Great job dude! I honestly learned more about FL from you than any other source out there. And it's all honest! I was your videos that saved me from a mistake of moving to Lehigh Acres, lol, so I'm forever thankful!
I am African American and I grew up in Miami. I used to see Cubans and whites landing great jobs but all I saw for my people was struggle in low-wage jobs. Though I had a masters degree and graduated at the top of my class from a state university, I could not find livable wage jobs in South Florida as a whole, and Miami specifically. It’s just sad. I had to move to the Midwest in order to live the upper middle-class life that I worked for. I will never live in South Florida again with a local job. Those jobs are typically for Cubans, not for me. Miami is technically a different country, when compared to the rest of the US. I will bring a remote job from a traditionally American part of the country though. I have a lot of respect for Cubans and the opportunities that they have created for themselves and their children, it’s admirable. I just wish that the black community down there worked better with each other to create opportunities for black people too, via starting new ethical businesses, etc.

Miami had a black city manager once, he tried leveling the plain field for African American but was ran out of politics. It's very unfair that someone with your education could not find a job in your city.
I love Miami. I go there as much as I can. I wish I could live there but there are two things that prevent me from living there. 1- low wages particularly in my field (I'm in education) and the traffic. I just can't. I live in central Jersey, I am 12-13 mins to work and as a teacher my salary is not bad.
I have a huge problem with these racial dot maps for so many reasons, but I particularly don't like their use because they imply that Hispanic is a race when we know that it's multi-racial. Hispanic is not a race; it's a term that oversimplifies a group of cultures that have both similarities and differences among them, but all with Spanish as their dominant language. At its core definition, it also excludes Brazilians since they are not Spanish speakers. As a MiamiDade resident, it's very obvious that many of it Hispanic and Latino residents are also White. If you look at the Census data for 2020, more than 79% of the county is listed as White, but only 13.6% of the total identify as White alone (meaning not Hispanic or Latino). In the end, I get that folks like to use data and maps to understand the world around them, but you are spot on that many of the presumptions around that data can't necessarily be applied to Miami-Dade. It simply operates differently than any other city I've lived in across the country.
I am of Haitian/Barbadian decent and get along well with specifically Cubans here in Miami-Dade. If you have a hustle in you and are respectful , color doesn’t matter down here. For the FBA Black community, less marriage means less homeownership, and means less wealth
Little Haiti is facing gentrification and the crime rate is out of control. While traditionalism is still held in high regard in the Caribbean community, there is still an issue with out of wedlock children & lack of 2 parent households. How is that any different than what’s going on in the FBA community? While I agree that having a hustle & being respectful is key & 2 parent homes lead to wealth & it’s an issue with Black Americans, it’s absolutely disingenuous and dangerous to claim “color doesn’t matter” in Miami, FL (apart of the United States) & ignore the similarities in the Caribbean community as well. Meanwhile, Black Cubans and other Black Latinos face discrimination in Cuba and other Latin American countries & within the culture (colorism is a BIG issue) so trying to insinuate this is a lone issue the FBA community faces due to “lack of marriages” & “race doesn’t matter” is untruthful. I would never tell people to walk around afraid and paranoid, but I also would never tell people “race doesn’t matter”. Miami Beach is separate but even that place is a whole ‘nother tale of how it does show its face. Lastly, you do realize that a lot of who people see as “FBA” people from Miami are 4th, 3rd, 2nd generation Caribbeans, correct? A lot of folks are descended from the Bahamas.
It use to be a lot of southern white ppl living in Miami. When the Cubans moved to Miami in the 60s white southerners left moved north to Central or North Florida so they don't have to be around the Cubans. Have been living in Miami for the past 2 years, and I have mixed feelings about the place. For the cons, I don't like the weather, dining is overpriced, and driving here is insane. For the pros, the nightlife is exciting and the many regions and neighborhoods vibe well with me. It's very interesting to learn about all of the ethnic competition in this city's history. All that one drop stuff has to stop or only apply it to the people from which its was intended for and originate from ie african americans. I understand why they get mad, it's attacking their mixed race heritage, cultural norms etc its disrespectful.
MIAMI and SFL in general should find its own identity, I feel like this is the core of alot of problems, the problems when it comes to race relations aren't that there's alot of different people from different areas, but that all those different people have different Identities, if everyone in MIAMI and SFL called themselves Sfloridians instead of "cuban american" or "black Americans" or "white American" people would find atleast one way to feel connected even if they look differently, that happens in alot of South American countries where people don't seperate each other by race, they all see each other as one nation, when we seperate each other like this we are following the system impossed on not just the USA but the whole continents (South America and North America). The problem is all the hard headed American wannabe cubans that kiss the feet of the white elite. If we can overcome those problems we can lead the nation when it comes to improving race relations.
In Miami, your race and or education level is not more important when it comes to getting a better job (in terms of monetary compensation). It all boils down to who you know. Miami is a mafia type city, it all depends on who you know.....
By white, do you mean Anglo Saxons? Hispanic isn’t a race. Just a group of people linked together by language. They are of all races. There are a ton of Argentinians who are white.

