    In other news, 40 something single mother of two can’t figure out why high value man won’t commit to her.
    The people who come across negatively in that article are the women - particularly the author and the “Sarah” character (wants this all made public, but not her own name). Going through his phone, reading his journal, plotting against him with other exes she went out and found, peering through his window, trying to trace license plate of a car in his driveway. This is stalker, abusive, gaslighting behavior. Woman is probably borderline. I’d bet if anything she twisted his arm for the IVF embryos (obviously we can’t know that, but her reproductive hourglass had about 3 grains of sand left in it his had plenty, logically she’d be the one pushing to keep the options open) I hope there’s enough for a defamation suit, but probably not.
    Imagine the exact same story, only reverse all the genders. Male author writes hit piece on female influencer, slut shaming her for dating non exclusively, calling her a flake for having trouble keeping up with myriad commitments, interviewing past boyfriends including one who rummaged through her phone, read her journal, peered in her window, traced license plates, gaslit her etc. Who would the mainstream then be holding out as the villains?

    Several women were mentioned in the Intelligencer magazine. Yes, Huberman realized his mistake dating a single mom long term. Plus, the article states that he had a hang up with her about her having had kids with another man and other things that were not mentioned. I speculate that she revealed too much of her sexual history including her notch counts. Had to be high. No doubt at her advanced age she was still very attractive because he allegedly initially contacted her via Instagram. But I think he was trying to find a way to get out of the relationship because he had too many offers on the table. I would also add, with the exception of the aforementioned single mom featured, the other women in the article complaining were casual relationships/one offs. In sum, all bitter that they didn't win the prize - an alpha male successful and financially rich. Now, they finally realize they are part of a harem when dealing with high value Alphas.

As an example, My spouse's friend was showing us a music video about some jilted ex contact of the members of the band Die Antwoord (South African Hip Hop band really popular on youtube) trying to do this very thing. My spouse's response was that he doesn't care about other people's private lives, especially those whose music he likes, and I respect that so much.

Still, that’s between him and the women who expected a super healthy, super successful, super famous, probably super wealthy and subjectively good-looking unmarried man with no kids to be monogamous with them. @Teamshmo Actually, he has a pattern of lying and being controlling with both men and women. There's a (male) reporter who was stood up several times. He had even learned how to scuba dive because Huberman had invited him on a trip to see sharks, but Huberman cancelled at the last minute. He also wasn't just "dating" women. He was living with one and trying to get her pregnant through IVF, while at the same time having relationships with other women. If he wants to date multiple women, that's his right, but be honest about it. It's not right to go around telling women that you're exclusive with them while that's not the case. If he's such a great catch, according to Rich, women should be OK with him not being exclusive.

    • @Teamshmo
      @Teamshmo 6 месяцев назад +1

      @@lynnferry291 they thought they were exclusive with him. He probably never said a word about this. That's why they got pissed. It's the same with any other rich guy. Girls want them and get upset when they find out he doesn't just want them. They try to blame and shame him for it, but dating girls isn't a crime. He did nothing illegal. They are just pissed they couldn't lock him down. Has nothing to do with the quality or content of his work. Also, the shark guy can only control his own actions. When dealing with busy people sometimes you gotta cancel. Ya, it sucks when someone cancels, but that's life. Too many people seem to think they own this guy and he supposed to take care of them. He's living his life. They need to live theirs. They need to stop wanting him to bend over backwards to make their lives better at the expense of his life

      @@Teamshmo He actually admits to being exclusive with his 'main' girlfriend - the one he was living with and trying to get pregnant. The article also mentions Stanford colleagues (all men) saying that Andrew is flaky and unreliable. BTW, most of this happened before he became famous or had even started his podcast. When there are 10 people saying that he is not trustworthy, I think it's safe to say that Huberman is the problem, not everyone else. Where I do agree with you is that it really doesn't have an impact on what he says in his podcast. The article implies that if he conducts himself badly in personal and professional relationships, how is he to be trusted as a public figure (he apparently peddles some vitamins of some sort), but I'm not convinced. Personally, I'd never even heard of him before this article came out and I have no intention of listening to him now.

    From a theological point of view, that is why Christianity is so important for the West if we want to make it, to prevent us from being reduced to our lowest basest animal urges and impulses, and to prevent hypergamy from taking over monogamy, unfortunately, in order to get to that point, we will need a major collective resurgency of faith, which is hard to come by these days as men and women believe only in hedonism, individualism, liberalism and materialism.

    The NY Magazine postulated that if Andrew actively deceived multiple women regarding their relationship status, then perhaps his research and health advice may not be trustworthy.
    These are actually inversely correlated - his ability to provide trustworthy, science-based advice to his audience is *the reason* for his increasing status and sexual appeal.
    This article has done him a favor. The slate is clear. Now he can continue dating non-monogamously with women fully aware of his dating “style” . Women who want him can try to lock him down knowing full well what they are getting into.
    It will be interesting to see if the types of women he likes: intelligent, interesting, successful -
    and who likely have many “feminine empowerment”-oriented friends - will still want to date him. I think they will.

    Shit, if you have options and don't want to be monogamous, great... but don't move in with a person who wants a commitment and then try to blame them when they're upset that you're with other people....Most couples when they move in with each other assume that they're monogamous unless otherwise talked about...And it should be talked about so that people are making informed decisions. It's the decent thing to do. If you want to sleep with others, break up, move out or have a conversation about opening up the relationship.
    I love being intimate with my "successful and attractive" partner and a lot of the passion comes from communicating well and being vulnerable with each other. It also helps knowing that my sexual health is protected. If I choose to take a risk, I want to be fully informed...not, sorry you have throat or cervical cancer because your successful partner felt entitled to sleep with whomever they wanted because they could and you were having unprotected sex because you felt it was safe...Just be upfront/honest/don't move in with someone who wants a commitment and then sleep with others. Common sense.
