...I hope the fans like it, it is said to be very different from the normal stuff Tuomas has written so far. Interesting to see what they have come up with 🙂
This is what one metal music critic wrote about the "Noise" music video: "The music video exceeded my expectations. As primarily a visual artist, this wasn’t just a music video, it was a piece of art, with a well-thought-out concept that somehow never has been more relevant than now. The music video showcased human archetypes and dealt with themes such as the over-usage of social media, the battle against climate change, arming ourselves against diseases with antibiotics, and much more. The whole music video was so detailed and layered that it will surely lead to conversation. If you ever want to see Tuomas as an ecowizard hugging trees, Floor obsessed by her phone, and Marko popping pills, you’ll be in for a ride".
absolutely, but I must admit I overlooked it when it came out with Anette. Until this young lady, what´s her name....Fleur? came and made it even greater, The same with "Seven days to the wolves", oh and "Bless the child", probably many more
This is why we need to promote this incredible band. They need more popularity in the States and Canada! Pass the word. A lot of reactors have commented on how Floor seems to appear out of nowhere. Two guitars make the sound thicker. Come on guys this song was very heavy, it just wasn't fast or thrashy. Does a song have to be fast or hectic to be heavy. This song is heavy in the way that the original creators of heavy metal were heavy. It sounded like Dio or Sabbath with an Arabian feel. I love this song and the way Floor was doing the Arabian chant and dance at the ending of the song.
Every morning before school i used to sit on the bus and this song was always played, it got me into a good mood in the mornings, this song gets me goosebumps!. This is the first live version i have seen on this song, it is a bit different to hear different singers, but it is really great!. 🤘🤘 keep on rocking!
Glad you guys did this! Hardly anyone reacts to Sahara, and I think it's a really good tune. It has an oriental flavour to it. Thanks! And props for History! The world needs more History buffs!
Nightwish always plays only at small clubs on their USA tours. Same thing with Australia and Japan/China. In South America they usually play in theatres. Europe and festivals are the places for their huge shows.
Their show and all stuff like Pyro etc, deserves a bigger venue. The best example why you need such venue is shown in Shudder before the Beautiful. There is so much going on at stage and the crowd is insane since the song is also a great concert opener
They love playing smaller clubs in America. It's more intimate and personal. It's definitely and underrated track and one of Annettes best in my personal opinion. Floor owns it as always. You want heavy? You want Nightwish? MASTER PASSION GREED!!!! 🤘 Vocally this track is all Marco.
Thanks guys! While the release date for their new album approaches, it seems that "Human :II: Nature" will be something like this: "It felt like my brain couldn’t process 45 minutes of layered art and was on the verge of melting. A roller coaster of emotions that had left me somewhat speechless", as one of the metal music critics wrote after hearing it for the first time.. He also said that: "I hear impressive vocal melodies, flirting with every position on the scale. Floor Jansen‘s voice goes up and down and takes you places it hasn’t gone before throughout the whole album".
Im waiting for the day that Nightwish plays and sells out Madison Square Garden ..NIGHTWISH needs more exposure ..airplay on the radio stations ..People in America need to get their local stations to get them on the air ..and let Nightwishs music speak for itself
Hi guys! Greetings from Finland! It's snowing here right now. Jonne shirt and a Kalmah cap. That's a spirit! I live here near the kalmah's origins. Kalmah's Antti Kokko is famous in Finland because he's participating a famous tv- show about hunting and outdoor life in Finland named "Eränkävijät" NW always delivers a good show no matter where. Floor is always great. We can always count on her. Sorry for you americans, that NW isn't so big in your country! Great job of two of you!
Sahara is really nice and good song, seldom heard. Nightwish world tour 2015-16 package includes 2 blue ray, 2 dvd, 2 CD and a photobook. Really nice package. Music included in video form: whole Tampere 2015 concert, whole Wembley 2015 concert and 10 extra songs. CD is Wembley concert. Those extras and their places are: 1. "Weak Fantasy" Vancouver (Orpheum) 2. "Nemo” Buenos Aires (Luna Park Stadium) 3. "The Poet and the Pendulum" Mexico City (Teatro Metropólitan) 4. "Yours Is an Empty Hope" Joensuu (Laulurinne Autodrome) 5. "7 Days to the Wolves” Espoo (Barona Areena) 6. "Sleeping Sun" Vizovice (Masters of Rock Festival) 7. "Sahara" Tampa (Ritz Club) 8. "Edema Ruh" (Acoustic) Turku (Baltic Princess Cruise) 9. "Last Ride of the Day" (feat. Tony Kakko from Sonata Arctica) Rio de Janeiro (Rock in Rio) 10. "Élan" Sydney (Enmore Theatre)
I am so glad you guys checked this one out! It definitely deserves more attention! Gawd, the bass in this song is just so yummy... see starting at 5:10 for example. And it was fun to see Floor play to the camera... something she rarely does. 🤗
You can go around USA and Canada by boat. Panama canal we all know...but then you need an Icebreaker ship made in Helsinki Yard to go through the 2 m thick icy polar sea of Canada (Nort West Passage) in temperature -50 C. The origin of that Yard is actually in Tampere ; )
