I was blessed enough to see this band from their start, they were the best Band ever!

Maurice was clearly holding this band to another standard.

Verdine was always my favorite member, he influenced me to start playing bass.
Then it was Rice, Phillip, Dunn and the Phoenix Horns LOL.
This drummer is having some problems...
Maybe it's the backing tracks that are killing him?
Phillip is still a great singer but should leave Rice's songs alone.
They should find a real talented tenor that has the Gospel to do his parts :).
Maurice was not trying to be cool, he was bringing the church to the stage.
Not to mention his phenomenal physical shape!
When you understand that, then you can sing his songs :).
Phillip's son does a pretty good job on Boogie Wonder Land but he needs to get serious and get into the philosophies of Maurice if he wants to excel in that space.

Maybe that's why the the groove is sounding weird? Playing live as a drummer, to play to a backing track is really hard!

I'm SURE the guy singing boogie wonderland is a nice guy, (I know he sang with Whitney Houston), but I can't STAND the guy. He's over the top and looks like he's trying too hard. Maybe it's because I miss the hits lineup, Reese, Phillip, Verdine, Ralph, Larry, Fred, Andrew, Johnny, Al and the Phoenix horns, but this guy bugs the CRAP out of me and I'll NEVER accept him as EWF. Philip's son is NOT that like that or trust" see me" kind off person.
He's has always been high energetic he's living a dream! Who wouldn't want to play with the greatest band ever? EW&F doesn't have a problem with him so why should we. He's been there 26 years. I appreciate and admire the brother, no one should rain on another's person's dream. Enjoy them cause we are losing legends in music quite often.
