It had a great story, but the game was undeniably linear and segmented. You could only reach the 3 areas from the sky, and couldn't travel between them on the ground, nor were there warp options, like the whirlpools in ALttP, the whistle in the original, or the Ocarina songs in OoT and MM. Does that make it a bad game? No. But I am excited for the new game being a lot more open and bigger.
I just payed $90 for that game and a wii, $18 more for a nunchuck and now I don't have a Wii MotionPlus controller and my local gamestop doesn't sell them. I can't shop online and I live in Ireland. Looks like it's going to be a while before I ever play this game :,(

Nostalgia is a funny thing. Those first two Zeldas are utterly spellbinding to me because I was about 2 years old when I first watched and became transfixed by them, but I can totally understand if they have zero effect on players who didn't grow up with them

Ocarina of Time brings back the good days. Everyone is mainly focused on BOTW but Majoras Mask and OOT are just lost in the sea of Other Games. I still enjoy playing it and seeing the intros brings back so much.

hate on me all you want, but skyward sword is my by far favorite zelda game. I remember buying it back in 5th grade and being to excited to play it. I spent countless hours trying to finish it. It was the first game that i actually sat down to play. Four sword adventure wast the first game i played but i stopped after literally 10 minutes of playing it. Skyward sword personally has bad control, but just get used to it. Its soundtrack is the best music in any zelda game i have ever played. Majora's Mask will always be my favorite. The individuals stories in that game made it amazing. It was like playing through a book, I loved all the personalities presented. Even with the darker undertone, the feeling of hope and prosperity was always there. Blew my mind as a child, that's for sure.

Luis Segura It may not be canon and have a differing play style, but It's made up entirely of Zelda characters, and it's solely based around a Zelda storyline. No outside cameos or references. So to an extent, it IS a Zelda game. And it DOES count.

Nostalgia is a funny thing. Those first two Zeldas are utterly spellbinding to me because I was about 2 years old when I first watched and became transfixed by them, but I can totally understand if they have zero effect on players who didn't grow up with them

I'm probably one of the few that wishes they'd use graphics more like they used in Twilight Princess than the cartoony cell shading of windwaker/skyward sword/etc. It's not that I disliked the cell shading, but now I'm starting too. I'm bored of it. *sigh*

Ocarina of Time brings back the good days. Everyone is mainly focused on BOTW but Majoras Mask and OOT are just lost in the sea of Other Games. I still enjoy playing it and seeing the intros brings back so much.
I'm crying all the time I hear all Intros. Best licence, all games are good and none can be better as other because they all are Masterpiece in their genre.

hate on me all you want, but skyward sword is my by far favorite zelda game. I remember buying it back in 5th grade and being to excited to play it. I spent countless hours trying to finish it. It was the first game that i actually sat down to play. Four sword adventure wast the first game i played but i stopped after literally 10 minutes of playing it. Skyward sword personally has bad control, but just get used to it. Its soundtrack is the best music in any zelda game i have ever played. Just sitting down and listening to the music makes me want to cry from all of the memories it brings back. And the amazing and puzzling games along with the amazing gameplay just makes me go all fanboyish

Nothing can beat wolf Link's howl from the Twilight Princess Intro and the wonderful choir at the background with Link and Epona galloping through Hyrule Field. It's absolutely gorgeous and I always get goosebumps.

Majora's Mask will always be my favorite. The individuals stories in that game made it amazing. It was like playing through a book, I loved all the personalities presented. Even with the darker undertone, the feeling of hope and prosperity was always there. Blew my mind as a child, that's for sure.

Twilight Princess is so beautiful. If the game art was on the same level as Bayonetta 2 I think my eyes would have a permanent orgasm. I used to love just staring at the twilight barrier at night. Oh the memories. I haven't played Majora's mask or Skyward Sword yet thou. I really need to. I might as well just get the 3ds version of Majora's mask thou :D
