we have the exact same taste for books and i have to tell you based on the books you liked i really think you'll enjoy call me by your name!! it's such an interesting, beautiful book, i really recommend you read it during the summer
Great recommendations I totally agree with you regarding The Secret History by Donna Tartt. I tried, but I lost interest and was not able to finish that book. ❤ Happy reading 📚
i loved your thoughts on these! i’m doing the same thing for 2025, and i definitely want to check out “giovanni’s room.” i’m curious- was getting into reading hard for you at first? how long did it take before you knew you liked to read? also props for reading “the secret history” within one month- it took me like three months at least 😭😭 i did end up loving it though, but i can understand not liking the plot structure
@@carlyk756 reading a little life has really established that i want to READ… it made me feel things and i thought i wanna discover more about some other books out there also tbh i finished the secret history just this january haha 🥴
Book recs if we were villains, anything by Morrison and Baldwin, those violent delights by micah, the perfume by patrick süsskind and listen for the lie for a palate cleanser
“i don’t know why i’m smiling.. i feel like i’m not supposed to smile” while holding up a little life is so funny i love this video

I love your voice. Nice selection of books.
I have just discovered you - in love with your content !
I think you'd really enjoy Swimming In the Dark by Tomasz Jedrowski. It's inspired by Giovanni's Room and has similar vibes, but set in Poland
i loved this!!
