- Here in Alabama, we have 4 species of bass that are found nowhere else on Earth. Each bass is not only genetically distinct, but specialized to the unique waterways they inhabit. At the same time, each bass faces a conservation threat.
Matt Lewis and MB Meeks embark on an adventure to catch all four in one day-- the redeye bass slam -- while also championing the conservation of the species along the way.

Beautiful topography!
Great video from a fellow Jasperinion
BASS FISHING?! WITH A FLY ROD?! Never heard of such a thing.
Y'all crazy.
Is it even called fly fishing at that point??
All around excellent video. From the science to the artistry and all things between.
Thanks, Andrew. Really appreciate the kind words! It was a privilege to work on this one.
Awesome video. Great editing as well!
Thanks Reid! It’s been a long time coming. Thrilled to get it out there and rolling
Lets go! Good stuff!
Thanks so much man 🤙
Great video guys
Thank you!!
Yewwww BammaJamma!
🤙 🤙
RUclips is offering to translate this to English for me 🤣
@@BlueLineCo "Translate to English" might be the most offensive thing hurled at a southerner we've seen in awhile
Great video. Thanks. Beautiful rivers. What were those white flowers in the river? We dot have those here up aroundI toledo.
Thanks, Eric! Those are Shoal Lillies (better known as "Cahaba Lillies" around here). Super interesting species that is worth the Google deep dive if you're curious!
Thank you. I used to be addicted to fishing. Now I'm addicted to native plants
Awesome video! Which of the redeyes are your favorite? I'm kinda partial to the Warrior myself, love catching those guys!
Warrior bass make you *earn* it so much respect for you there!
It's a tough call for us-- Coosa bass have such a wide range in beautiful areas, Tallapoosas have such a striking coloration... and then Cahabas would *technically* be our home fish.
So can we cheat and say... it depends on the day?
@dorsaloutdoors I love them all too, the Warrior is my home fish so I may be a little biased! I can be at a creek that has them in a matter of minutes!
