      Glen, thanks for your comments. This tour of neighborhoods was created a year ago to give the public an idea of what Mesquite neighborhoods look like. Some of our new residents are from other parts of the country and are attracted to the desert climate and gorgeous terrain here. The real estate market is quite active and the price range of homes and possibly HOA fees have increased since then. It's best to contact me for more detailed information on a neighborhood you find appealing. Glen, let me know what you're specifically looking for and I can give you current information. I invite you to visit and tour homes that fit your criteria. Contact me anytime at 702-357-0291 and normasachar@gmail.com ❤

    Not a bad place to live, but if you are on Medicare you will have to go to Las Vegas to see specialist.

    • @mesquitelifestyle
      @mesquitelifestyle  2 года назад +2

      Sam Odio, that's an important thing to point out. If needing a specialist, some people go to St. George Ut, which is closer. Like any other small city, it doesn't have everything a big city has so it's important when looking to re-locate to have a checklist of services you want.

      BettyJoWilley, your comment is appreciated. Home values are purposely left out due to fluctuations in the market. If you watch the video again, take notice.... there are no "For Sale" signs on any of the properties. The video was made to show the 55+ neighborhoods. If any of these neighborhoods look appealing, and you want to a closer look at homes, I suggest talking with a realtor who can find the ideal property in the price range you are looking for. If you don't have a realtor, I can refer an agent to you. Let me know if I can be of further help. Hope you get to visit Mesquite soon. Its a great place to live!

      @@mesquitelifestyle thank you Norma. I enjoyed your video. I just have to convince my wife to move to a smaller city. She’s a health care worker (RN) and will probably continue to work for a few years after we move. I mean after I retire. She’s 8 years younger and wants to work even part time. She’s just worried about having access to good healthcare. I told her Vegas is only an hour away and St. George 35 mins.

      Hi MC, I didn't receive an email or call from you asking about sales prices in neighborhoods. Prices weren't added to the tour of 55+ neighborhoods because if you noticed there weren't any "for sale" yard signs. At the time when the video was taken, homes were selling within hours and sales prices were escalating. With an active market like that, I asked you to contact me for prices and answer questions you might have about the neighborhoods. If you're still interested in buying a home in Mesquite, I invite you to contact me.

    The merit behind it (over 55 which means no screaming kids around) is nice but I'd prefer to live in an original part of town. These places have the big city flavor and all houses look alike and I've yet to hear of an HOA that isn't like the Gestapo who trample on people's property rights. I've been a sleepy small town person who prefers no big box or chain stores since I fled the mess of Phoenix, AZ 32 years ago.

    • @mesquitelifestyle

      True, there are pros and cons to living in an HOA community. People usually decide if they want to live in an HOA community before purchasing. Muffs, your personal opinion prompts me to make a video about the Pros & Cons of HOA communities. Thanks for the idea.

      @@mesquitelifestyle Oh you're welcome! I'm all for keeping a clean neighborhood devoid of trash and eyesores but my house is my castle and I don't want to be told what I can and can't have or do since I'm good at policing myself. I have a classic car and truck both look like new and I've not having anyone tell me that I can't have them on my OWN property or that I can't use old fashioned outdoor Christmas lights from the 1970s or not being able to visit someone without fear of having my car towed away. There are just some people that enjoy being controlling and making other people's lives miserable.
