This is the third and final part of the trip to New York mini-series, and after two gruelling contests in a row, I decided I'd put my feet up and have a little fun with a good old fashioned value menu take-down at a place I've never tried before...Sonic Drive-In! white castle is always good if you haven't tried it. checkers/rally, smash burger is really good, shake shack. then your regulars arby's, Wendy's, and so on
The thing about the mozzarella sticks is they really have to be the first thing you eat. And you need to eat them with the marinara dipping sauce. If you wait to eat them, they turn into chalky cheese concrete essentially. But "fresh" sticks with the marinara sauce are amazing and probably the only reason I go to Sonic's.

Sonic does breakfast, ice cream and drinks really well. Best eaten at the drive in, though. I used to go for their breakfast pancake dog (basically a corndog, but big breakfast sausage dipped in pancake batter and deep fried, maple syrup on the side.😋 I keep bingeing these older ones! All the eaters are great, but you Mr. Beard are the best! Great to see you evolve. Keep it up!💙💙💙🎉🎉🎉👊👊👊
Danny Eisan In and out is amazing get the animal style cheeseburger ...sonic...not so much I’ve lived In Florida and Texas where sonic is semi popular but it’s honestly terrible compared to other fast food but they have fire drinks
Danny Eisan, In and Out is superior to Sonic (IMHO). I notice that Sonic tends to be predominantly in areas without competition from the main burger chains (typically in smaller towns). Everything about Sonic is cheap and simple.
Nice editing in the royal footage, pretty sure Her Maj would be well impressed that one of her subjects has finally qualified for Nathan's Famous Hot Dog eating context. Also feel there was lots of accidental innuendo today... maybe the sun has just fried my brain... entertaining either way!
I used to work at some sonics. Their ice cream comes in a bag that is totally liquid, its hooked to a hose from the bag and put through a machine to make it harder for ice cream. And they don't "hand mix" any ice cream that I am aware of. I don't know whats actually used though to make it, just comes in a bag. Same with the chili, its in a big bag and poured into a steal pan and placed in a heating "hole" thing that makes it hot. Chili is poured cheese drizzled and put in a steamer to melt the cheese. Oh and their bread is toasted using a roller like thing which puts the better mixture on the bread and then tossed in a kind of moving toaster that pops it out toasted. Takes all of two seconds really. two slices of cheese are placed on the large grill and the bread right down on top to pick up the cheese and put together. I actually liked their grilled cheese when I worked there. Their food today though is shit compared to years ago when I was 18.

Popeyes is way better than KFC. There is a caveat to that though. I've only ever been to KFC in the UK, and compared to the US KFC, it is pretty poor (Nashville Hot chicken anyone?), and of course Popeyes isn't really over in the UK (yet?), and on the whole US fast food outlets seem to just be way better than their UK counterparts.
When you said 'hand-stirred milkshake' I thought of that scene in Scary Movie 2 where the deformed hand guy stirs the mashed potatoes. Bet Her Maj would love to see you at the Royal Variety. :-D

I've only ever been to KFC in the UK, and compared to the US KFC, it is pretty poor (Nashville Hot chicken anyone?), and of course Popeyes isn't really over in the UK (yet?), and on the whole US fast food outlets seem to just be way better than their UK counterparts.
yeah provably not fair of me to compare uk KFC to american Popeyes...I've never had American KFC
