- In this video i make my Grandfathers old model 34, a .22 caliber bolt action look almost new by replacing the old broke and beat up stock with a new one from Boyds. I hope you enjoy :) Please like and subscribe :)
Nice story about your mod 34. Just restocked a mod 34, added a Lyman peep site and am very happy with the results. Nothing made today comes close to the craftsmanship of the old walnut and steel rimfire rifles.
My grandpa bought one used back in the late 30s and I ended up with it and still have it. Very accurate gun compared to other newer rifiles I had. I might put a new stock on it after watching this video.
I bought one from a guy walking around the gun show 25+ years ago. I just wanted a 22 rifle, and had no idea about one rifle from another. But it looked nice, so I bought it. I think I paid about $125. I was shocked to find out how old the gun was, made back in the 1930's.
I grew up hunting and plinking with my Grand Dad’s model 34. I pulled of some amazing shots with that little 22. Back then I dreamed of owning that gun one day. Sadly, someone broke into my Dad’s barn and we never saw that gun again.
Thats so sad man. I know you miss it. Sometimes all we have to hold on to is the memories.
I have one, 100$ ill ship ya it lmao
They were made from 1932 to 1935.

OUTSTANDING JOB, BEAUTIFUL. THANK YOU FOR SHARING. I HAVE THIS SAME GUN BUILT IN 1935 BUT MINE IS IN ALMOST NEW CONDITION SO NO NEED TO RESTORE. MINE HAS BEEN IN THE FAMILY FOR 56 YEARS BUT I THINK LAST TIME IT WAS SHOT WAS BY ME IN 1966 SO I'M GETTING READY TO TAKE TO THE RANGE SOON.