I was at this show, and it was great, but I wish the crowd had been into it more. I think the Decades NA tour was about a year too early (they ere in another small venue across the bay in St. Pete for that). If they did it now, I really think they could play some bigger venues. They have just blown up with youtube and social media over the last 18 months. I wish they could play 4-5 larger NA venues, and then fill out the schedule with the intimate venues. Road trip!!!
The size of places was actually in a way a part of the fall out between the band and Tarja. The rest of the band was still into playing small clubs, they wanted to tour North America pretty heavily and Tarja wasn't so into it. She preferred bigger places and bigger paychecks. Obviously at the time the difference between them touring Europe and North America was insane. That's way their DPP tour with Anette was so crazy. They were so hungry to tour North America after all the cancellations and reluctance from Tarja. That's why they were so tired and sick all the time during 2007-2010. :)
I saw them in Pittsburgh in a venue as small as that. There wasn't as many people. Tuomas says he would like to always play in smaller venues to give the fans a chance to see them. They do have cruises on rivers. I think they were on a river for that Nightwish cruise. By the way this is one of my favorites. It is one of Floors too, because she asked to bring this back. Thank you for doing this one............ :-)
Floor likes to show up at the absolute last second before she sings. She dashes on stage just in time. She likes to dash. I like that but I've seen her cut it a bit too close at one time ;-)
My thoughts on this song when it came out over 10 yrs ago was that Tuomas wanted to write his own kashmir, not to copy Led Zep but wanting to experiment with oriental elements. There's also Sami joik singing there so it's Sahara mixed with Lapland. Don't know if Tuomas has done this kind of experimenting in other songs.
I'm in Toronto, and while I didn't go to see Nightwish, I can just bet how the audience would react. Nightwish is a bit more "upscale" than the regular metal crowd cold handle, I think. And, let's face it, Canadians can be a bit too polite for our own good. Oh, we can go MANIC at a hockey game, or go suicidal berzerk at the wheel of a car after our team wins gold at the Olympics. But we have this habit of pleasant , sedate behavior elsewhere. Which s too bad, because as I have seen in a lot of other Nightwish vids, when they perform in big or little venues in other parts of the world, the audiences just go crazy. As can be seen in "Please Learn The Set List In 48 Hours", the smaller venues are PACKED with rabid , adoring fans. ruclips.net/video/vhExkmWKMEU/видео.html
Y'all have some really interesting ideas about cruises and what constitutes a cruise. Metal cruises do exist here in NA by the way. Letting you know just in case that was something you're interested in checking out sometime. I love how much I love watching you watch Nightwish now. For me, I always start out like the people sitting in Toronto, trying to quietly appreciate the performance, trying to have some dignity. And I always fail miserably. They are so good live.
@@APREACTS The way I was taught geography in school, a great deal of Central America and islands in the Caribbean are part of the North American continent. But I understand that it's not taught that way universally, and that some cultures consider South, North, and Central America to be subsets of a singular continent called America, for example. So I apologize for originally misunderstanding what you meant by NA.
The short for Tampere is T: re. This is a song Amette did really well, also live, but you can't take anything from Floor, she makes every song her own in a good way. Now you should do The Siren from End Of An Era, short song too but a great song.
what you're describing about the venue, is exactly my disappointment on "The Pineapple Thief" concert in Baltimore last November. I believe seats take the enthusiasm out of the audience.
Next you will probably do Noice, the first single of the new album. But once again I recommend Beauty And The Beast, live feat Tony Kakko. ruclips.net/video/24tQIYmKFY0/видео.html
hello. Sahara is familiar piece of music for you, do you think it was different from studio version? i write this comment when song has not started yet.
At least Anette mastered the yoik parts of the song both record and live. I don't know why Floor sounded so awkward on that part of the song as she usually sounds technically pretty solid.
Next friday Nightwish will release their brand new single "Noise"! \m/
Nooice!
...I hope the fans like it, it is said to be very different from the normal stuff Tuomas has written so far. Interesting to see what they have come up with 🙂

I truly believe this is one of NW most overlooked songs ! :)

It happens when you have so many good songs.

absolutely, but I must admit I overlooked it when it came out with Anette. Until this young lady, what´s her name....Fleur? came and made it even greater, The same with "Seven days to the wolves", oh and "Bless the child", probably many more
Tuomas has said he likes to play in small venues instead of like Wacken (82.000+ people) cuz he likes the smell of sweat and beer of the crowd:)
Ahh, I always thought that there's something wrong with Tuomas' mind... geniuses are strange !
