awesome guide but the 2 combos at the end have a couple of typos i think... 45:01 should end with f2,1,4 (instead of f2,1,3) and 45:15 during LIB should be 4,1,2 (instead of 2,1,4) i could be wrong tho im not a pro lol i was just getting different moves on my end and got confused but figured out thanks to the slow-mo so thanks for that, best azucena guide i've seen so far!
And to head off the "guide should just be run 32" comments, I did have to introduce a NERF WARNING in the run 32 section. It works for now sure, but if you watch this video 6 months from now it may very well not be the same move lol. So until that time if it comes, uh... abuse the hell out of it lol
I had some experience with Motion Capture for video games and gotta admit even though Namco has always created a seriously fluid and accurate movement animations and overall choreography for Tekkens in the past, (I think they were using MoCap before it was industry standard) They really outdid themselves with Tekkn 8. Ps. You almost saw me as Leon in these new Resident Evil games :)
I saw you posting this a lot a few months ago. It started to feel weird back then cuz of how often I saw it but now it's definitely strange because we are even wording it the same lol

Dude, THANK YOU. I've been stuck at the last orange rank with her and this vid has taught me SO MUCH and given me so many ideas for how to mix things up. I felt like I only knew 75% of the character before this vid. For example you demystified why forward forward 4 even exists (the force crouch into grab). I only knew that the crouching DF+3 could do that. No idea about the backturn 3 either. I also had no idea some of these combo routes existed. Would like the vid 100x if I could. You EASILY make the best and most thorough Tekken guides. I know you're running a poll but do Steve next I BEG YOU hahaha.

Wonderful guide as always! Something I would love would be a section on also how to beat these characters! Like which strings are punishable, able to sidestep, duck, etc. Ways to deal with moves that are being consistently used by these players. I watch all your guides even though I don’t even play these characters, but would love a section on how to deal with them. Would be really helpful for viewers, especially those new to Tekken since a lot of the game is knowledge checks and I think having a section on how to deal with the character would go a long way for those trying to learn!
well knowing how the characters work is the key way to know how to beat them. So this guide already sorta works that way imo. There's nothing already not covered in this video you would need to know, every key strength she has youd have to worry about is all here.
One good note is that there's no recovery for cancelling libertador. So you can block while cancelling it, meaning you can block the rage arts of the desperates on reaction.
@@cbimz she's monkey mode for sure but I keep fighting people who seemed to have figured her out. And to be fair zero skill or effort can describe like 70% of the roster in this game
I found your channel when I was starting, a late comer to the FGC with Dragon Ball FighterZ. Whenever I wanted to pick a new character or a character new to the game, your guides were there. When SF6 came out, you were there to show the ropes. Now, you're showing the ropes for Tekken 8 for the game and for the character I want to try. Crumple ....full combo lol ive been loving azucena since release and the more and more i play her the more and more i learn about her, she may be kinda basic looking from the outside looking in but she has some decent depth to her that i enjoy
Two of my top 5 most disliked characters being Joise 'agrressivenes' and Lucky Chloe 'style' rolled into one to make Azucena one of my top 5 characters.
I was sold on Azucena from the trailers because of the aesthetic, but I’m almost kind of disappointed that she’s so simple. I guess I thought the dodge thing would be a bigger deal. Even though it’s not logical for me to think that, since the whole game is more complicated then I’m used to. But I am worried by the assessment that she has a few very strong things and a lot of average things, since I can imaging a nerf going very badly for her.
When I first saw her trailer she looked like a mix between Katarina and Lucky Chloe which were two characters I didn’t like in T7. Didn’t think for one second she would be my main, but once I started testing her out she’s been a blast to play and my go to character online.
well like said in the video, you roll your finger. slide from 1 to 2, if you are on pad just take your thumb and slide it from square to triangle in one quick motion, without actually pressing them at the same time
Your way of making tutorials is much better than all the guys speaking way too fast and not showing buttons visually. Usually I just hear random gibberish when they mumble the combos very unclear.

Just noticed a few errors in the notation in your combo sections, scrolled through the comments and didn't see them mentioned. Doubt you can actually edit the video but maybe notations or something? But anyways here's the errors In the first two combos starting at @ 45:00, the combo ender is wrong on both, they both state f 2,1,3, but it should be f 2,1,4. On the second combo, the notation says LIB 2,1,4 T! when it should be LIB 4,1,2 T! df 2 > df 1 > d 2,3 > LIB 2,1,4 T! > f 2,1,3 (what's notated) df 2 > df 1 > d 2,3 > LIB 4,1,2 T! > f 2,1,4 (the correct notation) Lastly, on the crumple/CH combo @ 51:17 you're missing the final hit of the combo ender, it says f 2,1 instead of f 2,1,4 Anyways, keep up the great content! Looking forward to more
It's my first (true) fighting game and decided to full main Xiaoyu, but yeah I feel more like I am piloting Xiaoyu with it sometimes working and sometimes not than actually playing the game(observing my opponent countering and all). I win often, but it really doesn't feels great, so yeah Azucena seems like a good pick to learn the basics and and my fundamentals right then go back to Xiao hell. Wish me good luck, I also wish it to you luck.
This character is so much fun and I made a character customization for her that made her look like one of my favorite and sexy femme fatales from DC Comics Harley Quinn, well as close as I could make her look like her, without mods and other things
Question, (besides loving these videos of course). Should one integrate Ki charges in fights? I almost never see anyone do that and it is sometimes a bit hard to get off when for example someone is pressing heavily on you. (or just straight out buttonbashing).

A great follow up for knockdown off 3,3 is FF3 if you hold the 2nd forward long enough u will cover all that range and its pretty fast

Just a heads up, when you show the first bread and butter combo, you show it as 2- 1 - 3 but its supposed to be 2-1-4 at the ending sequence

almost never really. Its to the point where in Tekken the Ki Charge is considered a taunt/sign of disrespect.
