps on the outside... But it works well to carry an extra bottle of water!

Nice lightweight pack. I'd need to get a camera cube so wonder if the pack weight plus camera cube would be much different than the camera backpack I use.

I do need something to hold my mobile phone to have it handy, although only in summer. If I have a jacket on, I can put it my pocket.

I Use the tenba BYOB 10l cube with the tempest 24 and it’s a great carry.

What’s the item attached to the shoulder strap?

When you bought the rain cover specifically for this Tempest 20, did you choose XS or S? I can see that both sizes cover 20L, just wondering what yours is as it fits well. Really great review

I chose the small cover, it fits well and could be used for a slightly bigger pack

Thank you for an independent review! I'm plan to you this pack on a bike and also to carry my 14" laptop with daily city walks. I know it's women designed, but I can't resist its orange color ;) May I ask you what laptop do you use with your pack? Does it fit in water compartment or main one? How pack resist to dirt and water?

A 13in laptop fits in the main compartment. The mesh is pretty resistant but if you want to be watertight, you should buy the rain cover as well. I hope this helps!

Finally I got one for myself for xmas. It have good back weight support system and restful orange color I love alot. I will test helmet clips and overall bike usage later this summer - how does it fit in ride, back sweat, dirt and waterproof, external loads.
This backpack easily fit my 14" laptop, but does not have any protection, so you may hit notebook parts when lay backpack unsuccessfully down - be sure to put some laptop protection cover before carry on (it may be just a piece of textile).
I use mine as everyday backpack (city/short walks/bike) with should-no-care mode withing several month, and happy with it look and usability.
