Ride your bike all year round regardless of conditions. I love riding Sub-Zero , with the proper clothing your cocooned . Enjoying the outdoors while everyone else is shivering. There are winter boots on the market for cycling. And I strongly suggest that you don't use cycling gloves for extreme cold use ski gloves . Have a proper bike for the snow and enjoy. Been doing this for 40 years or more loving it
Winter is a great time to ride where I live, unless the snow gets too deep. Cold and dry, normally, ground is firm, excess vegetation is gone, no bugs, no heat. Good to go for me, down to about 15 degrees F. Good times.
That's pretty low. I might have to wear pants for that. I haven't worn long pants on a bike in a long time... I can't imagine what you're wearing to stay warm at 15, seems like it'd be hard to control the bike the same.
I have uploaded my bike three weeks in a row and still have not gotten on the bike vault. Am I going something wrong? Also can you do a video about NICA more people need to know about it
Southern Hemisphere in South Africa! Been having 30 degree C days. BUT summer is muddy for us too… just rains… but love the longer days though so can get out after work! Our winter is beautiful too though… dry and doesnt snow here… maybe everyone should just come here!
Hey team from the bottom of the world, Rotorua, New Zealand! We have just come out of winter and the trails here are running so mint, hero dirt everywhere. Temperatures are in the 20*c at the moment with a bit of rain every couple of weeks to keep the trails mint and the stoke high😃🤘 Love the show 😍😍😍
I'm a cross country rider who rides in my local forest (Epping forest) which has lots of trails but It's mostly hilly and fast fire roads. Most of it is gravel but there are some dirt sections. I usually don't ride in the winter but have been riding up to now and other than one really muddy section I'm surprised how good condition the forest is currently in. If this keeps up I'm probably going to ride the whole winter. Keep up the good work Gmbn!
Winter riding is best in the dark. Gear up, grab some lights and watch your trail vision improve in the dark. Not only do you stay in shape and adapt to the adverse conditions as they occur, you’ll be quicker to make to your line choices because of the lower visibility.
Australian here, currently it has been so rainy here too hahahah so this video is pretty relevant for me too. But if it isnt raining it is soooooo hot, so ive been loving my Ebike to get me up the hills without passing out
Yes! Will be riding all winter this year. Live in Sweden so it gets cold and dark. The trails are available until there is snow. Most trails here intertwine with prepared cross country ski courses so no mtb riding then. At that time it is time to change discipline to the gravel bike with spiked tires and powerful lights. Cold AF and not as fun but it has to be done…
Fill squish specialized gets stripped and tucked up around end of October and the mulleted Scout RS gets a full winter service ready to be used and abused for the harsh months on the run up to April.
Here in Bavaria we get snow, lots of it. we have winter tyres for cars and bikes. Mine have studs. Riding through the snow is great, you can also park and do a bit of cross country skiing, or tow sledges or get the dogs out LoL
#captioncontest Blake is stoked, having heard he's just landed the lead singer job in a Slade tribute band. All together now - 'And here it is, Merry Christmas, everybody's having fun.....'
I don't really mind riding in winter....What I do dislike though is having to wash the bike after every ride during winter. I even 1 or 2 times did not go out, because I was not feeling it to have to wash the bike after.
Down here in south eastern US..we get about 1 month of freezing temperatures out of 3 months of winter... If it gets below 0 it's very seldom.😋..in finland the bike trails are plowed in the city...bikers will be bikers adventure outdoors 🚲 🌐 ❣️
Ironic that a viewer from Cleveland was selected for the bike vault. Cleveland happens to be home to the best indoor park to ride in winter Ray's Indoor Mountain Bike Park.
The DSS seemed a little off, rushed, everything okay? I started winter riding last year. I got my first full sus in Dec and I wasn't waiting to try it out. Layer up and you are good to go. I do avoid the rainy days though. Great time to watch MTB films.
I really feel sorry for Adam Brayton, struggling for points for the uci downhill and now don’t get invited to hardline. He’s an OG! What do you guys think?
Sliding around in the dirt during winter? Heck no! Where I live we slide around on ice and snowy trails on fatbikes, in temperatures down to -25c (Northern part of Sweden)
Do you ride throughout winter? What do you do to make it easier?
Good handgloves , proper shoes and clothes 😊
a good jacket, thermal pants,
what winter?
Just ride through a puddle at first and there's no going back
Good and apropriate clothing to stay warm and dry. Especially the core. Mud tyres are a must have! Powerful lights to prolong the ride.

Urban Enduro!!!...for the love of all that is two wheeled & holy GMBN...do NOT break Rich!!!!
...but seriously, Rich will KILL IT!!! 😎👍👍👍
Snow groomed single track in BC and Alberta is a new level of fun. Snow packed trails are wonderfully grippy and fast.
it's a 120 here in the desert in the summer, we look forward to winter......

Love seeing the presenters taking us first hand as competitors in these events! Allowing us to live vicariously through them!

The mud where I live is all winter long and after a few feet I’m stuck so no winter riding this year😢😂
winters pretty dry in west austrailia so a bit of rain is a welcome change to the loose pea gravel

#CaptionContest Aww, look. The sun-baby from the Teletubbies is all growed up.
#captioncontest When Blake sees his "PRECIOUS" hardtail .
Winter riding is bad here in southern Ontario. Mid-late fall and early spring are bilding season ⛏️ all that free water and cool working temps
Fill squish specialized gets stripped and tucked up around end of October and the mulleted Scout RS gets a full winter service ready to be used and abused for the harsh months on the run up to April.
Got bike park Wales booked up for the 7th of December! Love a little winter send

#1 reason to ride in winter;
You live in Arizona, so it is not 48°/118° anymore.
The average high in feb is 22°/72°.
#captioncontest Blake is stoked, having heard he's just landed the lead singer job in a Slade tribute band. All together now - 'And here it is, Merry Christmas, everybody's having fun.....'

Me and friends tend to ride more in winter, get lights out

#captioncontest Blake when he realised his homemade bike is stronger than his arm
Best bit is plenty of parking at the bike trails
Or at the bike park it’s covered in snow 10 feet deep
Ironic that a viewer from Cleveland was selected for the bike vault. Cleveland happens to be home to the best indoor park to ride in winter Ray's Indoor Mountain Bike Park.

I ride with snow i love it
Reasone #6, because you live in San Diego and winter means pants with your sandals.
I live in San Diego. I don't know what this "winter" thing is? Is that when I switch to a long sleeve jersey? For the early morning rides?
hard to ride when the temp hits the negatives.
I really feel sorry for Adam Brayton, struggling for points for the uci downhill and now don’t get invited to hardline. He’s an OG! What do you guys think?
