For 900+$ I really was expecting it to have speakers and good soundbar integrated. And not going the extra mile to make the lights RGB (if needed) seems weird.
I’m getting 2 of the same type of monitors (one vertical and one horizontal) with a matching dual monitor arm but I’m going to DIY build a nice wooden white wrapped desk riser with two shelves, bottom one to put keyboard and mouse when I’m not using them, other shelf to store useful notepads and desk accessories, then the top for sculptures and display
Would love to see this with monitor arms. Especially two monitor set ups. There are way too many choices and they all seem like there's an issue with something. Either can't get both monitors straight or too much wobble or bad mounting
I think it would really depend on the height of the monitors and how close you want them forward. As long as the monitors are higher up, and you don't need the monitors like right in your face, the monitor stands shouldn't interfere? I have it so that my monitor arm raises the monitor up enough so it's floating over the monitor stand
This is the first video I’ve seen from you and it was AWESOME. I was there Hexcal earlier today and I’m glad to see someone actually tried it 😂 Thank you for the stunning review! You’re super charismatic, bro
why needs a monitor stand if you use monitor arms? it's basically more like a shelf to put your keyboard/random stuff under instead of actually useful for your monitor, should have review it with your monitor on it so we can see how stable each of them are, also the $900 one with the top panel would be useless when you need to put your monitor on it
Did anybody catch the utter stupidity of this $900 desk stand that you need a stand with???. A stand you can't have your monitor or tv not even decor on... if you want to access their open from the top storage which is unbelievably small for all that really heavy body (always wanted to park a car on my desk😂). $900 for a heavy box, with with wireless charging & what not even a Hub, lets not forget unnecessary flashing buttons & LED light 😶😆😂 $900. Buying this TODAY❤ 😂😂😂
No. There's nothing that I've found that has AC ports and a cable management section (the two best features of the hexcal studio). There's no alternative so hexcal can get away with the inflated pricetag unfortunately. I don't even know if they go on sale smh!
Ahnestly, great video as I have been looking at a monitor stand as well... also, loving the backdrop with the slatted walls. Did you do this yourself? Did you buy boards like that or had to cut them out and do the staining and everything?
Why you reading my mind??? That video is already recorded and set for next week :-D Check out my description and pinned comment - that's the store (The Wood Veneer Hub) I purchased from.
Haha the leds are really nice…only bc my office is in my bedroom and my wife can’t sleep if I have the lights on late at night but I suck at remembering the keyboard layout
IMHO that makes it too limiting. You can only have it in one position on a desk (where the pole is). With no cut out, you can shift it left or right. But I understand where you're coming from and not sure I've seen anything like that!
Not gonna lie this thing looks bad ass but $900 is a hard pill to swallow even when you got the money $300 sounds more reasonable not gonna say this is $100 or even $200 but I feel $300 or $350 would be the sweet spot
Hexcal is ugly a bulky. Grovemade is overpriced but aesthetics are there. A shelf for $150 is just flat out stupid. The first 2 are cheap looking and the 3rd is decent but still looks cheap. Balolo is decent still expensive but less than the overpriced grovemade. Ugmonk is just a waste of money. Even if I had all the money in the world I’d probably choose Grovemade because of the aesthetics but screw that.
Im surprised Vaydeer dual monitor stand XL isn’t on the list. I bought Vaydeer and its amazing…4x 3.0 USBs wireless charging (15w) and its full metal. Similar WxHxD as Hexcal and 1/9 of a cost. Only problem with these stands are…they dont fit my 49” monitor. 🥹 but it still nice.

