Thank you for the idea. I just started climbing SRT with basically same setup on the rope, except for the prusik backup. Where did you clip the carabiner from your eye to eye prusik to? The bridge on your saddle? Thank you!
In this video I hooked the hitch carabiner directly onto my bridge however if you are looking for less metal and noise potential, you can hook your friction hitch directly onto the carabiner on your gri gri (or Madrock). We will be releasing another video soon showing a different method of SRT climbing that is a little more advanced. It is more of a sit, stand advance, climb that utilizes the same components as this video along with the addition of a foot loop.
