Love how they don't just do same type of makeover on all houses like other shows do. This is unique designs and suited to the people. So much better to watch
@John Jones Good point. For a personal remodel I like: Abode "Design Inc" with Sarah Richardson. You can find it on RUclips in 20 minute videos. Really classy program.

"We've modernized the past." What a perfect way to put it. This homeowner is so sweet, elegant, excited, and appreciative. Her home really seems to suit her. It's so serene and just lovely. I love it all.
I like that they manage to keep at least one or two of the original features and don't totally "HGTV " all the houses they do where they all look cookie cutter from show to show.
It always amazes me what Ben and Erin and crew can do with a VERY modest budget, and not cut corners on structural issues. I can't believe that the total budget for this makeover (including only $30K for the purchase of the house) was $117K!! This show makes Mississippi seem appealing (something I never thought I'd say) and when I watch it, I find myself thinking I should head there with cash in hand and buy a run-down house for Ben and Erin work their magic on.
Stats are miserable. Over thirty percent of the population lives in poverty. Crime is double the national average. In real estate, it's location, location, location. This is not a desirable location even tho they make individual houses look terrific.
HELLO FROM FALL RIVER,MASS I PLAN ON MOVING TO YOUR HOMETOWN WITH NEXT 2TRS TO RETIRE ONCE MY YOUNGEST DAUGHTER FINISHES HER GRAD SCHOOL ...BELIEVE ME IVE EARNED MY TIME FOR PEACEFUL RETIREMENT...( NOT TO PEACEFUL) LOL! BUT IM SURE YOU UNDERSTAND....I LOVE YOUR WHOLE CREW AND TRANSFORMATIONS JUST SO UPLIFTING TO WATCH EACH AND EVERYONE.....HAVE A BLESSED DAY AND KEEP ON KEEPING ON...
Ben & Erin~ I really love the pattern you made on that front porch: from the Wood Design on the railing - GREAT JOB, BEN; to that Clever Paint job on the porch floor that Erin so creatively stylized to look like a rug… Just beautiful🌈; & then, been you put the repeat of pattern in the bottom half of the screen door so that there will be an amazing shadow from the sun every time the owner open the door and sat in her living room to enjoy it… what a FANTASTIC GIFT❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️ this house finished out to be such a comfortable, cozy home w/ Splashes of sentimentality throughout and your signature I cleverness in design & Storage that every homeowner appreciates long after you sign on the Dotted line, Ben & Erin❣️❣️ God bless you both for a job well done
YES, MICHIGAN 🀄🌹❤️💯 says the same thing. Wait 10 minutes, if you don't LIKE IT,. It'll change. If I ask my dad about the weather. He used to say,. I'll let you know tomorrow. I love WATCHING YOUR LOVING CHISTIAN FAMILY VLOGS. I have watch this one, over, over and over again. Usually I do. YOU'RE all such beautiful people. Love the porch trim in white. And dad's table. Screen door is perfect. WELCOME HOME
I'm not sure frosted windows are enough when they're that low with a commode in front of it! 😂 I was hoping it was just woods outside, but nope, there's cars parked out there! Design fail.
I can’t decide if I love or hate this house. The exterior color is awful. The interior is pretty bland, color-wise, and there aren’t many cupboards in the kitchen. Also, the window right behind the commode is ridiculous, especially since the glass isn’t frosted and it faces the road. BUT… I think those porch railings are truly inspired. The laundry chute is brilliant. The floor plan is perfect for one person. The furniture looks very comfortable, especially the dining room. I like that they mounted the microwave at waist level-that’s something you don’t see every day, but makes s lot of sense. And the shower is beautiful.
I love the laundry chute too. The exterior of my home is the outside color of this house. What color are you thinking would look better? I think the colors for the interior are perfect for this woman's furniture and her current lifestyle (downsized). I also like the mounted microwave at waist level. How you seen the drawer-like microwaves? I'd love that. Love the simple white shower too. I love smaller homes and live by myself. Keepin' it simple.
@@joane.3533 I think yellow would have been lovely for the exterior. I’m not against green-just not feeling it with that particular shade. I think the fact that people didn’t even notice the pattern on the painted porch is evidence that there isn’t enough contrast between the two colors. I have seen the drawer microwaves-I’d love to have one, as long as it’s not mounted just above the floor. My current setup is one of those contraptions that’s a convection oven and a microwave in one. I don’t like it. Fortunately I move in three days. 😄
color cant be wrong or right...neither can it be aweful...its a totally personal choice and preference. Unlike planning and sizes and placements, color has no "practicality" and is only to make us happy. what u call bland is soothing (or calm) for somebody else.
I love the color, but I am partial to green. The homeowner loves it, so that's what really matters. I love the interior colors too because they create an elegant, soothing, and relaxing setting. The kitchen cabinets seem like just the right amount for a single lady. If there had been cabinets above, it would have looked too cluttered in that small kitchen. However, I was shocked to see the clear glass window directly behind the commode. 😂 A little frosted peel & stick paper and it would be better...kind of. LOL
Why is the kitchen door not down to the floor? Caulk. Weather stripping. Seems like most outside doors are like this recently. Poorly. Bad. Not good. Same as I find in New houses. Is this a trend? To let in air?
Simpatico, I don't think that word means what she thinks it means. Or maybe I don't know what it means. In Spanish it means nice/friendly, which doesn't fit the context here.
Who dressed that poor woman in the clown shirt in the intro? Didn't anyone have the grace to tell her to go home and change? Sheeesh! I couldn't look at anything else.
Girl don't bring that negativity here. Enjoy the beautiful home. Style is subjective and nothing is right or wrong. Let her wear what makes her happy. She's earned it.

