- Another day spearfishing in Southern California with an insane catch by my homie Tim! Literally 3 times bigger than my fishes. It was a good day where we caught a big california sheephead, zebra perches, and halfmoons.

Hey thanks for watching! Technically no, we actually didn't know at the time and right after my friend speared that sheephead, the lifeguards told us we had to dive on the other side haha

can't believe you got something so huge by that breakwall, I never get anything substantial there. nice catch regardless, my biggest sheephead was only 4 lbs. if you have the chance, please check out my vids, ex-socal diver here, but recently visited for lobster and caught a bunch!
I thought sheephead was not recommended for sashimi
Probably not if you eat it often, but there’s always a risk to eating raw fish haha
My friend said it was really good though and I’ve heard of others eating Sheephead for sashimi too
@@CatchFishNotFeelingsYT might try it out sometime. Couple sushi chiefs I've asked gave mixed answers. Some yah, others nah.
Look like you are diving inside the harbor. You can only dive on the outside of the break wall. Be careful with the coast guard.
Thanks for watching! Yeah it wasn’t until after that Sheephead, the life guards gave us a warning and told us we were only allowed to dive on the outer wall
