Rinehart 3.5 slip ons amzn.to/2wrAw8e
This is the first video I've found that describes the pipe gaskets. I'm installing these tomorrow and this really helped. Liked, and subscribed!
I think you you made everyone watching this video say "whoa!" And then cheer when you hit the start button. Sounds great Tony. Great choice.
Thanks, I was bummed my install video was a bust forgot to set my iso way to dark.
Sounds good, lookin for my first Harley, Leaning towards 19 slim,…will probably start off wit slip ons….
Slip on, slip off, what's this I hear about a gasket? You're the only bloke who has mentioned this, it's the little details that are good to know.
I am a huge fan of Rineharts I have them on my Street Glide! They may not be as loud as some of the pipes out there but they are plenty loud and they just have a mean tone to them!
I just bought the same Rinehart slip-ons for my 2019 softail slim, putting them on tonight. Thanks for the information in your video!
Congrats, your gonna love the sound!!!
@@TonysGarage sound great in your video!
@@srvsteve71 still like them
They are a great set of slip ons.
Had Reinharts on my Softail Cusom. LOVE them. Worth every penny.
I'm with you brother! Saving the warranty and going the same direction love Rineharts.....no waste of time you are always informative...... Ride hard or stay home😎
Thanks
That’s because it’s giving you room to put your heat shields back on brother! Thanks for the video
Love the Cousin Eddie line……Really nice.
Tony, pipes look & sound great. I agree, the fuel controller can wait, warranty is more important right now. As you said, you already have all the power you need, you can tweak it at a later time. Enjoy!
Thank you
I'm looking to possibly upgrade my Iron 883 this weekend to a 2019 Low Rider and was looking around at different options. I'm was quite surprised when I landed back on your channel to an older post which is now more relevant to me now! Might have to go with these. From what I can find, the Screaming Eagle ones are only sort of loud when you rev the engine. Otherwise it just sounds like a sewing machine. Thanks for the solid review brother!
Got these on my slim they sound great thank for the video Tony
The V&H Twin Slash do not require the gaskets.
These sound great.
My dealership recommends a tunner for the slip on as well. Sounds good
Ron Wissinger because they want to charge u 400$ slips you don’t need a tun full system yes
Just discovered your channel, thinking about Slim next Spring. Very informative videos and can't knock Wildcat Fan either :)
Thanks for watching👊
Why did you get the screaming eagle tuner if it wasn’t going to make the bike run better? You don’t need it for slip ons right.. I know you said that this one would not void warranty, so what exactly is the turner doing..
Thanks, good video
Sweet pipes! Can you put the heat shields from the old ones on the new ones? Peace brother.
No, they won’t fit.
Now that you have had them a couple months do you have any change opinion or riding the bike after a couple of summer months.
Wow a ray underhill deck... very nostalgic
One of my favorite decks
Ya got some sick decks back there!
👊👊👊
Would have loved a comparison start up from before and after.
I know, the video I originally recorded had a comparison but the audio didn’t record. So I had to redo it.
Do you have any decel pops with yours? I put them on my street bob and it has a fair amount of pop.
I have zero developer pop as of now that could change with the weather.
@@TonysGarage Thanks for the response! I love the sound of these pipes, it just seems to be running a little rich. I was told that slip ons may not have such issues....usually.
If you don’t add an air cleaner you should be just fine with slip ons. When you add an air cleaner you will need a tune. When you added those you removed the catalytic converters which live in the stock muffles which in turn may add a little decel pop just from the increased exhaust flow. Enjoy your pipes they sound great and ride safe!!!
The pop will disapate in time
V&H vs Rinehard which one is better?
I don’t think one is better than the other but I prefer the sound of the rineharts.
Sounds loud!!! Forget the FP3 and just enjoy the bike as it is for this season.
It has some volume for sure! More than I expected. You give sound advice. Thanks for watching.
Question for ya about the tuner, I have a 2015 slim that I wana put a 2 into 1 header on. Now my question is which tuner would you best advise to use
FP3 is by far the easiest to use. The power vision is also a great tuner.
