When bubba slices a driver it’s the best shot ever, but when I slice a driver I’m “reckless” and “a danger to the golfers on the hole next to us”
Stevethe11th as a lefty golfer. I felt this comment in my soul
lmaooo. u gotta realize tho, there such thing as a purposeful slice when you know how far it’s going to slice. bubba knew what he was doing, not so sure you do lol
@@Evan-vr7vt Thanks for explaining the joke.
Stevethe11th you’re welcome
I don’t even golf and this comment had me cracking up. Thank you for that!!!
The only time I slice it that much is when I want to hit it straight
I know right!! I have gotten better with it though ever since I started lessons
need to agree with you yeah when I want to hit it straight I slice of that much too ridiculous shot by him
This made my day
ruclips.net/video/JiR3u-4dRhE/видео.html
vachief A slice for him. He's a lefty.
To me this is one of the best golf shots of all time.
Without question one of the best shots ever. You try to intentionally carve a slice like that. Never happen
I think tigers recent bunker is 100x better
Like Tiger with that slice on his fairway bunker shot earlier in 2019. It spun sideways to the pin, just like he wanted it too.
Must be a big Bubba fan. To me hes nothing to write home about
@@happypants9226 - he missed the putt though, dude.
He should have putted with the driver too :D
lmfao
That would of bin Legend.
wait for it.
DARY !!
Everything great should be called doing a bubba!
@Todd M *HAVE (not "of") been
Oh yeah man, you almost have to at that point
40-50 yards of slice... psh you should see my tee shot.
ROFLMAO!
Yeah I can do that without even trying. There's Bubba trying to make this shot. So who really is the better golfer? Me or Bubba? LMAO
That would have been awesome! Could you imagine the ridiculous headline in Golf digest? "Driver, Driver, Driver......Eagle on the 18th"
If anyone wants any lessons on how to slice a ball every single shot hit me up.
Aim straight
A Robble, I quit golf eons ago because it took too much time (like a full weekend day just to play 18 was the last straw). I corrected a wicked slice - I believe I got some tips in a book written by Ben Hogan - by concentrating on keeping my upper right arm tucked in, getting rid of the outside-in swing which guarantees a slice.
rla1000 obviously my statement was a joke...I am in a wheelchair so can’t play anymore. I can use my legs but are limited....I rather like the idea of the swing less club.
A Bobble It exists, Rick Shiels made a vid on it
I found how to not slice I shot straighter than ever
how does one eagle a 663 yard hole?? that is just.._godlike_..
Jeff S Ye but its 663 dogleg yards ... straight line would be much shorter
Yelistr He didn't go straight at the green. He had to hit a massive slice to fit the shape of the hole. Stop trying to play down how impressive this is.
I am not trying to play it down. I just said that it wasnt so long as hole lenght. The ball maybe flew that far, but distance from Bubba to pin was much shorter. I would say maybe minus 60 yards. I dont deny, that was really incredible shot.
+Yelistr bubba's tee shot was 348, followed by a driver off the deck at 305 (with a MASSIVE controlled, intentional slice)..that is fucking awesome golf skill.
+Jeff S During the French Open preceding pro am in Saint Cloud, France, in 1984, I played with Jose Maria Olazabal who pulled out his driver on the second hole - not with the same result, though. I was embarrassed because he was keeping on asking me about which club to use and I did not have the faintest idea of what his yardage was e.g. on a short par 3, I played a 6 whilst he played an 8...
He didn't only hit an incredible shot, he also made the putt. That's why he's such a great golfer.
and a 2 time masters champion
he has two of the best shots I've ever seen - this is one and the one from the trees at the masters in the playoff - unreal
This is beyond talented. To commit to a shot like this in competition then to perform all of the execution needed to hit this correctly to get the results desired is phenomenal to say the least.
the guy talking 0:54-0:58 makes me want to clear my throat
xZeroDoomx s
I coughed when he spoke.
