great vid. i played d2 at a northeast college about 20 years ago. took 6 years off golf and finally getting back into it (3 kids) this year. did my first fitting in almost 18 years and bought my first brand new set in about 10. OMG it was a huge difference but i was coming from a massive deficit. i certainly wouldnt get fit annually. but i realized how poorly my "gamer" set really was. 30+ yards on driver, 20+ yards on 3wood. irons way more consistent now as well. Wedges dialed in. now things just feel right. wouldnt hesitate to go back to club champion for a full fitting. However, i drove the fitting with regards to what i wanted and what i was there for. i was 100% upfront with club champion and told them i would not be buying any clubs from them at all since i can get almost all clubs and shafts at retail cost. they were totally cool with it.
I got fit at club champion for a putter, turns out the guy had been a caddie until recently and played golf some in college. They used SAM putt lab which is old technology, also they didn’t have a lot of putters on hand. The one he thought would fit me best was a six to eight week wait time as they had to order it and it was higher than other places I could get it. The prices to get fit are higher than other fitters around and I found out later this guy left and went back to caddying. I will never go back to Club Champion, I have since been fitted at another independent fitter and that went very well
@@joecook8352 sorry that you had an issue. I have found them great to work with and have done a large number of fittings. Unfortunately a lot of the experience depends on the fitter and it sounds like you got a less then ideal one.
I went through a Club Champion fitting recently; I got the clubs I wanted.....BUT they kept pushing these shafts, which I did hit very well. that cost more than the clubs(LA Golf). I balked at the thought of spending more on shafts than clubs. Even with the grips I wanted. I left EXTREMELY disgusted that I wasted 3 hours of time I'll never get back.....they would have cost almost $5000....
Hi... I am getting fit at Club Champion in Albuquerque August 2nd. I was fit back in 2012 or 2013 not by Club Champion. Looking forward to getting it done this time around. What's the lead time generally for receiving the clubs after the fitting? Thanks for your work on this video!!
i crush in scrambles :) ive only played maybe 5 real rounds of golf in the past 4 years. but kids are getting older and i finally have time to actually play and enjoy my rounds. 2024 will be my first full year back. i can still stripe the ball in my old age. definitely a major benefit since i started when i was 7. i bet my hdcp is a 10-12 but thats solely due to how little i play. i can easily get back down to a 2 hdcp from 7k yards. im realizing how much i missed this game...
@@modrngolf absolutely! just saw the puttertalk bag too! i used to be on there all the time! miss those days. i had a boat load of rare bettis and a few circle ts!

I always tell my fitters my budget- but I totally understand your feelings. No one wants to feel like they are being ripped off.

Thanks. Usually 1-3 weeks. (Manufacturers varies)
Thanks for the comment. How are you playing these days?

Does club champion offer financing?
Yes. Usually 12 or 24 months. Makes it way easier.
Fitting was great experience, but the clubs were very overpriced.
Unfortunately clubs are all super expensive these days. It’s crazy.
Yeah, for real. They want 3500 for Mizuno 923 hot metal irons with kbs tour lite pured shafts. 3500 for 10 clubs seems a bit high
Particularly going with non stock shafts costs, but in my experience they are better. Just depends if you value it and can budget it.
If you purchase the clubs with them or spend a minimum amount, do they waive their fitting fee?
@@henrypolanco8915 yes
extremely overpriced. never again
Would love to hear your experience with them.
What happened?
Iron fittings are $50.
