The 924 was one of the best handeling cars in the world. I once got into something called Ice Rain, that only occurs in northern Germany and Danmark. On that day, 5000 cars in our area didn't make it home! Apparently I was the only one to manage that. 10 kilometres of steep hills and sharp bends, in surface conditions, where even my ploar husky dog lost his footing!!! 924, 944S2, 968, the greatest cars ever built!!! I drive them since 30 years. There is no substitute!
Very nice film! This is the way I drive every day when it's wet or snowy with my 924 in Holland. It's so balanced that you can drift around the roundabout :-) But give it a little more throttle man, you can keep that car sliding in a 30dgree angle for 50m if you keep the ref's up! But considering the cliff's and walls you drive next to, I'm guessing you already have nerves of steel ;-) I have the 924 burnout movie you might like it. Keep up the good driving!
That little laugh of yours at 0:30? There’s not a viewing driver out here in RUclips-land, that doesn’t feel what you were feeling at that point and so readily conveyed. More importantly, as an owner of a 1990 S2Cabriolet, I love seeing these water-cooled, front-engine Porsches getting their long overdue “love”!

I think that the classic three-spoke steering wheel is the most appropriate for 70's and 80's cars. In Europe was good even the wood - steering wheel, but preferably on British and Italian cars .. Mine is the legendary MOMO Prototipo, I find that's good on all cars of that period.

Unfortunately, without a limited slip differential, if i give more gas at this very low speed, the inner wheel loses more grip and I lose more speed ... Uh, no idea.. when I bought the car, had already provided with sports steering wheel and adapter ... I just replaced the 'old' steering wheel with the Momo.. However, I think its a pretty standard adapter, try searching in Internet or ask a steering wheels supplier.. Good Luck! :o)

Leggevo nei commenti che non ha il servosterzo..nessuna lo montava ? Perchè in qualche annuncio l'ho letto ma erano tutte versioni turbo..
Ciao! Sì, la mia è una 924 2.0 125hp e la uso tutti i giorni dal 2008. No, il servosterzo sulle 924 non c'è. È tremendamente pesante in manovra, ma in strada è una meraviglia, trasmettendoti quello che c'è tra te e la strada senza filtri, con un impostazione di guida particolare tipo 'vecchia scuola' (volante moloto basso) ed una ripartizioe dei pesi eccellente. È una buona 'storica', è affidabile, è molto resistente alla corrosione ed i consumi sono relativamente contenuti. Chiaro cmq che si tratta di un'auto che ha più di 30 anni, quindi in previsione di un acquisto consiglio di non speculare, dunque probabilmente spendendo un po'di più ed acquistando una macchina in ordine, si spera di scongiurare spiacevoli ed onerose sorprese dopo. Per i ricambi si trova tanto, ma non tutto. I lamierati sono irreperibili. Per il resto ad esempio, 'Rosepassion' in Francia è un'ottimo fornitore ed i prezzi abbordabili. Per la 'Turbo' invece i prezzi aumentano decisamente.

A spanne, rifare una frizione o freni, su che cifre parliamo ? Molto bella comunque la tua, rossa e beige secondo me sono i colori migliori per quel modello, e penso sia la trentenne sportiva con il miglior prezzo/prestazioni/divertimento. Una milf, insomma :D
Fra cesco Hahaha! La mia ragazza la maledice ogni volta che le tocca portarla a casa. Per una ragazza ancor più che per i maschi, ti assicuro che lo sterzo è veramente roba da camionisti utzbechi. E pensare che la chiamavano Hausfrauen Porsche, la Porsche delle casalinghe.. ;o) ma manovra ti uccide, ti uccide lentamente. Invece freni e frizioni sono coerenti ai canoni di quell'era, quindi godibili senza sforzi dopo un attimo di assuefazione. Rifare i freni alla '924 base' non è dispendioso, però sostituire un'eventuale frizione comporta più che altro un gran lavoro. Occorre liberare e spostare il cambio posteriore, togliere il tubo con il cardano per poi poter accedere alla frizione che si trova attaccata al motore. Io non l'ho mai (ancora) sostituita e perfortuna per ora non da segni di cedimento. Insomma, sono buone macchine in tutti i componenti, delle Milf affidabili che per farsi portare però preferiscono autentici machi. ;o)
@sanzo1991 Acuto osservatore! :-) ...questo è un volante che cercavo da un po'..e l'anno scorso finalmente l'ho trovato. Essendo "vecchio stile", IMHO si intona meglio all'età del veicolo, e poi è più "sicuro" ..nel senso che la 924, non avendo il servo è pesante da guidare; con volanti più piccoli del normale, sull'asciutto diventa granitica e pericolosa da gestire nella guida sportiva..
i have to learn this too... i had an accident with my 924 2weeks ago on a rainy day because the backside of the car was slipping away and i dont know how to drift and control the car, so i did a 360 and hit 2 times a wall while turning around :( :( :(

Bought a 1980 924 a while back for $800. Needed a starter and clutch. Love the car they are a lot of fun!
