Exactly what I need. As a felon from a drug possession charge, even with 4 years of sobriety, and not being able to own a real firearm I want this to defend my home and family. Of course I'll have to yest it for reliability myself but so far it seems like a great option
i think its absolute garbage that a non violent felon can't own a firearm. thats litterally just an excuse for the gov to disarm its citizens. the grimberg gavel is a good conceal carry option for you. and if your state allows black powder for felons that opens up all sorts of opportunity. but this air gun technology is getting very impressive!

I mean I can understand some cases like murder pedophile for just BS. You should have a chance to write yourself. I know I’m not getting hired. but anyhow, on with the gun air guns or how I went because of my circumstances, they’re expensive to get into but once you get over the hump, they’re great hunting self-defense just playing around at the range and you truly won’t believe the power of these things put out I have the AEAHP 50 max in 510 and trust me it’s small and powerful another fun gun I have is the hatson blitz 30 caliber fully automatic.. You can’t go wrong with a PCP although there are a little tricky to get used to nothing too crazy but perfect for people like us God bless
Meh-gah-low-don - the ancient great white shark - with a name like that I would expect it to be a speargun. $950 - relatively cheap compared to a lot of stuff you shoot. Not bad - nothing special or spectacular, but not every gun can be the best of the best or super unique - sometimes we just want to see how an average gun works. Gratz on clearing 50k - I'm showing 51k so you're already 2% on the way to 100k!
Very nice test. Basically the only Firearm i can legally own in germany without a buroucracy mess. In Theorie it should be limited to 7.5 Joule but Jörg Sprave made it so its limiting parts are removed in 3 seconds. Im sure its more than enough for Home defense.

the power with over 200 joules es extreme. a 22lr has around 90 joules, .22 WMR around 450-480. I think a smaller caliber would bring a better result, cal. 6.35mm or so, you can shot longer distance. This heavy 9 mm slugs are loosing very fast on velocity over a long distance!
Just think getting this in 50 caliber wonder how reliable this pump action is hopefully not like the blitz that was semi and automatic that was jam jam junk and pricy. Hopefully after few reviews see how reliable this pump is. Thanks for the review

Congrats on breaking 50k! Glad your channel's doing so well. You really deserve it. Not sure how other calibers or barrel lengths do, but at least as you tested it, I know it wouldn't be legal for deer hunting here in Indiana. Not that it really matters to me, since I don't hunt. But a lot of people would be looking at big bores just for that reason. Indiana requires at least .40 caliber and 400 foot pounds of energy. That varies from state to state.

Forgive my ignorance, I am a regular firearm guy. Does the slide action provide the air pressure to fire the round or is that provided by a separate air pressure source which has to be used to refill the gun after a certain number of shots? Thanks!
Hi there! In this case the pumping only cocks the next round. The air is stored in the tube-shaped tanks. This brand has been also releasing quite powerful semi-auto rifles lately. Hope this helps!.

Works fine left-handed but it is a little odd because the magazine goes in from the left side.And since i'm using my right hand I have to kind of reach over but it's no big deal. Is kind of weird loaded from that side

That penetrates a lot better with steel slugs instead of pellets. I saw it go through 4 2x4's and halfway through the pressure treated 2x6 back stop in .50 cal with slugs. My AEA .357 challenger pro has amazing penetration as well...

Dude when you do your recook on the gel you should really place water in there up Midway of the gel block form one as a thermal conductor but also as a thermal load because you have so much air between you're going to burn out your cooker quick if it has already burned out you don't want your cooker to be like me😂😂
@@AirgunAlley I don't know if you ever work food service but if you're familiar with a hot well pretty much same concept you got to have water in there to carry or conduct the heat also the air is usually not a sufficient enough load to maintain the temperature for significant amount of time thus cycling repetitively The elements and those things aren't meant to cycle that frequently and they will burn out if the upper end of the temperature they're trying to reach isn't met. Just trying to help the guy out that's all
Hahaha fair question. It means Pre-Charged Pneumatic. Meaning that you fill up a tank or a bottle attached or integrated in the gun that you must fill up with compressed air :) hope this helps

I love how you can just see the deformed slugs just falling out of the backside in slow-motion, I'm surprised this thing got any expansion at all. That's wild. You should do this on a single 1x4 block just to see how much penetration and deformation you can get with these big ol slugs

The tunnel of destruction design is evolving right along. It looks like you’d have an easier time if you could add hinges so you can open it like a car trunk. Or rods to lift straight off Instead of wrestling sideways . And love the way you say Me-gal-la-Don / Dunn sounds much cooler than Mega-lo-Don For sure. Hey Ray, good question! It kinda felt that way, but only because I pulled it out of the box and went straight out to shoot it. Completely unaccustomed to it. I’m sure once you play around with it and understand the movement and the right dose of strength needed , the pump action will flow much smoother. In fact, by the end of the filming of this video the ‘click-clack’ became a lot smoother than at the beginning.

I just got the 22 inch 50 cal. from Tom at bluegrass. I'm using 235 grain neilson slugs. Tom hooked me up with the 22 inch. And Only had to pay the price of the 15.. And the way things are nowadays.You order something and there is no person in between it's very impersonal. To actually have a company you can call on the telephone and talk to and ask question, Even text back and forth if needed. You have to love that. Especially when it comes To the money you're spending. He hooked me up. Waiting for My emperor because it is very loud.😅 But wow ! IT IS powerful.! I love my 30 cal. blitz , but feels like a toy in comparison.

