I almost bought the frame only about a year ago for 599. But ended up getting a Nukeproof Scout frame for 499. But the Norton for 699 complete bike is FANTASTIC!!

I built one of these frame up with alot of nice closeout parts, 150mm travel, nice wheelset, microshift drivetrain. Just raced my first xc race with it, even though my 29 would've been better, I love it. It's an awesome bike. It's my go to for a majority of my trails. Wish I could put up pics of it.
Bought one of these 2 months ago, upgraded fork to and x-fusion 29er fork, tubeless in the rear and front (29er on the front, mullet) upgraded tires, pedals, handlebar, and grips. This bike rocks, I'm $1200 in total and it rides just as nice as a $3k bike
Great video!! I built a bike using this frame over the summer. The experience was a lot of fun, but the final product was even better. I built it out as a mullet and it rides and looks incredible. I used an x-Fusion air fork, and hollow-tech BB so it’s pretty light too. Over the last couple months, I’ve written it pretty hard on trails and it has been a blast. I think the Poseidon Norton is a really good platform for a full custom build. It was my first build and now I’m thinking what my next will be!
It's a pretty cool bike right out of the box, on sale at $700 I'd like to have seen a dropper, air fork and/or 4 piston brakes. Recently built a full Temu/Aliexpress/Jenson build for the same price. If you already own all the tools to assemble everything you can build a decently equipped mtb for $700. Shimano XT 12-Speed 11-51tooth-Bucklos wheelset with 12mm boost thru axles-RockShox Domain 170mm-4 piston brakes-203mm rotors-Maxxis tires Assegai front DHR rear 27.5 2.5's running tubeless-150mm dropper with internal routing. Only question mark so far is the frame, It looks good and feels solid but I'd be lying if I said I felt completely safe on a $130 frame I got on sale from Temu lol
Finally a Poseidon Norton. I got the exact same frame a few months ago in XL for only $299 including shipping. I threw on my 160mm RS Domain along with another $2000 worth of parts lol. If you guys would bring back viewers rides 😤😤😤😅 i could send you a pic of it.
I almost got one at that price but the major turn off to me was the rear tire max size is 2.5 or so. I'm a fan of the plus size 27.5 so I got a used Fuse 27.5 that was rode hard. The Norton is a ripper and a steal at that price though, thanks to Jeremy for sharing it. Get well soon Wolfman!
Man Tick drinkin out of a urinal cup?! 😂 and it’s even yellow, missing the wolf man hope he’s healing up good. That Poseidon is great I just would like a 29 version and it would be killer. Jeremy did great as a host as well, and a Lebron Photo sighting is always welcome.
Those tires will probably be good on clay and hard pack. And those forks aren’t terrible they really don’t work bad. I had a pair of those on one of my bikes for a while.
Thats exactly how Eric designed the bike. You just upgrade it gradually, part after part and it will still work. Pretty clever if you ask me. Shout out to Spindatt
Great bike for the money, the only thing that really needs upgrading is the fork and 29er will keep mullet option open you can still run it full 27.5 makes sense
That is how bikes are packaged for legit bike shops. They assume they are professionally assembled for torque spec reasons and greasin' reasons. Also, the Advent is a 9-speed and can be bought with a clutch. The Advent X is a ten-speed. X as in Roman Numerals.
I ❤ Poseidon (but) it should have been a 29er from the start. I think Walmart Ozark Traik, Schwinn Axum, Kent Trouvaille has put a tint in the ideal of paying $699 for a 27.5 mtb
@007peter I think the norton as a 27.5 is good because it rolls faster than a 26", but it does not change the height like a 29" does. based off my measurements on a 27.5 I am a large frame. But if I get a 29" I have to go medium then put a longer stem on. 29" Is great I have a trouvaille, but even though I am 6'2"ish because I have a 32" inseam it changes the comfort level just a hair
Is nobody going to mention that the fork is for a 29” wheel ? Maybe they wanted to come out of the box with a 29 / 27.5, but got a deal on 27.5 rims and tires ?
I really wish these manufacturers would include at least a entry level air fork nowadays. I mean come on people. The old suntour xcms are trash and heavy. There's plenty of super budget generic air forks out there. It's almost 2025. Time to step up some of the stock components.
Good value for the money? Well, may I just redirect you to your own Grand Canyon 5 video then? Even with the 699$ sale this seems kinda steep. Only upside I see here is the geometry.
@CJGrand1 I have one and I would disagree, the advent x is an amazing groupset. most people change out the cranks for something they prefer so they chose to go with a budget item there. they also know that forks are a common change item, so even though it's a coil fork it is a better quality coil fork than some of the entry level bike shops come with. there is nothing wrong with running house sourced parts all the companies do it.
That bike was designed by youtuber Spindat, I've recommended it multiple times, finally someone listened
It's definitely a cool bike.👍🏻
A mtb creator has done a continuous review on this bike for about a year.

@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS I love mine, i wanted to do a build off on one with tick
Jeremy when he was describing who it's for hit the nail on the head. I was out of mountain biking for over 10 years and jumped on the norton

awesome video and really great description of everything about it. cant wait to see it on the trails
I was just looking at getting this frame to build a bike. Perfect timing for this video.

Keep it up! Get stronger Wolfman!
Poseidon is near me, been meaning to give this Norton a try.
Get well soon
I have been hoping you guys would do a video on this bike! I love this bike for the price. Thanks for the video!
Finally the Norton. There's a 100$ off code. I purchased their gravel bike last fall, i love it.
i have a norton and drop bar x, im thinking about getting the ambition v2
Wolfman Die NOOOO!, Get well soon dude! Wolfman Live YEEEEAAAHH!
Get well soon wolfman!!
Love from yhe uk
I bought this bike around March and put a Domain fork, the amazon 2 piston clark clones, and an amazon dropper on it, very nice bike.
got mine around the same time. I have a domain sitting in the corner waiting to go on it along with some tubeless tires
Anyone else say DON'T out loud when Tick took a drink out of the pee jug?
I was thinking the same thing 😂
I was mad he stole my jug!🤣
@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS I know how you can keep him from steeling it again...
Yeah don't get it mixed up with Wolfman's bedside bottles.
I was like NOOOOO!!!!!!
Love the mullet idea!

What a colorful group of cool people.
That is a SWEET frame! $250..... hmmmm.... Great video Jeremy!
Oh man, i was looking at one of these!
It's definitely a good platform and not bad out of the box.
Thanks for the nice comment.🙏 I'm getting better and stronger every day. 💪
at least he put ice in it, so its more refreshing !
Tick, you gonna buy one?
Maybe a collaboration with Spindat!
Those tires will probably be good on clay and hard pack. And those forks aren’t terrible they really don’t work bad. I had a pair of those on one of my bikes for a while.
Great vid! I think Jeremy should mullet it since he's a bigger guy. Might even be able to put a 29 in rear 🤔
I'm a fan but I just couldn't get past Jeremiah drinking out of the hospital urinal bottle! 😬

FYI The Giordano Intrepid is on the Mendham bikes website for 399 right now.

Dang, that's a big ole boy! I would be careful on the jumps and drops .
As a big ole boy myself(Wolfman), Jeremy and I are definitely both in the keep the wheels ON the ground club.😄
How does this compare to the OZARK Trail MTB Bike?
I’m thinking that those cable actuated hydraulic brakes would be good on a jump bike or Slopestyle bike with a gyro…

The Grand Canyon 5 is a nice bike for sure. The Norton is definitely more for the aggressive builder type.
The weight is in that fork. That bike is not a good deal. Generic components all over.
