In today’s Vlog we’re getting ready for our Puerto Vallarta trip! We’re shopping for must-have summer vacation essentials as well as some summer outfits.

love watching your tech reviews! i saw the insta360 camera and thought it looked really cool but recently bought the dji pocket 2 and can't justify another smaller camera atm (would probably go for a larger camera next). also, curious to hear your final review on the stanbyME. i'm intrigued but can't tell if i would just use it like a glorified laptop 🤣
I've heard a lot of good things about the DJI pocket 2! And omg, I love the StanbyME lol... it's 100% a glorified rolling RUclips for me hahaha and I love it!
@@MikeeRogers i love the dji pocket 2 so far! it's a bit more fragile than a gopro or something similar but i'm enjoying. & love that, sounds like the stanbyME is ideal for me as well 😆

And the GoPro batteries. I had an awful time with battery swelling. And I don’t treat them badly.
I have the dji osmo action 3 and love it. I sold another camera to find purchasing the insta360go3. I LOVE it!
A huge selling point for me was the ability to monitor what I record if I remove the go3. And the simplistic nature of the magnets.
Same here, didn't use them and was out of the camera, it also swelled
Nice! I almost got the osmo action 3 but waited out for this GO 3. Been using it a lot and not a single freeze, don’t miss that about my GoPro!

that's a big van. loving the go 3. i have one myself. just bought it a week ago. question, while you were using the go 3 on your hike, did you use an external mic or that's the go 3's internal mic?
Everything on the GO 3 was internal mic. Was surprised myself at the audio especially since it was quite far on the selfie stick

He likes to take walkthrough vids outdoors and in the car/motorcycle but he's not into editing at all, he just trasfer the videos to his laptop. So which one do you think is good for him Go 3 or Gopro hero 11? I'm so confused 😅
Hi! I would actually recommend the GoPro for this as its learning curve is much easier and simple! It’s also one camera, click record vs two units. And the files straight out of the GoPro are ready to use! Great gift and hope your dad enjoys!

Hey! I still love it! Honestly I haven't used it as much just because ive been testing/using other cameras but this was a great reminder to put her to use lol.

Thank you so much for the review/real life vlog! I'm mainly curious about the battery life. What was your experience with it? Did it last you all day? How much was left in the tank or did you need to charge the base at any point? Looking to use the Go 3 for BTS of my work and travels. Thank you!
Hi there! First of all, your wedding videos are amazing - where are you based? I'm married but never had a ceremony - if we ever did, I'd love to have you on my short list for videographers!
As far as the GO 3 - the battery lasted all day for what I was using it for - which was a second cam. I also brought it with me to Mexico and it was so convenient to take out, pop on a small stick or place on my chest. So good and discreet for traveling. Had it on my hat as well.
Not sure how extensive you'd use it but if you find the battery isn't enough... you can bring a small portable battery in your pack, then you can charge up the pod to get more juice and you can still use the camera itself as the pod is charging.

The image quality is very beautiful. Have you adjusted the image quality in your editing software?
No adjustment other than using my LUT that I place on all my footage. Really surprised (in a good way) at how the 2.7k looks.

Hi! Hmm, I think it's awesome for on the go content but for a lot of sit down chat videos, the audio isn't the best and quality starts to suffer at lower light. I might stick with a phone over this or a dedicated camera for that type of content!

In your opinion, insta go 3 and dji action 4, what are more reliable in term of quality of the footage ?
If you’re going for pure quality, I’d probably go with the DJI action 4. The Go 3 can only shoot in 2.7k which is still pretty good but 4k is much more clear. Plus the action 4 does well in low light. The go 3 is more versatile and a super fun camera to use. Hopefully the 4 will have a higher resolution!

I use the Sony ECM-B10 on my ZV-E1 and no external mic on the Go 3 footage

I used free frame in most of the clips!
Hi Mikee. Can you share your go3 settings? Was stabilization set to high when you were running?
Hey there! I'm shooting in auto with vivid picture profile. In terms of stabilization, I was using flow state and unless I'm missing something, I don't see any stabilization settings when in flow state. Hope that helps!

I'm doing my research on the camera and was like, that's North Park!! Do you find yourself shooting in free frame mode a lot for the video?
Hey! Good eye haha. Yea I pretty much always shoot in free fame mode. At first I thought it was annoying that I had to go into their software to export the files but then I realized it's great to do that because I'm only exporting portions of the clip so it helps save save on my hard drives. Especially if I'm walking or something and recording for 5 minutes, I only really need a few seconds of footage)

@@MikeeRogers I got my passport and am planning moving abroad and just doing vlogs living, photography videos and just getting people inside my life. I’m 50. Vegan. I have many cameras but I never use any of them and don’t do anything because I don’t want to carry them anymore. Just want in my pocket. Make sense? I had a stroke and my words gets messed up.
how do you combat the slow transfer speeds? fore a full card it takes like 3 hours.,....
I did notice transfer speeds were pretty slow but I have a habit of dumping/backing up footage the same or next day so I never really have a ton sitting there.
My process is shoot, backup and format usually within a day or two.

have you tried connecting your go3 via usb to your phone?
@@franklinrufino doesn't work. You can only direct wifi. Then you lose wifi access it sucks.
the only reason I want this is so I can mount it on my husband's or my son's shirt so I can be in any videos. Im the photographer and videographer in the family and im not always in any photos and videos and I want to change that. 😅

Hi Cathy! One of our best friends, his husband is turning 50 so there’s a group of us going to celebrate. Aiko is still a puppy troublemaker so we were uneasy about having a sitter watch her 😭
What are the settings used
Hi there. I usually shoot in free frame so I can crop and trim the clips as needed. I also shoot in 2.7k, 30 fps. Hope that helps!
@@MikeeRogers I had a confusion I was stuck upon a decision whether to go for insta360 go 3 or dji action 2 to make voiceover minivlogs about my weight loss transformation with some pov shots of me gymming and playing sports such as baseball and table tennis which one would give me a better wholesome experience
@@prakharsaxena7217 Hey, congrats on your weight loss journey. I'm not sure which camera would be better suited for you because I don't have any experience with the DJI Oslo Action 2. I do know that the Action 4 has a pretty good mic so that might be something to consider as well.
Can connect insta360 go 3 with AirPods (mic)?????????? So can record with mic same time???
I don't believe you can unless there is an adapter I'm unaware of.
