What is one to say - when three passions intertwine - the imagination of Satie - the craftsmanship of Friederich - the artistry and soul driven creativity of Kulikova - it's like sipping sonic champagne.
Irina being excellent as usual. I have enjoyed her interpretation and playing for all her videos so far. I really like her style, always staying true to the piece yet injecting intense emotion. More please!
Few days ago for the first time I found out about Irina’s playing. I’ve been watching all the videos of Irina Kulikova since - it is mesmerising. What an emotional rollercoaster and greatest pleasure to listen to and watch her impeccable performance.
That's what I love so much about classical and romantic music. You can interpret and play the pieces in so many ways. I prefer the Gnossienne No.1 with a slower tempo, but it's still very beautiful like this.
I just love Erik Satie, and somehow Gnossienne No. 1 works incredible well for the classical guitar, though it is of course a piano piece originally. Once again, Irina just excels and performs both flawless and with great emotion still. Bravo!
Thank you 🙏 You know… Interesting thing is with Satie…: only when you completely let go of any of your ideas and thoughts: only then it works ✨ miracle ❤️
Wow. Been playing juey over a year now and this is one of the first pieces I learned. Irina's interpretation is a perfect example of how much difference there is between playing a piece and nailing a piece. I got work to do!
Merveilleusement traduite et jouée, cette première gnossienne de notre Satie national né à Honfleur et qui a vécu et repose en notre commune. Individu aussi farfelu que profond et novateur. Très beau ! Bravo !
This performance comes across so richly. In addition , this is the best sounding guitar I have ever heard Irina play, apart from her personal instruments.
Hello Ms. Irina. I would like to convey my own praise, as many others have, of your delightful, magical talent and skill. A brief context. I happen to adore Satie, and equally Chopin's Nocturnes. One day I discovered genius pianist Dinu Lipatti playing Chopin's Nocturne Opus 27, No.3, in D Flat Major. I was stunned by his unique artistry. One of my hobbies ( I am a guitarist and music lover myself ), is to compare the interpretations of pieces that I love on RUclips, and interestingly even Arthur Rubenstein's recording didn't begin to compare to Dinu's sublime performance. I wanted you to know, I felt the same way about your playing of Gnossienne No. 1. Wow, sister. The feel, the timing, the pace, the dynamics, the nuances in your attack, all of it, really, are beyond words. The art you bring to the piece, is, let's suffice to say, exquisite. I am so ecstatic to have it to enjoy. I hope I can convey adequately, it's beauty is unmatched by any of the great Classical players out there. I would imagine you don't need any encouragement, so allow me to thank you for your dedication and accomplishment. Truly magnificent artistry.
Thanks a lot Irina. As a classical guitar enthusiast that I am(and a mediocre player) I really enjoy watching your videos and I have been sharing those with my dad who is a new fan of yours.Greetings from Costa Rica
This guitar couldn't fit the piece better. A bass not as deep as the Torres guitars used for the Tarrega pieces, but a much more piercing treble really does rock the mind into the impressionistic space that Satie envisioned as he wrote this piece. Fantastic playing too.
Great fidelity. High end guitar with rich resonant tone. However, I personally prefer this piece played in a more haunting, almost monotonous, tempo. The sudden halts and starts and facial contortions are distracting. Yet, I enjoyed it and will seek out your other videos. Overall, high marks.
Las notas, el tiempo están bien sólo que siento que la intención no es la correcta. Al escuchar la obra al piano, la melodía nos hace incluso llorar y aquí los golpes a las notas no hacen brincar o sobresaltarse
Irina is on another level. Amazing musician, guitarist !!!
the perfect trio: Satie, Kulikova and Friederich.
By far one of the very best interpretation of this piece of music.
Just amazing.
What is one to say - when three passions intertwine - the imagination of Satie - the craftsmanship of Friederich - the artistry and soul driven creativity of Kulikova - it's like sipping sonic champagne.
🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤❤ thank you 😊
That Friederich sounds wonderful!
One of my favourite contemporary guitarists

❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
THANK YOU 🙏
This is something so rare, a classical guitarist who communicates ideas and emotion the same way a great blues musician does; bravo!
Thank you
Direi che tutti i bravi chitarristi classici lo fanno… come tutti… che razza di commento
Thanks Irina for a beautiful music! 🌻🌻🌻

Ой, спасибо. Отдыхал где-то на греческом берегу пока играла музыка.
Good place to do so.

What a beautiful performance... The stuff of dreams... 🎶 Thank you so much, Irina!

Gorgeous!!! You make Satie sing so beautifully!! I’m sure Satie himself would be pleased with guitar for this music.🤍
Great sound and lovely vibrato!!

You have a wonderful touch, the dynamic range of your interpretation is much more subtle that most can manage. Thank you.
Superb playing and recording of guitar sound
Irina, your insight of this exotic, beautiful piece, and it's execution is perfect. You touch the listener's soul and make them feel something.

I looks like an easy piece to play but only a true professional can interpret it like that
Thank you 😊