Came here just to look for this comment😂👍🏼
@@zuggiescars6120 and found it!
JSDHJSDKJD lmfao
that's some tigerwoods xbox shit
And it happened for real! ;)
you cant even do that on tiger woods unless you purposely miss to the left.
There are no rules for Bubba. If he can imagine it in his crazy head he believes he can do it. The man has no fear of the golf ball.
Yeah. Remember the great shot he hit at The Masters? That wickedly hooked wedge out of the right pine-needles? That was just WOW! ;)
That is the best description of Bubba I have seen. Got to admit that Bubba maybe a little bit of a head case but can he ever play golf. He can draw the ball he can slice the ball amazingly creative
Gitfiddle 7766 It’s why the golf world needs him (I was going to say characters like him but I don’t think there are any others!! 😜). It’s probably also why he won’t win as many majors as his sheer talent should bring... just a modicum more “sense” and caution and he’d win more... but he wouldn’t be Bubba and we wouldn’t love him as much. 🤷🏼♂️
It is amazing what you can do with a golf ball... if you just believe. I do not think I ever made a shot I did not think I could hit.
Gitfiddle 7766 Him and Phil Mickelson.
I can never get enough of this vid and I've probably watched it like 50 times.
thats cuz you have no life
You should probably look for a job
The coolest part is, Bubba's smile, because he actually PLANNED that shot, just like it happened. Ultimate control of the ball.
carve with a driver?? i do that every time
hahahaha this made my day cause its so relate-able
Stephen Boddie That was hilarious
Stephen Boddie
yeah but not off the turf on a downhill lie, We would rake the sod over it ..lol
thats just incredible! no way in the world i could do that
yeah but mine usually end up breaking a houses window
This is certainly in anyone's playlist of greatest shots of all time in golf.
That's why we love Bubba...and his emotions.
2 Years, and I still can't get over that shot :P
Max Wang 8 years later and it’s still impressive
Esteban Knorr 9 years later and it’s still impressive
9 years and 6 days later. Can you believe it
@@jumbo6498 13 years later and it's still impressive
What a great talent! Love watching Bubba hit shots like these!
That is sensational, I'm so glad he's now won a Major, his shot behind the trees was also a beauty to win it
how could anyone not like that "golf shot"? By shaping the shot the way he did the ball rolled towards the hole. Brilliant! ..and he sunk the putt. Amazing player
He's a breath of fresh air an American Seve perhaps. Great imagination and feel for the game.
I love the "Bubba grin" as he is walking up the fairway after that incredible second shot.
One of the best holes ever played.
that was the best slice I have ever seen in my life !
Still watching this in 2019 😎 not seen a better shot since 🤷🏻♂️
What about tigers shot out of a bunker curving it up and around a tree while managing to put enough spin on it so when it hit the green it disnt take a single hop forwards, but instead shot towards the hole and stopped like 6ft away from the hole
That's one of the most amazing shots I've ever seen
I have watched this a dozen times and am awed by this display of golf prowess.
That’s incredible. First it’s a 663 yard par 5! Then to go driver off the fairway and get on in two is insane. Balls! Bubba got balls!
cant stop watching this video
I always fade and slice with Driver. But this is too good.
Could watch that about 18 times..... this week 🤣🔥🔥🔥
I remember getting to see Bubba waaaaay back when he first was on the tour. My grandpa and I went to the Buick Invitational at Torrey Pines. I got to see on of his drives. So cool.
Incredible Golf Bubba Watson
This is has to be the greatest eagle in golf. Unbelievable...
I remember watching that on tv, amazing shot
Never gets old! 🔥🔥🔥👍🏼👍🏼
663 yards, on in 2. Drop the eagle putt. Love it
Only Bubba...can carve it like that!
