This is an (almost) full run of the mainline at CMRS. It's missing the "level 1" which is really mostly a staging area, the 2 helixes and a nice coal mine, which I'll feature another time.

The purpose of the video is to expose their very nice scenery. The upper level is still under construction in some area.

Several persons asked why this features a background music track and no train engine sound. The fact is there is no train sound since it wasn't a DCC-sound engine running. The only sound recorded was some other members' discussions, which I did not want to capture on the video. I could have of course dubbed some other random train sound recorded separately, and instead choose to use a jazzy/ambient background sound track on this one as I have other videos where I focus on capturing proper engine sound.
I do however plan to redo this layout tour at some point and the new one will feature engine sound since this has been requested many times :-)

Lot of hard work in a ho scale RR had one when i was in my 20's two 9 x 5 table with a 9' wooden tressle all hand build..

The guys at the club made a lot of progress in the last few months. They are actively working on the sierra mountains which now has most of its shell in place and work is ongoing to paint it and add trees. Also a lot of work is happening on the branchline -- which is not shown in that video, I hope to cover it in another video. It's all looking really really good, they make amazing work.
This layout is great, but I am curious why you do not have Sacramento, Roseville, and Reno. Roseville is one of the most important towns to have if you're modeling Donner Pass.
+Kevin Renner Sacramento is definitely there, there's a West Sacramento yard, an East Sacramento yard and a fancy Sacramento downtown. Not sure about Roseville. And the upper level technically ends at Sparks.
When you make a cab ride video you need to learn to keep the people out of the scenes that takes away from the perspective
I fully agree with you. Being filmed in a club, sometimes compromises have to be made.
Actually, this cab ride is pretty good in that regard. There are cab rides on RUclips where the operators and guests in the aisle face the oncoming train and having a locked stare on the camera, and then even smiling in delight. Still others have full casual conversations going on between several people, or have eyes peering into the tunnel. This one is pretty human neutral.
