Incredibly helpful. I got my chr excel two days ago. Didn’t know it had parking assist until I asked the dealer what that button was for. He dismissed it saying he was ‘old school’ and had never used it. I imagined it was only for parallel parking but now I’m so excited to learn it also does bay parking which I’m hopeless at. Thank you so much.

It’s not, it’s fast and easy and more accurate than most drivers’ parking skills tend to be. Learn to use it.

This is excellent... lots of people hating calling this feature useless. these are guys with older , often dilapidated model cars or overhyped overpriced European or american cars that don't have this feature.. congrats Toyota.. another tiny feature that makes my life a little bit better

It just comes with the car. We plan to learn how to use it and then we can decide at the time Wether to park manually or with the 'auto' feature.

I only discovered this feature after 3 years of owning the car... and it fails 60% of the time... It's cool as a party trick, but i really can't trust it enough to use it often

It relies also on the markings on the parking bay, if those are too faint, that could happen, that is why u control the brakes and not the car. If u feel it's going too far, u can break and maybe even cancel the assist. This is such an awesome addition

Tried the perpendicular parking on my drive and it ploughed me forward into an hedge. It's all too much hassle and takes too long. The parallel parking is certainly not something you could try along a busy street.
