Warcraft 3 on other hand was all over the gaming news exactly because of the insane graphics for the time. If it weren't for those graphics, it might have been a different story. Luckily, what warcraft 3 also had was great story and gameplay which ultimately led to success of world of warcraft in general.
So the Burning Legion guarded the pool with satyrs who would go "bawk bawk bawk bet you're too weak and cowardly to defeat us and take this awesome pool of magic power!" Truly devious!
well, idk, Satyrs can also be affiliated to Olds golds, like Xavius. Their "master" could be someone else, who would rather not see the Legion reach their goal.
Eh, Xavius was originally aligned with the Legion and he got turned into a Satyr by Sargeas. That being said Satyrs are neutral in the sense they aren't outright aligned with any major faction. Many of them did get charmed by the Legion, though. Satyrs in general are addicted to Fel so most likely they sensed the fountain's power and camped there out of their own will instead of the Legion having anything to do with it.
Why Medivh just simply asked for Cenarius' help instead of letting orcs killing him? Cenarius could've helped so much against Archimond and his lackeys, it would be a really interesting tussle tho.
Medivh was once an agent of the Legion (Sargeras' vessel no less) so Cenarius would've probably just decked him. And that's assuming they know each other.
Possibly, but Archimonde is WAY more powerful than Cenarius. Archimonde took out Malorne one on one and Malorne is Cenarious' dad, and a full blown god.
As Mannoroth said, Cenarius rarely appeared in the open and chances are Cenarius would've rejected him on the spot but Medivhs main plan was for the mortal races to take the reins of their fates and to stop depending on guardians, demons or gods, or at least that's what he implies in the ending cinematic.

They need to make this into a movie ASAP. The demigod Cenarius EFFORTLESSLY drove back the orcish invasion of their lands. The orcs drink Mannoroth’s cursed blood and transform into the demonic fel orcs. They return to challenge and slay the seemingly invincible Cenarius
This could of all been avoided if the Night Elves perhaps sent emissaries to Thrall and the Warsong clan instead of going REEEEEE THEY ARE CUTTING OUR TREEEEES and attacking on sight
This could've been avoided if Grommash wasn't a rash hotheaded dumb idiot. Try to do this yourself: Stroll in someone's yard, someone that you don't know and start fucking their shit up to see what they will do.
I was a stupid kid when I played this and just typed whosyourdaddy and let a peon kill cenarius then the cutscene played and was confused when grom was accompanied by 2 huge red grunts while he's green and a bit smaller
why do the night elves feel such hatred towards the orcs? Were they not fighting along one of them ---> Broxigar? in the war of the ancients against the burning legion to what Mannoroth is referring to?
If you like to experiment: if you complete the level without drinking from the pool (only possible with one-hit-kill cheat) orcs will be green in the ending cutscene :) (though Grom's orcs be red later). I could not (and still can't) understand why trolls were looking the same way? Even if they stayed, which is pretty strange.
I have came up with a conclusion that makes more sense. It seems like they don't have to drink pit lord blood to change color. In the WoW movie, Gul'dan was able to force Blackhand to have the fel by zapping fel into him .After that, Blackhand was mostly green, but was not the same skin tone as the other orcs. Perhaps the green color comes from pit lord blood infused with fel Magic from guldan. Blackhand was only partially green because he didn't drink the blood that was infused with guldans fel Magic. When they consume pit lord blood without the fel Magic, they turn red. That is what I have observed and seems to be an explanation that makes most sense.
Hm, an interesting observation. I suppose it could be the case. After all, they generally talk about the fell making them green, not Manaroth's blood in particular.
Retconned stuff. Although, you can justify it with original Orcs being reddish-brown, after drinking the first time they become green, and after the third they become demonic red. We'll see what happens in WarCraft: Reforged
The answer is two fold. The reason why they’re green. When you’re exposed to fel magic, you become green. Orcs, who were naturally brown skinned became green due to exposure to fel magic in Draenor- this is why Garrosh, in spite of being born in Draenor and his father, is brown due to lack of exposure to fel magic in Nagrand (the zone with the least exposure to fel magic). On the other hand, Thrall who never drank the blood himself is green instead of brown due to exposure to fel magic thus changing his skin colour. The reason why they’re red. Take a look at Eredar Warlocks in Warcraft 3 and Archimonde and Kiljaeden who have red skin. All are former Draenei like Velen who are inherently blue skinned. Accepting the power of fel magic, as opposed to just being exposed to it, turns you Red. Thus, the same thing happens here with Grom and the Warsong clan. They went from brown (natural skin colour)>green (exposure to fel magic)>red (full acceptance of fel magic)
Warcraft 3 is the magnificent game, but I felt Grom being desperate enough to use a forbidden power for victory, granting him a great strength, but at the cost of corruption, felt the same as Arthas taking Frostmourne to fight undead.
S L It was never the blood of mannoroth that turned them green in the games. Orcs turn green when exposed to fel magic for a long time. They don't even have to actually use it themselves, simply being near it long enough will do. But the closer their connection to the fel, the faster they change color. What mannoroth blood did was enslave them and warp their mind giving them tremendus strenght but also an uncontrollable rage. For example Saurfang talks about killing dranei women and children while even enjoying it when under the effect of the blood. And if exposed to a lot of it they turn red (for ex. hellfire orcs in TBC). So although all orcs are capable of feeling a type of bloodlust. The orcs under mannoroth blood has it multiplied and almost makes permanent and turn them cruel (wipes any kind of morality or honor code). So in conclusion the green is due to being exposed to fel magic in some way or another. Either through direct use or simply being close to others using it. Mannoroth blood is of course filled with fel because he is a high serving pitlord of the burning legion, but its the actual fel that causes the change in color and not the blood component.
Hey I'm having issues with the sound constantly screwing up and the mini cinematics such as this skipping all the dialogue to like the last line, was wondering if you had these issues during you playthrough and how you fixed it? Thanks.

