For “me”, there was no need to apologize for the language used after hearing the bike with the Rinehart’s. THAT TRULY helped the viewer/listener truly “feel” what you felt hearing the bike with them on. So, thanks for that! Also, very well edited video and GREAT, VALUABLE insight on the adapter requirement! Been going through QUITE A FEW videos lately, in order to determine what I’d be replacing the stock pipes on my FatBoy with. My “preference” based on the videos I’ve seen and listened to are the Khrome Werks 3.5s, but, I live in California and due to emissions requirements, they don’t “currently” offer a California-compliant product. However, prior to coming across theirs last week, and viewing several videos of several others, and particularly ones comparing different slip-ons, I had definitely decided on the Rineharts, so again, THANKS for the exclamation at the end! Due to the date and the fact that I don’t do a lot of riding at the moment, I can probably wait since Khrome Werks doesn’t have a date, but does plan to put their CA-compliant slip-ons out this year. But if I get antsy (and I even told them), I’ll be going with those Rineharts as well!
Thanks for posting this Joshua. The Rineharts sound absolutely awesome. I just bought a Rinehart for my 2019 Sport Glide (arrived today and just picked it up) but unfortunately didn't catch your video post until now. Like you, I was blind-sided by the gasket requirement! Have to go back to the dealer and grab a gasket now. That sweet exhaust sound is worth it though.
I am thinking about this slip ons since many time. My 2018 fat boy need this and i follow since many times. Do you think meanwhile come out something better talking about slip ons? Because i see other alternatives and i don't find nothing better than this. I heard on a 107 too some time ago and they give me a great impression. Bye from Italy
Thank you for your reply. I just had a stage 1 Upgrade, including the the auto tuner that remains on the motorcycle. When I filled up the tank, the remaining miles to empty read as 173. It use to read over 200 after a tank fill up before the Stage one change.
Awesome I have the same one what I did I changed the hit shield in the front to Chrome, the brakeout have the front in chrome and it looks great match the slip on perfect, safe ride
deep and throaty is what I'm looking for, but I also need them loud, how loud are they in real person point of view, lot of pipes i listen to on vids, sound the same
Wow I've been searching everywhere for a straight piped sound of the M8, and here I find this video and you got it and it wasn't even intended. Also does no one put the heat shield back on over the slip-ons? The Fat Boy has a really nice looking set of heat sheilds, and I'd wanna keep em.
I liked the shiny chrome pipes verses the satin chrome finished heat shields. I wasn't a big fan of the satin chrome finish they did on the new 2018 Fat Boys. I'll probably end up chroming all of those satin parts, including the headlight.
@@JDNWolverine77 is it possible to put the exhaust heat shields back on the new pipes? I'm getting one of these bikes next year, and I wanna keep the heat shields on. I love the satin look, personally.
I looked at those, and did a sound comparison of both side by side, and I liked these way better. Way deeper, and throatier sound. I compared them to the Vance & Hines Neighbor Haters too, these Rineharts stole the show.
I tried reading the comments to see if you covered this but... we're wondering if you removed any baffles or packing for this clip? I believe that you haven't done any other engine work or had a special tuner installed, correct?
@@JDNWolverine77 Thanks for the reply. I just put thousands into Bassani pipes and a Pro Street tuner, and the bike sounds anemic. Looking for a path out without voiding my warranty. Have Rineharts on my Indian and I lkke them. Looking for a bit more for my Fat Boy.
Hey bro I got the same issue. I try to get the new gasket from my local dealer. I’m still curious about it’s that easy to put the new gaskets on the rinehart slip on ?
Joshua David Sings Same here but to honor my warranty my dealer wanted me to have it put on the dyno to make sure the ECM accommodated the change via no catalyst and it looked real good . The ECM made adjustments to dump more fuel in the mixture above 5k to keep her running cool and the throttle tables were good . my warranty is all good . It was good any how and they knew it but probably wanted to suck money out of me. I didn’t argue since my dealer salesman really push the warranty scare if you change slip ons per EPA but I talk to the service manager and he said as long as I don’t flash an FP3 and it makes the ECM makes the right corrections I’m good and for I wanted to tune it I would be good with Harley’s tuner . I have a friend who jacked his bike up with V&H tuner . The dyno tech who was highly skilled in tuning even back to the carb days let me know the couple of FP3 tuners that were ok but he explained what some do which went over my head and I could see why Harley is more worried about messing with the ECM than any exhaust change .
How you still liking your slip on exhaust I was wondering when you're going through your gears does it have that little chirp when your shifting real slow if you've ever rode with drag pipes you would know what I mean
Mark Kyle Yeah, I think so too. I did a ton of research, and listened to every set of pipes out there, and they sounded the best to me. I was going for that deep, throaty sound, and they didn't disappoint. :)
Is that rattle normal? It sounds like a 30 year old 4 cyl car with bad tappet rattle.. The slip-ons sound nice and throaty but it still has that high frequency pitched rattle sound.
I have no idea what you're talking about... They sound awesome, and there's no rattle of any kind. Did you listen to the video on your phone? If so, try listening to the video on a quality set of speakers, with a subwoofer. I get lots of compliments on how my bike sounds, from experienced riders who have heard many different bikes over the years.
Love the sound! I have a 2020 FB and was looking for videos of these for my FB and came across yours. Do you feel like you lost a bit of low end torque now that the cats are removed? I know these M8’s like back pressure so am a little concerned about the free flowing baffles.
@@JDNWolverine77 have you heard of a company called Fuelmoto? They are HD aficionados and do a ton of motor builds. Anyway they say I would loose torque right off the bottom, but gain a bit on top. They say this because the CAT creates the back pressure needed for super low end torque and the Rineharts are a open baffle design. Do you recall how the bike felt with the stock slip ons right from the bottom compared to the Rineharts? I just don't want to loose the stump pulling feel of the stock slip ons, but love the way your Rineharts sound.
@@steveg56 All I know is my bike still has plenty of power, from 1st gear, all the way to 6th gear. I'm not a motorhead, or a horsepower expert. I bought them because in my opinion, they're the best sounding pipes on the market. Hope that helps.

Great sound. V&H Eliminator 300 is awesome as well, very throaty.
Reinharts and Eliminator 300's are my faves by a long shot.
Just got em for low rider, waiting for delivery. Excited

why don't they supply with the pipe ? they charge enough ;

Yes, all original slip ons. Sound sooo good.

Is the gasket required for these slip ons or any slip ons?
Hey this is awesome thanks for the post how long did it take to change out
Not long, but I had to go buy those gaskets mid project...
Sounds and looks great! Do you know the model # for these? Also, do you know if you could have reused the original heat shields? Thanks!
What is the size? 3 or 3.5?
Sounds like music nice bike ride safe
Hey there mate. Do you have
a part number for those mufflers? Cheers.
Hey bud. great video and really helpful. Was curious, did you have to get the bike remapped/tuned after putting the slip-on pipes?
Nope, not necessary.

I have the same slip ons for my 2018 breakout 114 . Did you tune it ?

You will need a new gasket for the slip ons, where they attach. Your local motorcycle shop will know what you need.
Merci !
I went to HD Toulon (France) and i buy the 2 gaskets
Hope the Exhaust will come soon

I will too once my warranty is up. They said to wait until then, or it voids the warranty.
Did the miles per gallon change?
I honestly don't know. Should have gotten better if anything would be my guess.
