Much appreciated! I found a pdf of Satie's piano score, which seemed daunting on guitar in F minor. Your arrangement is brilliant - allows me to devote my focus to the grace notes and the musicality of the piece. Thank you!
Thank you for this wonderful piece. I'm literally learning it now. I didn't know how to hold the guitar, but I learned thanks to you and I'm at good levels. Thank you from Syria and Lebanon❤❤
only took a couple hours to learn thanks to this video. Will continue to practice to make it sound better. thank you for your splendid + easy to learn teachings!
"The etymology of the word gnossienne is contentious, but the word existed in French literature before Satie's usage, and is in the 1865 Larousse Dictionary, referring to the ritual labyrinth dance created by Theseus to celebrate his victory over the Minotaur, first described in the "Hymn to Delos" by Callimachus." ;) Thanks for the great lesson anyway!
Hello Robert.I am interesting why does your right hand twitch so much, it's not as steady as other classical guitarists.I have problem with my right hand especially with the a finger, I can't calm my hand, my fingers tends to spasm.Dont know what to do ...
Hello! You should try and keep your hand still. Actually, the most important thing is to keep it relaxed. You don’t want to build up damage. Mine bounces because I have some ligament damage from a baseball injury and it is because of that
hey sir its me again thankyou for tutorial and i have a request.... Can you make a tutorial video of The Song of the Golden Dragon by Estas Tonne? There not a single proper tutorial of it so i thought since you are perfect guitar teacher you could do it... Thank you.
I record with two Rode NT1-A mics that go into pro tools through a Presonus audio box. I record the video and audio separately and then I combine the two in Final Cut. I hope this helps, let me know if you have questions
@@RobertLunn absolutely that helps! I love the tone you have. So do you use an acoustic amp and put the mic to that or just room mics to pick up the guitar? And then I'm guessing you add the reverb in post?
@@nickguitarfreak17 I actually keep the mics as close as possible to me without being in the video shot because I don't want to get the sound of the room that I am in. It doesn't sound good naturally. I do add reverb to the finally performance of it. I use a plugin called Redline Reverb. In a live setting I prefer to be mic'd up. Occasionally I will plugin but I don't have a special acoustic mic. I will use my Cordoba acoustic/electric and plug straight into a battery powered cube amp

Oh wonderful!!
It's those "grace" notes, hammer ons and pull offs in a minor key is the beauty of this song. This haunting melody is mysterious.❤
👏👏👏👏👏
It is such a beautiful song!
One of the most haunting melodies ever. Well done!! It has been on my ( LONG) list for years. This will help. Thx
Good luck, Dan!

I've been saying the title wrong for thirty years, oh well! Great playing and lesson as usual Robert, many thanks.
Me too. But who knows, maybe we're not, for it's an invented word by Satie himself, so dear knows how it's meant to be pronounced!
I was too! I looked it up before I shot the video.
- Erik Satie, I like. I play it every day when I hear the new Corona numbers. Then makes a little more depressive. THX

What equipment do you use for recording? Do you record using a mic on an amp or direct in to the computer?