+John Tatum another good one, check out the same tourney in 2000 where Ernie lost to Tiger in a playoff. Same exact hole, pretty fun shots to watch. I think they both eagled to go to a playoff
Yeah, they both eagled that hole to a playoff, and then they both birdied this hole for the 1st playoff hole. Another interesting thing is Tiger once drove 498 yards on this hole.
Ehhhh idk tiger did it out of a bunker and curved it around a tree at the same time while still managing to put enough spin on it that when it hit the green it automatically shot back down towards hole
Thanks for posting that video that was a incredible shot 👍
I’ll never forget this one 🙌🏼
I saw a replay of him trying driver off the deck on this hole again this year during 2016 TOC. It went straight in the hazard....
insane skill
Nice to watch truly elite golfers.
That was history in the making. Simply amazing.
Faldo: A carve with the driver...40-50 yards of slice
Me: Hold my head cover
this was the first golf shot i have ever seen on tv and in that moment i realized i wanted to play golf so badly haha
2 years later are you still playing ?
After three rounds he wanted to quit so badly.
Most never have a specific shot stand out. Bubba has two of the top 5 best shots ever by a PGA golfer, in the long history of golf. I'm talking about shots that will be remembered and talked about for the next 100 years probably.....this one and the wedge out of the woods recovery shot onthe 10th at Augusta that had to have been at least a 40 -- 50 yard banana to strike an eagle
This. Was the funniest thing I've read all day.
Bubba is an artist with golf club becoming the brush
wow he's amazing
Fans in the gallery were each thinking "he's aiming right at me."!!!!!😮
I've played that hole and it was brutal for me. Bravo!
I'm reluctant to try that shot on my son's X-Box.
I love everyone's comments, they crack me up. I love golf but it can be so frustrating at times, then to see these amazing players makes these crazy shots. Then to read these comments, its just to funny. Makes me lol
Best part of this is that he made the putt. Love following a great shot or chip with a stone cold perfect putt.
that's amazing shot!
Amazing
Judging the amount of roll required for that shot is in itself a freaking miracle.
It's 2019 and I still can't get over that shot
Amazing shot
*Cheers: 'Nice Eagle!'*
As opposed to the pathetic, lousy type of eagle.
played this course the Monday after the Sony open some 7 years ago still with the Sunday set up. Played with a fine fella named Ted Wilson from Edmonton Alberta, who gave up a potential pro career in golf to raise his family instead. Ted hit the green in 2 only to miss his eagle put.
What 3 good golf shots man!
I was in high school in 2011, working at a Target in Scottsdale AZ. Watson came through my lane with some groceries - dude is nice as can be. What a golfer!
2nd best shot I've seen in the last four years or so. Oosthuizen on #2 for 2 at the Masters is the only topper I can think of.
I just looked that up. Holy ridiculous! Wow!
Dan Goldsmith ..Phil Mickelson at Augusta from behind a tree in the pine straw.
Jason Kimber yes that was actually a good shot. . Albatrosses are cool, this shot was cool. Takes skill and everything but phils was tough. Recovery shots are a lot tougher than a ball falling in a cup when the whole green is sloping it that way
Justin Thomas on 18 at Erin Hills for eagle round 3. TV doesn't do it justice how amazing his 2nd shot was.
J Simo did he know how bad he hit it and start bitching like every other shot he hits that gets a lucky bounce and then when hes done he says how amazing it was and how good he is or did he actually hit the ball well for one shot?
When I start the ball off line and slice it further my friends laugh, but Bubba get applauded 😭
Daniel Foley then your friends don't know greatness when they see it. LOL
my favorite to watch. pure!
jesus, i saw him in hartford it was awsome!!!
Bubba hits the greatest shots ever recorded on the PGA Tour
this is awesome
B Watson got SKILLS A++ skills.
My daughter was in Kindergarten with his son.
Saw him at orientation. He was quiet and didn’t talk to anyone. So, I just gave him a nod and a smile.
His wife is very nice and friendly. I would run into her at Target all the time.
They have donated a ton of money to the Hospital there in Pensacola.
