    Exceptionally brilliant work, as always Chris. I enjoy watching your videos, I retire in 11 months with 37 years by the time I retire, this is when my last 2 children finish law school. In 36 years , I’ve never worked as any sort of administration, I only made it to Senior Corporal, once I had 14 years in patrol division, however I know some Sargeants, Lts , and even Captains with the metro department that I work with,yet I don’t know if our executive administrators decide about the vehicle equipment, or the traffic civil engineers , they decide for the fire departments etc. However the up-fits, that you fellas design ,are years ahead of how they outfit our patrol vehicles, and the detective vehicles only use factory wig wag headlights & rear alternating, but they do use dual tone 200 watt sirens that they keep from vehicle to vehicle, and they still use the 20 year old Kajack revolving teardrop hologram bulbs (when my dad wax working from 1954-2015 he was still on duty because he worked free as an advisor/uniform police officer. He was 82 when he passed and worked all but 4 months when he died of Agent orange he picked up in Korea , although he was not exposed in Vietnam in 1965, they had already taken out part of his lung due to severe exposure in 1951 Korea, additionally he was burned from the tummy down by his own Marine Recon, thinking he was Chinese because he was a Mexican/American but they saved his life during a severe fire fight) red magnetic lights ,that hook up to the cigar lighter then in the roof or dash, so really they use the exact equipment & radio & computer that was installed in about 5 generations past? But the detective vehicles are always the cheapest Ford, Chevy, Dodge, and the patrol cars are the least expensive & the equipment is passed in from old used car to new police car? According to our union i.e. association they are allegedly able to purchase 31% more new police vehicles, yet they order V-6s no AWD, and the least amenities & truly the cheapest, however we don’t have a pursuit policy ,even though were over 3 million, only this year, in settlements , nowadays the dispatchers must call the State Police, to chase primary vehicles that attempt to abscond (State Police is covered by sovereign immunity & we must allow them to chase criminals because of our limited pursuit policy. Due to numerous liability issues, we can only follow behind without running code, seemingly because of all the law suits for the past years, I bring all this up, because if our cars were outfitted with the awesome equipment that you fellas use, it’s possible that we’d still be allowed to behave like real police officers, and not be getting sued because the cars would be well equipped & civilians wouldn’t be hurt? Sorry for the rhetoric, but it’s truly disheartening when you are okayed to pursue, and you lose the contact ,because the metro administration ordered the smallest engines possible. We could have saved lives if we had V-8s ,and got to stacked calls on the MDT, minutes earlier, it could end up worse & we could be sued for violating fiduciary duty & lack of due diligence, although we have many more patrol vehicles, it’s hurting officer morale & now because of what’s been going on ,throughout the nation, they took our tasers, batons, AR-15 & 870 shotguns & they may possibly switch us to 38 +P+ 38s in 357 SM 686, they changed us in 1991 to 40 caliber Sig Sauers , but things look very bad & new cops look forward to great looking patrol cars like the ones in your videos, but were being culled with our equipment & having to train 3 times more than what has always been mandated since 1873 when our agency was founded? No telling what will happen, but we’re beginning to look like social workers more than cops nowadays, yet I’ll be retiring, in less than 11 months. I truly believe , if we had all our Chiefs ordering great V-8 cop cars loaded with all the upgrades you fellas put into these new V-8 AWD SUVS , we could have made a huge difference, & would of had morale way up? I’m 56, but find myself feeling bad for all these new academy classes that will never get to experience catching up quick to traffic violators, or making it quick to aggravated 911 calls , out-running every single car chase etc.. We can no longer have more than 2 police cars at lunch, dinner, breakfast etc & no more than 3 officers dinning together. I feel like many old timers, still on the job, police ought to be allowed to decide precisely what is required ,in new ordered police vehicles. Thank you sir for sharing all those truly amazing police cars & giving old saddle tramps, like me ,the opportunity to DREAM.

    Oh and I was wondering is their away to customize a siren to have federal signals ultra Hi-lo psyer and thunder siren tones in one siren?

    • @SIRENNET
      @SIRENNET  8 лет назад

      +Brandon Hess You won't be able to load in Federal Signal's tones unfortunately. You could add an auxiliary Federal Signal Siren Amplifier to/in-line with outputs on the Cencom for running different Tones. It's becoming more common to see Dual Amplifiers being used for more Siren Tone selection and output.

    Which is better adding the strobes in the front blinker or under the blinker in the corner?

    • @SIRENNET
      @SIRENNET  8 лет назад

      +Brandon Hess We prefer to Install/Mount the Hide-Away's in the pre-holes in the corner/sides of the Headlight buckets. The Twist-lock and none twist-lock Hide-Away's are simple to Install and offer great side output as there further to the side of the Lights to offer a bit better intersection protection. Using them in the blinker area is also very effective. Some of the Utility Head-lights don't offer a clear blinker lens; some are all Amber- so that effects where Lights can be used based on the Color(s) wanted. They are both great options. Ideally using a Hide-Away in each would be the best :)

    Another question is, My 2015 PI utility does not appear to have any ready for the road wiring installed, But I would like to locate the wires for the 4 steering wheel mounted switches. Is there a specific location where I can find the blunt ends. My PI is a undercover type and has a civilian type of center console. I have looked inside the console but I cant figure out if I have the police 14 way connector there or any wiring plug for me to use. Thanks for any help.

      Ryan Minutello a lot of upfit Vehicles come with additional power considerations inside the vehicle. if I'm not mistaken this vehicle actually has a 100 amp power drop behind and kind of underneath the rear seat. whenever I do an install on a vehicle that I'm not familiar with I look up a wiring diagram.

    I have a couple of Questions for Sirennet or Starcar employees. I have a 2015 Police Interceptor Utility with the factory installed whelen Ion lights installed in the rear of the vehicle. The lights have what appears to be a ford 4 way connector on the ion pigtail, part #connector 8U2Z-14S411-TA. Do you guys know where I can get the male ends for this connector so as to complete the wiring up to my switches. Or do you have any suggestions, or what do you guys do to complete the wiring. Any help from the Pros would be great. T

      @SIRENNET  8 лет назад

      +Tahoe Twin If you give your local Ford Dealership a call, they should be able to assist you with the Connector end. A lot of folks use the Dealerships 'Specialty' Parts offerings. Try to make sure their familiar with the PPV's otherwise things get a bit lost in translation.

      +HMSDaring1 They have their own private facilities where they build there Vehicles. We're not quite sure what the official operating name is.

      @BCSchmerker 8 лет назад

      Don't know about the LAPD, but the State of California prepares all vehicles for the Highway Patrol in-house at the Motor Transport shops in West Sacramento - which I picture as final assembly location for the only motorcycle I know of that can carry all the mandatory hardware for the Consolidated Patrol Vehicle Environment: The 2017-up Harley-Davidson Custom Vehicle Operations CVO FLTPSE-CHP 110, developed from the CVO FLHRSE 110 Screamin' Eagle Road King due to a forced tank mounting of the FLHP certified speedo/tach on account of the sharknose-fairing-mounted RockwellCollins CDU standard for CPVE, which would block view of practically all instruments for the FLTR/X 103, FLTP 107, and CVO FLTRSE 110 Road Glides.

    • @SIRENNET

      +Brandon Hess Tone 3 can be programmed to offer different Tones. Some clients set it to a Hi/Lo Tone while others set it to Mechanical or Warble.
