@EatSleep360 you are quite correct. I can ship it to China for repair or to be thrown away and replaced. Either way, I lose what's on it and will not get another one in time for the holiday I bought it for.
Again, awesome video review Rich! I have one weird question... do you have the action mod that came with the gopro/tripod convertible mount? Independent of the answer my doubt is underneath this... If insta360 made different boxes like the one R twin, to the 1 inch and ultimate, on the GO3 if the boxes outside are the same, I'll get the regular version instead of action with the 3rd party support... (sorry for the testimonial 😅)
New pivot stand SUCKS. The go 2 pivot was so much more versatile. Could stick it on car or airplane window. Why did they change the go 3 stand this bulky heavy stand? Feel like returning just because I can't get the shots I want with this new stand!
Yes I loved the GO2 accessories- all so much smaller and didn’t need that bracket attachment. I’m not sure why they didn’t release the same style pivot stand as you say the new one is too big.

Thanks - it’s so light out of the case that the best thing would be to use a bit of Velcro on one of the arms
Do you have a recommendation for a mouth mount for surfing?
Search on Amazon for Pro standard grill mount 3.0 - there are cheaper ones available but this one looks better quality and has better reviews

No it’s made specifically for the go3 so won’t fit
Is the insta 360 monkey tail good and stable enough to mount the go 3 on bikes?
For road riding definitely and for off road it may be ok depends where you mount it and how bumpy it is

It works but isn’t invisible because the GO3 isn’t a 360 camera. You can still use it to get super high angle shots.