Pretty sure a tuner is mandatory with any air or exhaust mod. Your bike was lean before and even leaner now. FP3 is the way to go and it saves the stock map in case you need to reload it for warranty work. Having said that, I think your videos are where I got some info having recently bought and installed a FP3 myself. Sure I’ll see it installed in one of your next videos as I binge watch them. Haha. Ride safe
Wrong the m8s are not. Twin cans were 16:1 or 17:1 from the factory. M8s are 14:1 from factory.

Good to know. Thank you...
Tony,
I have a 2020 Low Rider S and I'm considering the Rinehart as replacement to OEM mufflers. My main question is, how loud are them? Can you compare the loudness to the V&H?
I have other two Harleys and both are fitted with the old Screamin' Eagle II mufflers (not these street cannons that HD sells today....but actually SE that made a sound).
Is the Rinehart TOO loud?
Hey Daniel, this is a tough one. They are not as loud as V&H but they do have a bark. They have a bit deeper sound to them. At idle they are pretty tame but when you get on the throttle they come alive. Hopes this helps. Ride safe.
Looks good and Sounds great!
Thanks, really happy with the sound!
Tony good morning from the city of Taj Mahal. I think Harley dealerships in India, hook up the bikes on their own computers and do a stage 1 tune up, whereby you don't have to invest in a dedicated screamin eagle tuner. do check with your dealership for the same.
They will remap the bike for you but you are required to purchase the tuner. Tuner and tune at my local dealer runs about 700 to 800 dollars.
Sounds like the best option. Any perceivable loss of torque, etc? I know there is no gain without a tune and higher flow intake. Thanks!
Really nothing I could feel while riding. Thanks for watching.
Do you think if I get aftermarket slips on, the warranty will be voided?
It shouldn’t void the warrenty because you don’t need to change the tune with just slip ons
Hey Tony new to your channel. So glad I ran across this. I am getting slip ons from rinehart as well. I was wondering if you can expand on the importance of not reusing the original gaskets and if I need a to get replacements what is the Harley part number.
You will need new gaskets for sure. The old ones do not want to come out at all. Not sure on the part number just went to my local dealer and picked them up. Congrats on the slip ons they will sound great!!! Thanks for watching!
@@TonysGarage Thanks Tony! Keep up the great content! Got a new fan today!
Holy shit do those sound good!
Doing this yourself doesn't void the warranty?
It all depends on your dealer and their policy
So if i put slip ons only ? I dont have to mess nothing Else ?
Nothing, unless you air a high flow air filter
Sorry for the dumb dumb question but .. i have the bike stock , if i put a slip on on it do i to do a new air filter? I would like to just have a better sound on it , no performance needed at the moment . Thanks man for responding
Bruno Ferreira with just slip ons you don’t have to do anything to the bike. If you add slip ons and a high flow air filter then you have to tune the bike. If you are just looking for sound then just do the slip ons and you are good to go. No tune needed.
Do you have any deceleration pop?
No sir
I like them sound nice
Thanks
Hey Tony,
Is there carpet in your Garage?
Big shout out from North germany
Just under the Harley. Helps with nuts and bolts bouncing all over the place.
Nice! Did you notice an increase in power or just the sound?
Mostly sound
Sounds great!
Thanks, really liking the sound of these Rineharts.
Do these have cats in them?
The stock one do, the slip on do not.
Tony Cox thank you
Look very nice, but the SE slip-ons a loud enough for me. Each to their own, I can't stand riding behind those with loud pipes, very annoying.
Are you serious?? No sound test for us???
you really need to start including shots where your entire bike is in frame. every video of yours I've viewed i was waiting for a shot of what the bars, sissy bar, slip-ons look like on your bike, but all i get are close ups. great videos otherwise.
Maybe start the bike so we can actually hear the things you’re talking about them but then you don’t even start your bike so we can hear the sound just a thought
That was informative! S5
Not a fan of really loud pipes. Yours look nice though.
Thanks, They are a little more than I expected but the sound really mellows out at cruising speeds. They do bark when you crack the throttle.
Where's the sound of the pipes? LOL