@@zgomez68 As long as your o rings are in good shape, It should hold air pretty much indefinitely. I have a Big Bore Challenger that I haven’t shot since 2022 that is still holding about what I left in it. YMMV. Under no circumstances use petroleum based solvents or lubricants on it, as they Will eat your o rings. Silicone Lubricant only, Ballistol cleaner only.

When u shoot things like the pans or coconut etc... show the damage of what one shot does, before u go and shoot it 9 more times. Bcuz it makes ur experiments pointless.
Well but that’s why I show the slow mo profile, so you see how deep each shot goes. So I would!’t call anything pointless. At the end I just evaluate the gun’s power as a whole, the effects on the targets after dumping a full mag.

good... Here we saw a powerful air gun.. The fact that air guns have no recoil does not please me. But this gun was different.. I am sure that if the bullets were copper jacketed, they would have come out of the ballistic gel without being damaged. I thought it was stronger than the .22 caliber.
Do not put copper jacketed slugs in your air rifle, they do not have enough pressure to engrave the rifling into the copper and best case scenario you will be shooting a smooth bore projectile. Less best scenarios will result in damage to the rifling and/or the user… Air rifles lobbing lead at handgun muzzle energy, has handgun level recoil… but reduced by the mass of the airgun.

Its a good option while possible- these may get regulated as the power increases and the size decreases.

the power with over 200 joules es extreme. a 22lr has around 90 joules, .22 WMR around 450-480. I think a smaller caliber would bring a better result, cal. 6.35mm or so, you can shot longer distance. This heavy 9 mm slugs are loosing very fast on velocity over a long distance!

Not sure how other calibers or barrel lengths do, but at least as you tested it, I know it wouldn't be legal for deer hunting here in Indiana. Not that it really matters to me, since I don't hunt. But a lot of people would be looking at big bores just for that reason. Indiana requires at least .40 caliber and 400 foot pounds of energy. That varies from state to state.

Forgive my ignorance, I am a regular firearm guy. Does the slide action provide the air pressure to fire the round or is that provided by a separate air pressure source which has to be used to refill the gun after a certain number of shots? Thanks!
Hi there! In this case the pumping only cocks the next round. The air is stored in the tube-shaped tanks.

That penetrates a lot better with steel slugs instead of pellets. I saw it go through 4 2x4's and halfway through the pressure treated 2x6 back stop in .50 cal with slugs. My AEA .357 challenger pro has amazing penetration as well...

Dude when you do your recook on the gel you should really place water in there up Midway of the gel block form one as a thermal conductor but also as a thermal load because you have so much air between you're going to burn out your cooker quick if it has already burned out you don't want your cooker to be like me😂😂

@@AirgunAlley I don't know if you ever work food service but if you're familiar with a hot well pretty much same concept you got to have water in there to carry or conduct the heat also the air is usually not a sufficient enough load to maintain the temperature for significant amount of time thus cycling repetitively The elements and those things aren't meant to cycle that frequently and they will burn out if the upper end of the temperature they're trying to reach isn't met. Just trying to help the guy out that's all

How smooth is that pump action, it seems like it is a little sticky?
Hey Ray, good question! It kinda felt that way, but only because I pulled it out of the box and went straight out to shoot it. Completely unaccustomed to it. I’m sure once you play around with it and understand the movement and the right dose of strength needed , the pump action will flow much smoother. In fact, by the end of the filming of this video the ‘click-clack’ became a lot smoother than at the beginning.
@AirgunAlley maybe a little grease on the sliding track might help?
@ray330 definitely something to look into! I’ll be getting a long barrel and bigger caliber version soon, let’s see what we can do with that one…

Great question my friend, which I totally forgot to address, so thank you! Yess you can. The rear tank is detachable (even if full) and you can only use the front one. BUT of course, you’d only be able to shoot only one magazine (or a little more) in that configuration…

I just got the 22 inch 50 cal. from Tom at bluegrass. I'm using 235 grain neilson slugs. Tom hooked me up with the 22 inch. And Only had to pay the price of the 15.. And the way things are nowadays.You order something and there is no person in between it's very impersonal. To actually have a company you can call on the telephone and talk to and ask question, Even text back and forth if needed. You have to love that. Especially when it comes To the money you're spending. He hooked me up. Waiting for My emperor because it is very loud.😅 But wow ! IT IS powerful.! I love my 30 cal. blitz , but feels like a toy in comparison.

As long as your o rings are in good shape, It should hold air pretty much indefinitely.
I have a Big Bore Challenger that I haven’t shot since 2022 that is still holding about what I left in it.
YMMV.
Under no circumstances use petroleum based solvents or lubricants on it, as they Will eat your o rings.
Silicone Lubricant only, Ballistol cleaner only.

When u shoot things like the pans or coconut etc... show the damage of what one shot does, before u go and shoot it 9 more times. Bcuz it makes ur experiments pointless.
Well but that’s why I show the slow mo profile, so you see how deep each shot goes. So I would!’t call anything pointless.
At the end I just evaluate the gun’s power as a whole, the effects on the targets after dumping a full mag.

The fact that air guns have no recoil does not please me.
But this gun was different..
I am sure that if the bullets were copper jacketed, they would have come out of the ballistic gel without being damaged.
I thought it was stronger than the .22 caliber.
Air guns do have recoil, the heavier the pellet, the more recoil.
Do not put copper jacketed slugs in your air rifle, they do not have enough pressure to engrave the rifling into the copper and best case scenario you will be shooting a smooth bore projectile.
Less best scenarios will result in damage to the rifling and/or the user…
Air rifles lobbing lead at handgun muzzle energy, has handgun level recoil… but reduced by the mass of the airgun.