I was thinking the exact same thing! 😊
Yeah
Agreed. They always put so much into the houses.

I came for Nate & Jeremiah and I discovered Erin & Ben. Happy, happy, joy, joy!
Welcome😊🎉
I love how Ben and Erin reduce, reuse and recycle .. They do such a lovely job. Very touching and inspiring 💖
I enjoy your show because of how you lovingly talk with each other.

@@lallred1911That’s in Jackson..not Laurel.
You guys really have so much idea and designs to provide for those people who need it. Truly amazing. 🔥🔥
I LOVE that laundry shoot. That is ingenious.
This show never disappoints!
I wish they can renovate my house . I love them

Hi from Ireland ☘️ Love the result of this makeover. You both did such wonderful job & your ideas compliment each other. Love this home 🏘️
Laundry closet/ shoot GENIUS

Can't believe they got rid of that awning. Those go for big bucks in salvage yards.
Love these designers. Always beautiful, practical and thoughtful.
I love the homeowner's artwork! Every room has this gorgeous piece in it, and I'd love to find out the artists!
Erin is such a kind person
Love that she coming home.

It's awesome how low the properties are in that town, house came out great
That bed is amazing
If I had the money to buy a house to begin with lol I'd fly them out to Australia and get them to renovate it for me, I love there work.
Wow… hello from India, i have been following your channel for ages, and i love what you do.. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Thank you, Erin! They say it about Maine, too.
And Arkansas.
Definitely not here in California. We don't get storms like that.
I don't care the price but I care the interior design. So awesome.
Ohh, Erin! What about Ben? Makes me angry. Kudos to Erin for giving Ben the credit he deserves.
Love this!
the windows in the bathroom.... hello?!!! They need to be frosted!
I'm not sure frosted windows are enough when they're that low with a commode in front of it! 😂 I was hoping it was just woods outside, but nope, there's cars parked out there! Design fail.
Beautiful transformation 😘
I want a home like that. Bathroom fixtures not so much. The cabinet is great.
So cozy! Love the dining area off the kitchen.
Beautiful home.
I love their shows but unfortunately in the UK we don't get it often enough
Check out: Abode "Design Inc" with Sarah Richardson. You can find it on RUclips in 20 minute videos. Really classy program.
We say the same thing about the weather in SC also!!
Beautiful as always. I'd still add a few cabinets in the kitchen though.
Really like this home!
Wow, clothes shoot! Love their work.
Lovely!
My favorite!!❤️❤️
Love it!
Seems a popular green color... nice simple interior too. I hv my microwave at eye level on a trolley instead. Much better than high up n its movable.
Her repeatedly „Oh, Erin….“, Erin: „Not just oh Erin, oh, Ben, too!“ 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Sencilla mente hermoso

Ben we say the same thing in Kansas about our weather, LOL!!!
Yup, Erin's right: they say that abt weather everywhere!
Love it😊
Awesome!!!
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Why are the doors not tight, you can see light around them? Not air tight to the outside. Sad. First mistake I have seen that is really bad.
I like the lighter walls. Now I wish I hadn't just painted my living/dining room in a darker color
Why is the toilet beneath a window?
Very nice house. But the toilet under the window, for all the street to see???
Please upload more of Nate and Jeremiah!! :)
You haven't posted them in a week!
Can anyone tell me what shade of paint is on the living room walls in this house.
I think it is some variant of „taupe“, a very light taupe white maybe 🤔 the light and interior pieces affect the paint, could be „greige“ too
Why is the kitchen door not down to the floor? Caulk. Weather stripping.
Seems like most outside doors are like this recently.
Poorly. Bad. Not good. Same as I find in New houses. Is this a trend? To let in air?
Why do designers cover these beautiful floors with rugs?
Why didn't they fix that step in the sidewalk? Its badly cracked
Simpatico, I don't think that word means what she thinks it means. Or maybe I don't know what it means. In Spanish it means nice/friendly, which doesn't fit the context here.
Why would they install the toilet right in front of a window that’s a little strange
Jonathan is so hot

I agree and the fact that she’s short and very wide makes it even worse. 😖
Screw the you tube algo-something that points videos to my home page..... I have no interest in this video, why was it recommended to me?