"It's really tiny at only 14 inches"
WOWOWOW chill chiiiiill, crazy expectations nowadays.
HAHAHAHA almost spit my banana out. Jesus…why does that sound even dirtier???
I can shell out $50 but not 280 or 800. LOL

Just a tip from a random guy. Consider buying The „Screen Buddy“. With 2 identical monitors it is a really good invest for a clean look
Anker 675 also seems like a solid contender. It's priced in between the Hexxcal and the Aothia. It'd be interesting to hear what you think about it.
Lots of complaints about the flaky usb ports and HMDI port not working.
Hi I was wondering if there are any monitor stands you could recommend me with a similar concept as the hex cal studio but for cheaper??
Would love to see this with monitor arms. Especially two monitor set ups. There are way too many choices and they all seem like there's an issue with something. Either can't get both monitors straight or too much wobble or bad mounting

@@Ahnestly sorry I misspoke. Meant want to see reviews of monitor arms from you in general. Not with these specifically

There're some really nice looking wooden risers in Etsy. Some of them look even nicer than the Grovemade
Just about to move house and was actually just about to start looking for one for myself to replace my duel arm setup, so thank you for this!
I did it just for you ;-) hahaha hope it helps! Let me know what you go with!
Congrats on hitting 50k
I remenber that was a goal of urs.
Thank you!! Next up, 100k!!!

I love this comment. So much.
It looks ridiculous too lol
I like that monitor arm your using. Can you please share the brand info thanks!
got you! Here it is geni.us/eahK9a
Hexcal got superior features, but I wouldn’t mind buying it if they’d have had in more colour variations specially white 🙂
wow the Hexcal Studio stand is next level!
Can you please tell me what you used to build that keyboard? I have to have those keycap colors in my life!
Do you know of any cheap alernatives to the Hexcal Studio?
No. There's nothing that I've found that has AC ports and a cable management section (the two best features of the hexcal studio). There's no alternative so hexcal can get away with the inflated pricetag unfortunately. I don't even know if they go on sale smh!

@@Ahnestly Love it. Looking forward to the video. I plan to do the same thing with my space!
We always had this product, it's called "under the desk" where all the cables r perfectly hid
Would love to know where you put your keyboard cable!
$150 for that grovemade drawer is outrat
Hexcal studio model koto?
great vid but surprisingly, nothing here is worth it imo

@@Ahnestly it's not your fault mah dude don't take the comments to heart, very unhealthy
@@cisjr7376 oh no I think it’s fine you don’t see anything here for ya. Just giving my 2 cents! Appreciate the comment for the algorithm!
Monitor stands are all so short. I would need to stack three of them to get my monitor up to a suitable height.
The monitor stand that cost more than my entire gaming rig 😅 mmmmkay
Where is that keyboard from though lol
are there any monitor stands that have a cut-out for the pole used in a monitor arm that you recommend?
I find monitor stands ugly when used with monitor arms unless they have a dedicated cut-out
IMHO that makes it too limiting. You can only have it in one position on a desk (where the pole is). With no cut out, you can shift it left or right. But I understand where you're coming from and not sure I've seen anything like that!
Hiiiii Dan 💩 you’re my fav tech/chair/desk reviewer!!!
LOLLL 🤣😂🥲
i just want it to hold my monitor, thats all that matters.

Nordeco is a much more budget friendly brand compared to grove made
Great video!
Hexcal is already kinda obsolete integrating only USB A ports on the inside
Yet there's nothing even remotely close to it's level. No alternative.
Secrelab magnus pro 800
Desk riser 900= lolz
if i were to spend 900 bucks on a monitor stand i would spend more on an actual better desk setup to where i wouldnt need that monstrosity
I hear ya...but ya gotta admit...it looks pretty damn sexy on camera
I’m just looking for a monitor arm as well build as Apple.
ergotron hx
My Rig costs 1.1k....

Genuinely no one but the RUclipsrs that Hexcal sent these to have these. Its such a joke.
Lol, what a nonsense - a stand for a price of a whole pc + monitor 😂
where? from Goodwill?

Hm I was looking at the top sellers on Amazon and this one never popped up!
That Vaydeer is nowhere remotely as good as the hexcal.
Fake veneer is called laminate.
Ah I thought all veneer was real wood, but just some super processed crappy wood haha
