Haha, thanks, Greg! We can't hardly talk about the Taff and not mention your name. It's great that your Bucklos is still serving you well. We need to start doing some more long-term updates and reviews on all of our bikes and parts. Thanks for always watching and commenting.👍🏻
i just retired my Bucklos LUTU 120mm fork earlier this year...after about 4yrs of use. I was using it on my beater bike after I upgraded to a RS Recon RL. Now my RS Recon RL is on my beater bike and I'm running a 160mm RS Domain that i got on sale for $260 which is actually $7.00 less then what i paid for the RS Recon RL.
@ yes the wife and I are just getting into mtb and I have bought her the comp and I bought myself the expert, in the colors that you got now we are ready for budget upgrades for them!! Love your videos and we live up in Witts Springs AR
I picked up a 29" 100mm Judy Gold for my Trouvaille and a 27.5" 120mm Judy Gold for my Al Comp. I got the 29" for $187 shipped and the 27.5" for $219 shipped. Both were new and from big US retailers. They are a good budget option.
That would be a hard choice for us, but we really like the Trace 34, Raidon, and Recon rl forks depending on what we are riding. The Trace 34 is a great all arounder but hard to find for a good price these days.
Hey, we just found the X-Fusion RC32 for $169 and put the link at the bottom of our description on this video. That's a pretty good fork and a really good deal. Check it out and see if you are interested. Let us know what you think.
I love how you guys review products with absolutely no "brand bias" and back it up with real testing out in the field. So many products get maligned with false info spouted by forum morons who just repeat things they know nothing about. Perfect example is the ultimate parts bin, budget dirt jumper frame- The Windsor Ghost 6900. You can get it brand new for like 100 bucks, it's a double butted 6061-T6, single pivot frame....hwoever if you look it up, some dude ranted against it claiming it is a horribly outdated URT suspension frame ...and it's not but it got repeated over and over. Sure it's a little dated but it's something that your viewers could take advantage of. It also comes in 4 different sizes!
Rock shox judy Gold works great in my experience. I ran it hard for a summer on my axum before i bought my trek ex7. Great fork, and it can take a beating. For a less expensive option its pretty good. For me its all about the weight reduction.
You know how the prices fluctuate on all this stuff. We try to keep the forks in their price range categories, but even that has gotten hard to keep track of. Maybe if we just went by the msrp.
@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS that would eliminate the fluctuations and any sale prices. Makes sense. I was wondering because the top is the X Fusion with the Manitou Markour second. Is the X Fusion pricier. Wolfman made a good point about value in comparing the RockShox silver and gold.
It can be. The Tick likes it to occasionally bottom out lightly on the big stuff. I guess we all have our preferences, but I prefer the fork to get close but never bottom out.
I've been debating Judy gold vs rekon gold for my axum next season. It's weight vs durability for me. Having ridden 2 seasons with the rekon rl 140mm on my fs bike, I agree with tick. A good beefy fork always feels better
😆 No kidding. That's one of the problems with being a RUclipsr. As soon as they see the internet traffic increase, it seems that they start cranking up the prices.
I was considering gettting the RS Judy Gold but ended up getting the 120mm RS Recon RL. I retired the Recon RL when I got the 160mm RS Domain a few months after you guys posted that review. I just checked on eBay how much i paid for the RS Recon and it turns out I actually paid $7.00 MORE for the Recon then I did for the Domain when I got it on sale for $260.
The Bomber Z2 is in a higher bracket. The Markhor M30 is their more entry-level fork. Thanks for watching and commenting on so many of our episodes!👍🏻 Welcome to the #wolfticknation
Wolfman looks thinner and healthier...... happy to see that.
Taff FTW!! Great video and review guys! I still run the Bucklos air fork 120mm and it still works! LOL Good job fellas!

How long has the Bucklos lasted you?
"Son please..."
🤦♂️😆
I’m ready for the elite mongoose upgrades!!!!
Are you talking about the Switchback Expert?
@ yes the wife and I are just getting into mtb and I have bought her the comp and I bought myself the expert, in the colors that you got now we are ready for budget upgrades for them!! Love your videos and we live up in Witts Springs AR
Awesome! We will probably be doing something with the expert soon. We will probably be putting a better fork on it this month.

You got a great deal. Those are good prices.
@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS Good to see both of you back in the shop together
Thanks, man!🙏
I forgot to ask! Of the forks on this list which one are you picking. Which one is your favorite. Thankyou for commenting on plushness and smoothness.

I run the DNM 190 mm by 50 coil piggyback shock for the rear and a x-fusion trace 34 140 mm travel
Sounds like a killer combo!👍🏻

It would be interesting to list the price next to the forks to see the correlation between the ranking and the price.

You can increase the travel on the recon by removing travel spacers on the air spring still keep the bump stops i did it on an older recon gold
We don't usually want to open up forks, especially if we plan on doing long-term reviews on them. Maybe after a long-term update, we will consider it.
Bottoming out a fork is a terrifying sound.
It can be. The Tick likes it to occasionally bottom out lightly on the big stuff. I guess we all have our preferences, but I prefer the fork to get close but never bottom out.

The Recon RL is a really good fork. We feel as if the Recon punches above its weight in the smoothness department.
@WOLFTICKVIDEOS speak softly. We don't need rockshox jacking the price on this gem
😆 No kidding. That's one of the problems with being a RUclipsr. As soon as they see the internet traffic increase, it seems that they start cranking up the prices.
Hitting them sugar walls 😅
😋🤣
It's shimano deore derailleur and shifter from ali. They work good I have 4 of them.
Haha, nope. We might have to look into that if you are getting them in the $45 dollar range.

I cant believe yall didnt put the marzocchi bomber Z2 in that ratings list great video anyways be safe ride on from Memphis Tennessee ❤❤❤

❤ hey Jeremiah he wolf man I hope they found he's doing good looks like Wolfman is improving
I'm getting stronger every day, Willard. Thanks for the well wishes.
The recon fork on the taft might be the first Vid of ya'll that I saw.
Haha, really!?! Was that the drinking game one?🤣
@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS I don't recall anymore, I just remember the fork and taff lol
Please do a review of the bucklos dual crown fork i heard its a good fork 😅
If rockshox ever redesigns judy again, they need to allow tokens in it. It would solve most of the problems people dont like about it
If i recall yall were running 70PSI thats a little low i had same fork on my trek roscoe 8 and ran 90 to 100PSI wnd im 5ft 9, 170lbs
The Tick is 5'5" and about 142lbs. He is usually happy right in the 68-77 psi range.
Judy Gold is 30 mm but is still a Rockshox.
Judy Gold... is that an "artist" name??🧐🤔
Lol.
😜
