the only problem of the West is if they see a progress in China... they consider it as a threat.... competition is always beneficial for the consumers
@pace kenelm ok bot...as longs as china copies and steals everything from usa, it cant even be considered as a candidate in anything
@@magicmagus1459 but it doesn’t copy everything that’s the thing
@pace kenelm 1. Advancement builds from former theories, yes..but this has nothing to do with China stealing ip from US universities, hacking us government agencies, copying US military tech
2. Except China sends literal spies and government CCP employees to take advantage of a free and open US system whereas one cant even enter china without registering with the nearest police station
3. Virtually no one other than China has this clause of tech transfer. Basically, it is a means for China to copy of the naval of hard work and research done by the US and profit of it by replicating it for a cheaper price. No country other than China engages in such absurd behaviours...
Considering ur a bot paid by Cjina, ur arguments r weak. They should fire u, stop embarrassing urself. China will never surpass US as long it keeps trying to unfairly profit of off US tech advancement and innovation.
China will have hard time exporting it planes just like cars.
No one thinks in terms of east/west except for those in the CCP who are still suffering from the psychological scars of what the CCP had done to its own people. The greatest threat to the Chinese has always been its own government; the Cultural Revolution was evidence of that, and is why my family fled from China to the United States.
Had it not been for "the west".... china wouldn't even exist. And if it weren't for the United States, China wouldn't even be relevant. CCP literally and figuratively bites the hands that feed, when they refuse to obey the agreed upon rules of international law. This is 2021. China behaves like its 1821.

I am not generally a fan of the way China conducts its business (often with heavy government involvement), however, I do not see that much of a problem here. For Airbus and Boeing, this is a call to action. For the rest of us, this is a good thing. More competition; perhaps something that will get the two duopolistic incumbents to kick it up a notch. This is the kind of thing we need. As far as government involvement is concerned, that is simply the nature of this kind of business. As we have seen, the French government, EU and US governments are all very much involved in the business of their respective companies. These are not commoditized products that government involvement will lead to market distortion like it would in steel or fabrics.
Does the CCP mandating Chinese airlines to buy COMAC planes sound like free market competition to you?
@@Mighty221187 certainly not. I agree with you there. However, the Chinese local market is far from the free market. I would never expect it to be. The CCP drives out foreign companies all the time.

China buys hardly any manufactured goods from more efficient producers in Bangladesh, basically buying only raw materials and a smattering of raw materials
In the 21st century, many of the most technologically sophisticated products simply cannot be produced in a single country because it's impossible that any single country can possess all the technological know-how and the entire component supply chain. For example, this applies to the aerospace industry and also the semi-conductor industry. Economic Nationalism is a dead-end proposition for any country that wants to practice it.

64% of China's C919 is manufactured by itself, and 36% is imported. From the interior and cost price, C919 is definitely more advantageous. All it needs now is market verification and Recognition.
True. But I think the evil Joe Biden will instruct the FAA to disqualify the C919 (and all other planes coming in future from China) forever.
Leaders of China know it is IMPERATIVE for China to successfully develop its own advanced turbofan jet engines, the various avionics control systems, the avionics software, AND most importantly, the most advanced semiconductor CPUs and other vital chips. Otherwise, the danger of sanctions and sabotages by the USA hangs like the Sword of Damocles over China.
Using Western control equipment onboard is especially dangerous since they could be manipulated by sinister elements in the Western world under instructions from the USA. Crashes can easily be initiated by the CIA and the likes.