Never gets old seeing that.
I quit.
is the sentence that prevents you from being the future Bubba Watson.
@@spamaccount4513 well....
That.....
And his golf swing.
@@Bigbird4000gt probably true :D
I guess you're quitting cos that shot's impossible for you?
In that case, quit every time you see one of the top 100 golfers hit their driver 320yds straight down the middle. Cos that's impossible for you, too.
You never started
Oh, in that case, I go driver-driver every time I go out. I've even had a few driver-driver-drivers...I'm a special case.
So good of the deck
Great when things go as you planned them, once in a while.
He's not a gangsta rapper, but his caddy's got a 9!
Yessir kb!!!
Hayden Bullock You sir. Are you my new best friend.
I beg to differ tiger woods accomplished that feet no more than a hour ago
James Pettinelli well good for tiger woohhh my god
ruclips.net/video/thbsyl4x-qc/видео.html
followed Love III on this course.... what a great day!
bubba is the man
Let's see. Driver, opens club face, hits a sweeping slice....305 yards. LOL.
When you hit a shot like that, it's no longer a slice. That is what I like to call a "power fade" lol
Matt Foyil Oh! Thank you...apparently, I hit a lot of "power fades". Of course I hit them 150 yards, usually off the fairway. I know, I know...you are going to call those a slice. But I'm going with 'power fade'...it has such a nicer ring to it.
charlize841 I too hit the power fade pretty regularly.
I played there. I’m pretty sure I could have hit my 3 wood 300 yards on that hole. Mainly because it is massively downhill, very fast fairways and I’m a righty so I hit a draw there, which obviously is the easier shot for that hole.
Being a lefty helped big time there ...being righty and trying to draw that shot in with a driver would have been very tough ...just sayin...
Good thing you added “just saying” else we wouldn’t have known you were saying anything.
@@keithcrownover... Lol.!..thx
What a creative play! It's an another Bubba Style, I think!
Yesterday (9/30/2020) Azinger and other announcers for the US Open were talking about DeChambeau like he was golf’s first ever power golfer. But we’ve had grip it and rip it guys for years (John Daly, Bubba Watson & many more). DeChambeau’s power surely helped him win the Open, but his short game and putting were probably more important. His putting was insanely good. That’s the same for anyone that wins on the tour and that will never change. You can hit 375 yard drives, but if you can’t putt stay home.
Someone tell me how the hell he didn't top the shit out of that ball.
Practice
That's not the danger. Chunking it to get lift is
first to get there today.. wtf, someone els got there on the other days? :D
This is as exciting as it gets in golf. What a riot.
That and his hook wedge to win the masters are the 2 best shots ever in pro golf. Imo.
Nobody:
Absolutely nobody:
That one American in the crowd: WAhOoOoOoO
Jack Danson someone had to say it, damnit! Lol
Meanwhile brooks koepka went driver 9 iron to putt for eagle
very creative and challenging shot ... cool .... go bubba ~
For all you beginners, notice, Bubba didn't keep his head down after impact, his feet weren't square to the target, and Bubba DIDN'T swing slow. Don't let other beginners tell you how to play golf.
Sounds like hyena's at 00:50
Neel Iyer o
Not one professional golf lesson either 😳
One word UNBELIEVABLE 👍👍
i remember when he did this, and thought, why isnt everyone doing that? best hole played ever in my opinion. just perfection.
Yes, he meant too. And he DID pull it off. The thing is it's an insanely low % shot. All pro's can intentionally slice but to predict the degree of curve to distance is relying on luck way more than is comfortable. Kind of like off centered cue shots in pool. The deflection angle is insanely difficult to get consistently accurate.
This guy is incredible so first he’s a white professional golfer and then he turns into a black nascar driver. Should’ve stuck with golf.
"That's a golf shot" one of the dumbest sayings in golf.
I watch this video constantly...
*Wow: Great Eagle!*