Yeah right? It bugs me so much that Blizzard made him drink the blood AGAIN despite the fact that it was literally THE WORST THING ORCS EVER DID in the first place XD. It was Grom who did it first back on Dreanor so he should know how bad and stupid is the idea to drink some random demonic blood AGAIN while their all race was enslaved because of it before (additionally, all of them still felt the curse's bad influence). explain me this please, mannoroth says something like "you wont fail the burning legion again" and grom says he was corrupted already. can someone remind me, what was their previous pact or how was he corrupted already? isnt this the first time he drank his blood?
No, the orcs drank Mannoroth blood prior to their invasion of Azeroth. Their first test was to wipe out the Draenei on Dreanor. After they succeeded, Sargaeres manipulated/controlled Medivh to help open the Dark Portal, with Gul'Dan on the other side. All of it was for the Burning Legion to use the orcs to defeat the Night Elves. Because the Night Elves beat the Burning Legion ten thousand years ago.
Why are the orcs suddenly red after drinking mannaroths blood once again? They are supposed to be brown but are green for drinking it in the first place
@@pf5846 Because when the orcs drink too much demon blood they become Chaos Orcs and also much times stronger but they literally lose their minds to rage and become basically blind demons.
Not a good question. Mannoroth was the first pit lord we saw, He was the one they took for the invasion. Not the first time Mannororoth went with them either. Because right now it just feels like Blizzard has always been bad at creating characters that don't think or act like a resonable human would and that has always lead to trouble when you're supposed to sympathise with them.
He can disobey, Gul'dan is the most corupted orc in history and he tried to betray his masters. Part of him just doesn't want to, it's like an addiction. But Orc do indeed tend to take bad decision in such situation.
Same effect, and if Gul'dan is not good enough for you there's a whole clan, the dragonmaw who betrayed the Legion to serve first Illidan, then the twilight hammer. They could betray despite being far from the smartest Orcs in Draenor or Azeroth.

Because right now it just feels like Blizzard has always been bad at creating characters that don't think or act like a resonable human would and that has always lead to trouble when you're supposed to sympathise with them.
The blood drank enslaves gromm and the orcs to servitude. He can't disobey while in that state
Francis-Olivier Toba well, you said "act like a reasonable human", Grom isn't a human tho 🤔
He can disobey, Gul'dan is the most corupted orc in history and he tried to betray his masters.
Part of him just doesn't want to, it's like an addiction.
But Orc do indeed tend to take bad decision in such situation.
Azeroth Gul'dan never drank the demon blood, he just used the fel which turned his skin green, Only Draenor AU Gul'Dan drink the blood of Mannoroth.
Same effect, and if Gul'dan is not good enough for you there's a whole clan, the dragonmaw who betrayed the Legion to serve first Illidan, then the twilight hammer.
They could betray despite being far from the smartest Orcs in Draenor or Azeroth.
so he was green before drinking the blood... so why in the cinematic of warlords of draenor he appears as red before drinking the blood?
they're brown in the cinematic
xLetalis why the hell would they be brown?
that's their original color, like in the warcraft movie and wow (if you go to outland)
orcs werz first brown after drinkinf the demon blood they became green and here since they drink even morz blood grom and his mens became fel orcs (red skinned orcs found in outland hellfire peninsula)
but as you can see hellscream is green in this cutscene, why is he brown in the warlords of draenor cinematic?
