I am a Browns fan all my life however, there are 2 players that has my total respect: Darrell Green played the game the way its was supposed to be played. I also loved Troy Polamalu even though he was Pittsburg. You just dont see Players like this anymore. Much Respect
Dude polamalu was a one of a kind, once in a lifetime player and the things he did on that field was nothing short of a miracle! He would be lured to the opposite side of the play and before the player with the ball would be gaining yards he would have tracked him down and tackled him either before he could gain yards or get maybe a yard or two! He had a game iq that is unmatched before his time and most likely won’t be matched again in my lifetime! If you can ask any team that had to play against him will tell you that he was the one player that they couldn’t make a good game plan for him because everything that they tried to do to make him have no difference in the game always turned out to be the worst decision ever because he knew what they were going to do before they even made it to the line of scrimmage! He forced the opposing team to burn so many timeouts that he was the make or break player in many great playoff games and Super Bowls! One problem is that their teams were so dominant that his contributions were overlooked by a lot of the commentators but even when the team wasn’t playing well they still would win the game because of their one man wrecking ball in the backfield and they will be talking about him and his feats for generations! Seriously though name one guy who was as great as Troy polamolu was in the free safety position!!!
@@ricomiddlebrookliveslifeyeah he’s a great wideout that’s way underrated! I would make him my number one wideout if I made my own all time team, was always coming up big in the clutch situations and in my opinion he doesn’t get the respect he deserves but I think he’s one of the greatest in his position!
Darrell Green has always been my favorite NFL player. I was born in Washington D.C. and grew up a Redskins fan. I remember the first game I was able to attend, Billy Kilmer was playing with a broken nose. There was the time I was thrown out of a Dallas bar for rooting for the Redskins. It was the iconic NFC Championship game of 1982. Darrell Green is the essence of class.
Thank you number 28 for the great memories... Players like Darrell Green only come once in a lifetime HTTR!!!!! Darrell Green was the God father of the secondary
Darrell is just first class John riggins was always number 1 but by retirery his number 28 and all the accolades Mr green has accomplished he by himself because of the new owner will bring culture back to DMV through his career Darrell has always preached community he retired in 2008 hate to say it synder ruined fan base and community until owner Harris decided to do the best thing first by honoring Darrell green it's so emotional being looking back for a decade and some we were always a winner for most of Darrell career thanks Darrell no matter how you take it you deserve it
My uncle Shannon knows you Darrell... He always told me we're related... I don't know but It's funny because my middle name is Darrell, last name is Green and live in DC....🤷🏿♂️ All I know is you're a legend 🙏🏿
I'm from PG, As a Washington fan you still to this day CAN'T tell my Pops that Deion was better than Prime nor was Deion faster(which may be true). One thing for sure was his longevity is unwaivered and that takes hard work to keep in shape like he did and to remain healthy is impressive. In training camp at age 40 he ran a 4.39 or something close to which is crazy 🫡
@@iamrich4274 Oh okay lol. Yeah Darrell was that guy, he is underrated in the greatest DBs conversation for sure. Deion is my top DB & top 3 defender but I wouldn't be mad if you brought up DG.
I am still shocked that he isn't in the HOF yet. 12th all time in receptions, and 8th all time in career receiving yards, one of only 3 players to win a receiving triple crown in the super bowl era. Only category he isn't top 10-15 in is receiving touchdowns. He's only 5'9" but he played like he was 6'3"
Green would probably in his age today be able to cover Tyreek Hill not only keeping up with him but actually out running him to the ball. Ok maybe not today but prime Green for sure
1.) Just saw a clip of Hershel Walker beating DG in ONE of those NFL Fastest Man races. 2.) Roman Harper was slow AF when he played … Winter in Detroit, at his age, he’d be lucky to get a 4.9 😂

Cleveland had some good players, like Eric Metcalf, Eric turner, lost to ravens, rip
Hines Ward?

Class act. The world needs more people like Mr. Green.
This is one of the best and most inspirational football interviews I've ever watched 👏 Great segment all around 🎉

Always A Blessing Seeing & Listen To The 🐐
Finally OG sports talk for an OG 😊
A blessing to hear, gems dropping all over the place!
Fastest nfl player of all time
It's July.... I'm waiting on the race..!
He was still running like a 4.2 or 4.3 40 when he was the oldest player on the Redskins roster
Darrell Green THE BEST OF THE BEST.

A lot of wisdom on this pod

easily 💯 💯
a 4.24 in his 18th season? DG was one of the GOATS...
Did he just call this man Gandalf the grey! 😂🤣😂🤣
Peanut Federal Agent Tillman in the building
One Question - Does he still have a tootsie roll in his sock?
Probably🙂
In no order Sanders Green Champ Charles Woodson
No Rod Woodson? Compare his stats to ALL the DB’s you listed and reevaluate your choices 👀
Mel Blount ? Nightrain lane ?
I know you was great the first time I seen you I know your rookie season
Darrell “Trailway” Green
Roman look like he played 15 yrs before DG
Do had gray hair at 20 years of age
If you dont like Darrell Green, you dont like football.
Darrell Green is fun to listen to but the top three corners of his era are Mike Haynes, Eric Wright, and Deion Sanders. Darrell Green is number four.
Uncle Al is going to let Us dig into his crimes, finally! STAY TUNED!
FREE CRYSTAL AKANA!

Walker didn’t beat DG
In 100 yard. Dash nfl superstars.
Commanders!!!!!!!! lol Darrell look like Ronnie Coleman
Rod Woodson was the GOAT
Roman and sharper were so good together saints early defenses were good ‘08-‘11
Uncross you legs boy🗣️🤦🏽♂️😂😂
I thought he was Wesley Snipes.
