This video is really cool, but i have to say the foil has always been wrapped around the sweet underneith the cellowrap. @@MrPixiepantz I had to stop the video when he dumped in the hazel nuts. The chocolate is literally in the shape of a brazil nut. The packaging is even in the shape of a brazil nut. Hazel nuts and brazils don't even taste all that similar. (going to keep watching and hope he addresses this bc it's irking me lol)

We don't have them in our normal stores but our local K-Mart had imported excess stock from the United Kingdom after Christmas and I have just fallen in love with them. Thankfully staff has told me that they are bringing in stock in time for Christmas because it was so popular.

What I love about this channel is I'm from south africa and most of these types of videos we can't do as we don't have the same ingredients but we do have the same as the UK like golden syryp. And quilaty streets and crunches
For future projects with thin fillings like these, spread the tempered chocolate on parchment paper then flip it over onto your mold. It clings to the paper to keep it from sinking while it sets. This also gives you a nice, smooth base to your chocolate.

Ah yeah, South Africans in the comments! Quality Streets have been a Christmas tradition for as long as I can remember. They would melt if we left them on the table outside for too long, because Christmas is in summer, obviously.
I'm an American now but I was born in the UK. I occasionally buy quality street on Amazon. Green triangle is one of my favorites. I think I like the Cadbury heros more. I live in Washington State (Seattle now - yes like Starbucks!) But I grew up in Tacoma which is about 45 minutes south depending on traffic, and in Tacoma they make a sweet called Almond Roca which is really delicious. It's a sort of English toffee kind of treat. We have some local chocolate too in the area. But obviously coffee is something we're especially known for!
As soon as you opened that tin, I could smell it. Quality Street are popular in Canada around the holidays as well. When I still ate dairy, I preferred Celebrations. I worked at a candy store and imported UK Christmas chocolate was the best.
My niece loves you video, shes four and is wanting to be a cook like you every recipie you make she wants us to try. Also the flight of the navigator i have been thinking on that classic, but couldn't think of the name thank you.
We also have this in Canada. There would always be a tin at my grandma's house around Christmas time. It has been a very long time since I've had those chocolates.
Quality streets are great for the family. I have a tip for you. When you need to keep something level that say.. cant fit into a container like you did here. Rice.. container of rice. Like in a baking pan or something. Add enough to make it pretty deep and it should keep it level if its deep enough.

I made caramel to fill a cake with on the weekend and it would have been a perfect consistency for this! Its 200g butter 200g brown sugar and a 375g...i used a 395g tin of condesed milk. Its like a firm but spreadable consistency and tastes amazing!
