I worked on a documentary about the Hudson River. Like this lake, the river also has zebra mussels. Apparently the zebra mussels are from SE Asia and came over in the bilge water of big cargo ships. The ships traveled up the Hudson river, and other rivers that lead to the Great Lakes, etc. Herons and other birds would pick up the muscles and some of them would get transferred into other bodies of water. It’s a real problem and needs to somehow be eradicated
great video. i used to go fishing in keuka lake as a kid off of the dock with bluff in the background. i always wanted to know what the bottom of keuka looked like. thank you !
@@JeffCarsboatsatvs Get a 1000ft of parachord on a spool tied to a gopro with a flashlight. Honestly iv considered it, from what iv been told by the oldtimers here Seneca is mostly soot on the bottom.
Lots and lots of quagga mussels (zebra too). Great video - most people never get a chance to see the lake from this vantage point.
Wow
Very cool to see the bottom like that.
Looks like a mussel farm.
Thanks for sharing