If only people knew the true history of Miami smh it's sad how they did/doing the Black American Community that basically help give City of Miami its name
... There are many inaccuracies and errors in the video and it does not speak of the great achievements of the community compared to other parts of the country. We know that there is still much to do but in 1959 Miami was a sleepy town mostly inhabited by retired people and thanks to the arrival of mostly Cubans and the contribution of other communities Miami has become a megalopolis of great global importance and it is the de facto the capital of Latin America in the United States. Miami is our pride and I wouldn't change it for anything ... !!! ... Peace and Love to y'all .. !!!
only thing different from Miami and la is the black gangs dont beef with the mexican gangs. in la thats been going on for decades. in miami i never really known for them beefing.
you cant cross the race line in Miami. Theres too much firepower on both sides. you might not know this as a civilian but in miami specially with cubans you have to respect the other side because crap do get real. Cubans, Haitians, Colombians.. you cant just go touch someone on the other side and not expect consequences. Cubans wont let anyone touch them, and haitians wont forgive you for it, Colombians who dont let it slide.. its not safe to mess with someone else. hood get involved..
Miami isn't safe, traffic deaths here are insane. People go missing all the time. People end up homeless all the time. People are living with 5 other people in tenement apartments. Danger is not just crime, its also a society. I was responding to your video with time stamps and I lost it all because of some stupid youtube glitch. Sorry I couldn't elaborate more, I would've liked to have responded with more elaboration. 33:14 not envy, injustice. The inequality that people try to escape in Latin America will just follow them to Miami.... 33:56 you can't be racist to Americans, American isn't a race. Americans have no understanding of a culture outside their own, that goes for both blacks and whites 36:30 Latins will always be culturally different from americans, just as afro americans will always be. There will never be integration. All we need to do is learn your ridiculous legal system and use it to our benefit. Also, having grown up there, I can say that Miami is NOT the US. It is Miami. I do not culturally identify as American. I am not the same as some New Yorker, or some Ohio Farmer and I don't want to be. 51:17 "long time miamians discover they're not welcome in the the rural areas." Yeah for sure, our culture is forever different. I moved to southern/western europe because the culture is closer to what I grew up with. Its funny, the thing I hate the most about Miami is the American influence, and the thing foreigners hate most about Miami is its exoticness. I really think you've done the Afro american community a disservice by not mentioning Overtown (Black Mecca) and the highways that destroyed it, and other African & Latin urban centres all over the country, but I guess you can talk about that another time. That influenced my decision to leave, as I will not contribute my life to a hostile city and culture that will run me over to save a buck.

I understand why they get mad, it's attacking their mixed race heritage, cultural norms etc its disrespectful.
Dominicans fallow my channel let them speak for themselves dont see them complaining
North Miami Beach becoming Little Argentina.
There are a ton of Argentinians who are white.
go read the definition of race
Hey there .. we have started and channel any tips on how to get subscribers ?
Create videos that will be more relevant in the future than today.
cover all the towns in your area. dont be afraid to say things how they are, dont sugarcoat crap me real.. and dont let bad reviews bother you. learn to use your devices nobody watches cropped out videos or crappy cover photos
@SOUTHERN LIFE I am currently from Maine .. and I did a drive through of the town I am at a while back and a short one just a few days ago ! Just starting out with the videos to see how it all pans out ..
The issue is that in 2025 with the Nina and nino tides, Miami is sinking, like 2 or 3 years is going to sink.
lmao that people actually believe this. let me guess, the same lunatics swearing that the end of the world is happening next week and that we need to tip in the collection jar if we want to be saved
I love Cuban comfort food that's found at holes in the wall in Hialeah, or Peruvian food that's run by immigrants (though those are harder to come by these days as Peruvian food has moved upscale in the city).
upscale peruvian food sucks. I like the REAL
@@FLORIDAHOODVLOGS We've lost a lot of good Peruvian places over the years, and now it's just places like Cvi.Che 105.
@@jlpack62 They're all moving to Broward county.
If only people knew the true history of Miami smh it's sad how they did/doing the Black American Community that basically help give City of Miami its name
The Venezuelan’s are seen as the French of Latin America
Whats that mean?
Wouldn’t that be the Haitians.
If another race were to touch a cuban in a cuban hood it would be catastrophic for the other side. if your cuban in their hood your alone there.
@@FLORIDAHOODVLOGS ahhh okay pretty much the same in la than. just la isnt as diverse as miami i dont think.
@@josejones3312 i think LA is about the same but you got asians in California we barely here
@@FLORIDAHOODVLOGS facts!!!! i work with TONS OF THEM in cali. in fl not really alot i think most are in the orlando area
lots and lots of mistakes in this video, too many to even count.
not surprising from a alabaman that considers florida to be the south. we are not.
Yeah this dude is a 🤡
What about Arabs ?
There is dome at Broward ..
I pray to God i never see any of those in South Florida....
@@trinitymatrix9719people say this about Hispanics all the time 😂😂😂
How are you going to make bold statements about a place you don’t live in? Did you read all this on the internet lol
BS about Louisiana very very very few people speak Cajun. he Cajun is amplified to be something more than it is. In other words its Exaggerated.
We stay getting shitted on smh
Miami isn't safe, traffic deaths here are insane. People go missing all the time. People end up homeless all the time. People are living with 5 other people in tenement apartments. Danger is not just crime, its also a society.
I was responding to your video with time stamps and I lost it all because of some stupid youtube glitch. Sorry I couldn't elaborate more, I would've liked to have responded with more elaboration.
33:14 not envy, injustice. The inequality that people try to escape in Latin America will just follow them to Miami....
33:56 you can't be racist to Americans, American isn't a race. Americans have no understanding of a culture outside their own, that goes for both blacks and whites
36:30 Latins will always be culturally different from americans, just as afro americans will always be.
Man I wish that glitch didn't happen, this was a great write. Thank you for sharing.
